Thanks for your explanation, but you never reimbursed me for the linens you didn't provide, nor did you ever contact me. Unacceptable.

First off, parking is fabulous, it's a shared parking with several other businesses. I used to live in NC and as walked in, I felt like I stepped into a Carolina BBQ joint! The decor is very rustic Americana. I loved all the signs! They were playing college football on their large TV's and one TV in the back was playing children cartoons on the TV. We were greeted by a very friendly lady with a beautiful smile. Excellent customer service! We ordered the family pack which comes with Brisket, chicken and pork. 6 jalapeño cornbread muffins and 2 sides we chose tots and smokey mac & cheese. We also ordered a side bowl of brisket chili. For our sauce we chose Flaming hot and Carolina Gold. Oh that Carolina Gold sauce is so delicious Everything was delicious! So juicy and melt in your mouth delicious I highly recommend trying all three meats! The brisket chili was delicious! I poured the brisket chili over my tots and omg! So delicious. The portions are huge! I will be having BBQ all weekend! I will be back! Highly recommend!

We got the beef brisket and two sides meal. And the Mac and cheese with sausage. The meat is SO tasty! The portion is right on the money for the food truck! The baked beans are genuinely tasty Tasty and the Mac and cheese is rich. Might be too rich for some. The sausage included with mine had also phenomenal flavor. With the right amount of saltiness. I'd be curious to see if portions Change at the restaurant, though to be honest, when food is THIS good, it's better to control your portions! Great visit and look Forward to someday stopping by the restaurant.

The upstairs is small and intimate, which gives the whole place a cozy, unique feel. Our waiter this time was a young gentleman who was incredibly friendly and did a great job! Three of us ordered Coors Lights in bottles, and he brought them out ice cold with a chilled glass to pour them into. When we ordered a second round, he let us know he had just put some more in the freezer, so it would be a few minutes. That little extra step made a difference...we'd much rather wait a few minutes for an ice-cold beer than have it brought out warm! I ordered the spaghetti with their house-made Bolognese sauce and added a meatball, and WOW. The sauce had the perfect combination of slight sweetness, a little spice from the sausage, and that tangy tomato flavor. So good! And I'm usually not a huge fan of restaurant meatballs because they can be tough or rubbery, but this one was soft, juicy, and packed with flavor. Sean got the lasagna and absolutely loved it! Our friends who invited us out ordered the steak and spaghetti Bolognese, and everyone was happy with their meals. The steak was cooked exactly how it was requested, and the quality of the food for the price was really good. Overall, Pellegrino's is just a great little place. Warm, inviting atmosphere, friendly service, delicious food, and a fun, intimate setting that feels a little different from your typical Italian restaurant. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a place to enjoy a good meal with friends. We'll definitely be back!

They served warm rolls with a nice infused olive oil, yum. Ordered the meatball parm sub. Was average in taste. Perhaps grilling the roll would prevent it from getting mushy as it sat. For their package where you pick 3 meats we suggested picking 2 and having a vegetarian option instead for the third. He said no this isnt necessarily, pick the three meats and he will throw a couple portabella mushrooms on the grill for the few vegetarians. He said to include them in the final count and email him before the event with the number of vegetarians and to let the vegetarians know to request them from the servers, as if they put them out on the buffet everyone will eat them. We did this and he responded to the email with the final invoice which we paid before the event. Day of the wedding we find out at the end of the meal our vegetarians asked about the mushrooms and they were told it wasn't on the invoice and we never paid for it. Absolutely embarrassing and extremely unprofessional. Now our guests think we didn't do anything for them and it was our mistake. We did pay for them and was told they'd have mushrooms instead. Reached out to voice my disappointment vs going to a review and his response was my cordinator should have noticed it wasn't on the invoice (i told her this is how he wanted it done and that's why they weren't there) and he also mentioned the food that was there turned out good as if that was supposed to fix everything. They are too busy opening up their new restaurant and don't care about you. Don't trust them for your big event!

We planned on 50 people and she provided enough food to feed all of the personnel at JBLM. OK, that may be a slight exaggeration but there was sooooooo much food no one went hungry and there was plenty for people to take leftovers home. My wife and I are mexican food connoisseurs and I'm telling you, Cindy's taco bar with all the fixins was some of the best we've ever had. In addition to the amazing food, Cindy's set up and clean up were also amazing. We didn't do anything except enjoy the party! Thank you so very much Cindy!!!

(*edit to add, my family CAN cook... sorry mom) While planning my daughter's 1st birthday party, I had lots on my mind. I realized I did not want to organize and cook all the food while trying to clean AND decorate. Yelp and Cindy's Kitchen reviews to the rescue....! Cost was extremely reasonable. She took my order over the phone, and payment was simple through app/invoice sent to email. Even better, Cindy delivered all the food right on time, set up, and picked up her platters afterward! We ordered the turkey & ham sliders, veggie pizza, mac & cheese, and Italian pasta salad. ALL delicious, plentiful portions (many took home leftovers!) and what a great menu to choose from. When Cindy is rich and famous, I hope she remembers the little people like me who appreciated her talent way back when. :)

    City Picnics

Absolutely would not recommend for catering…read more The biggest issue I had with city picnics was that ten of our vegetarian sandwiches had ham in them. Not only that, but when I called staff the next day that our office was open (which was delayed by a weekend and a snow day), they raised their voices at me and explained how I was wrong and how it is impossible for them to have meat in their veggie sandwiches. Well obviously not since that's what we had.. and without a doubt this was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with any business. If you follow my reviews, you know I am a fair person who has only once ever given a business a one star review. I don't do this lightly because I know that my review can have an impact on a business. But I've been in event planning for several years and have never had a worse experience than with City Picnics. We had a few communication hiccups, but nothing I haven't experienced before - catering is a hectic business and delivery to the Capitol Campus can complicate things even more. Completely understandable and not a big deal. They offered basic sandwiches with chips got a great price, and we were excited about not having to give an arm and a leg to provide lunch for our group. The biggest issue I had was, again, that ten of our vegetarian sandwiches had ham in them and instead of owning up to their mistake and apologizing (or at least lying about being sorry..) they argued with me, raised their voices, talked over me, and were extremely rude. When making sandwiches for upwards of 130 people, mistakes can happen. We're all human. I tried to explain that yes, it did happen, it's a pretty big deal that they should know happened, and that they should look into HOW it happened so that no other groups need to go through what we did with frustrated guests. I'm not sure why they think someone would lie about this for ten sandwiches.. but maybe they didn't hear me since they were pretty busy talking over me. I was looking for an apology and "we apologize" or "we're so sorry that happened" wasn't said one time. Instead they insisted on arguing with me repeatedly for a mistake they say is impossible but clearly happened - there were 100 witnesses at lunch. I wasn't asking for a comp of those sandwiches but after that argue fest and their unprofessional handling of my order I jumped to accept when they offered it for the 10 mislabeled ones. They won't be receiving my support again, and I'll be sure to pass along the message to colleagues who do large events on the capitol campus annually. Save yourself the trouble and spend a few extra dollars per person for professional service elsewhere.

They were incredibly efficient - everything was set up and ready to go at 1:00 pm, just as we had requested. We got the whole crowd through the line promptly. The food was excellent. True, it would be hard to screw up burgers, hot dogs and chicken on the grill, but the real test was the potato salad, which was wonderful. Everything was fresh, tasty, and clean. They stuck around and helped us clean up after we ate. The price was more than fair, a great value. The remarkable thing is that this was a crowd of crabby old people who complain about everything. But we had no negative comments about the food or service. Thanks to Holly and her co-worker (whose name I didn't get, unfortunately) for a really nice meal.
