First off, they serve some of the best anchoas de l'Escala out there, which is a huge win in my book. Salty without tasting like a mouthful of salt but also fresh enough that you can actually taste the fresh fish underneath. Served with a very good version of the tomato bread ubiquitous on the Costa Brava.
Beyond that, they offer a fairly standard fare of fresh fish dishes typical of the region. Lunch included a small glass of cava upon being seated, which was a nice touch. Everything is cooked very nicely, and we had no complaints at all. The suquet de peix was not really what I expected a suquet to be (it was more of a fish stew than a classic suquet) but was very tasty nonetheless (though if you are eating with a partner, make sure that you both have it, or one of you will forever eschew the other thanks to the sheer volume of garlic in the dish).
The service is friendly though a tad forgetful at times. The outside terrace was very nice, though a few of the tables are right next to the car park, which doesn't afford a brilliant view.
Overall, a nice spot to get decently cooked local seafood in Llança. It won't blow your mind but it's not easy to go wrong either. Pricing seemed pretty spot on for quality and location. Oh, and beware of the sangria, it is good but POWERFUL!! read more
