I went in for a fill that I got at a different place and my nails were in really bad shape, the woman who was placed to do my nails spoke no English but my moms nail girl McKenna fixed my nails for the most part in between her clients absolutely love her but back to lily she needed her sister the owner to translate and as soon as I asked for a basic colored French she started to panic and I get placed with a different tech how did a wonderful job on the builder gel itself but the French tips were not the ones I asked for and they were too thick and slopy read more

I had my first experience with Elva Nail Salon & Spa today. I tried the Chocolate Spa Manicure. This came with a salt scrub, massage and parafin wax as well as the normal cut, file, shape, cuticle trim and polish. The basic manicure price is about $17 and the spa manicure was $27, which seems reasonable, the service was average, the employees seemed to speak English pretty fluently, the location is okay and the environment was mostly clean and kind of quiet, but not very private.. a little bit better than a typical strip mall nail salon. IMHO, I'd go back if I were in a hurry and/or wanted to save money over an actual spa.. but I'll continue looking for that 'spa' experience for now. read more

I had a horrible experience with Jenna. Made an appointment but it didn't seem to matter as she had two other customers she kept alternating back and forth. The shampoo and condition before the haircut literally took one minute. She then try to put layers in my hair but ended up just taking a chunk off the side. It looks so horrible but now I need to go somewhere else to have it fixed. Do not recommend. read more

This is salon does dip powder nails. They are like shellac but with acrylic powder that can be applied to your natural nails for $35.00 At first I was pretty skeptical but they look just like shellac nails and last for almost 3 weeks! I got a set of dip nails yesterday with Jimmy and they came out phenomenal! He is a very efficient and skilled worker who did great work. I did a simple light blue set with short tips and he asked my opinion throughout the appointment. He was prompt and made sure I liked my color before beginning. Another artist was working on a beautiful hand painted set as well which was nice to see. A great store full of talented people! read more

Had a hatchet job from Jenna today. Literally. She took a chunk out of the top of my ear with the clippers. She did apologize and applied something that I assume was to stop the bleeding. She said it was a tiny little mark and she couldn't believe it was bleeding so much. I wasn't alarmed at that time even though I could feel blood running down inside my ear canal because I know any wound to the head typically bleeds freely. She continued to finish the haircut. At the end I had to point out some pretty obvious length discrepancies from one side to the other (this is not unusual, I've been to see her 3 times and had the same experience all 3 times) which she corrected. I paid full price for the cut and tipped her 20% because hey, accidents happen and I am a generous person. When I got home and looked in the mirror I was kind of shocked to see that a whole flap of meat was hanging loose from my ear. It wasn't a tiny nip at all as portrayed by Jenna. No wonder it hurt so bad. No excuse for this from a professional hairstylist. I'm angry because she didn't acknowledge the extent of the wound and still charged me FULL PRICE. It isn't about the money but about doing the right thing. I will not be going back to Jenna again. Update- The slice on my ear went all the way through the curved part at the top and won't stay closed. It bled all night. It may need a stitch to keep it together or I will end up with a divot when it heals. I am going to try purchasing some skin glue to see if that will rectify the issue. I called to speak with Jenna to request a full refund and she was constantly interrupting me and ultimately hung up in my face. I called immediately back and the refund was processed by a different employee. I have used Jenna in the past even though I have had to go home and "clean" up her mistakes every time because the salon is close by. Jenna is the owner and has never given full attention to me when she has cut my hair. It's understandable that as the owner she would occasionally need to multi task but perhaps if she was focused more on her client than stopping whenever a new person came in the door she wouldn't slice through people's ears and give haphazard haircuts. read more

This place is great if you want to get either your nails, toes, waxing, or even your hair done! The service is great, and everyone is very friendly! I would have given them a 0, but I don't believe I can do that. This place is awful, I don't recommend going here at all!!!!!! They have a bunch of teenagers "training", but they need to have way more training before they start working on people's feet. I barely got a pedicure, she filed a little and cleaned my cuticles a little and that's it!!! And don't get me started on the polish, I could've done better myself at home. The polish didn't cover my whole toe nails and it wasn't neat at all! It was also very clumpy! I will NEVER go back here again! read more

I received a full face wax at Elva nail salon. It is a beautiful and scrupulously clean salon.The service is great, professional and you can tell they are all well trained and licensed. A full face, which is, mustache, brows, and side burns was $23. Go to Didi! She was fun to chat with telling me about her animals, and did a very thorough job, as well as listening to what I wanted my brows to be shaped. I recommend her to all my friends. read more

I've been going to Elva Salon for some time now. I normally get my hair cut by Trucky and she is amazing! I am always satisfied with my hair when I leave! I went to the salon on a Thursday afternoon around 430 and asked if they could do a pedicure (there's a sign that says walk-ins are welcome). I wish they had just told me no, but instead they moved a pile of clutter out of one of the pedicure chairs and told me to wait. After waiting about 20-30 minutes, a nail technician came over. She was very gentle, but appeared to be quite nervous, unsure of herself, and disorganized. The pedicure took over an hour, not including drying time. The water in the basin was barely lukewarm and there was a weird sulfur smell that was hard to tolerate. Once I had paid, I think I was forgotten about, even though the technician said she was coming back with drying spray (she never did, and then couldn't find it when I asked). The atmosphere in the salon appeared to be very hectic and disorganized, and it was very cluttered. To be fair, there seemed to be many regulars in the salon and the staff was very chatty and attentive to them. The regulars might feel very differently about this salon, but based on my experience I will not be returning, even though it's very convenient to my home. read more
