A friend recommended ELOS after their experience. ELOS Dryer Vent Cleaning was very professional and punctual. I called Thursday and they came out Saturday afternoon. They were coming from another job and called prior to heading over to my house which was nice since it gave me time to get home (at my son's game). The dryer vent cleaning took less than an hour and his estimated cost was on target. Wayne was able to clear out a birds nest from the vent on the side of the house along with lint. This hasn't been cleaned since we moved in late 1998. He is thorough in his work and his explanations. They clean up the area also from all the lint. After completing the dryer vent, I asked for an estimate for cleaning air/cooling vents in the house. He gave me an estimate for that as well as the furnace. In addition, he recommended an electro static furnace filter which will last longer, its not disposable. I scheduled my furnace and vent cleaning the following week. Wayne and his son returned and cleaned the furnace, vents and even wiped down the vent frames within 3 hours. I also requested to purchase the electro static filter as it is a better fit. We always had a hard time finding the right size filter in stock at stores. Decided to give ELOS a call based on all the great Yelp reviews. Happy to report -- I was not disappointed! Spoke to Wayne, the owner, over the phone to obtain an estimate. The range was rather large, but based on Yelp reviews of other companies, it seemed fair. He was able to schedule me for the next morning (same-day had I wanted), showed up right on time, and was out in approximately 30 minutes. He explained everything that he was doing, and gave me tips on how to keep everything running smoothly. What I appreciated the most, was that when I asked him how often I needed to get this done, he could've easily said once a year; instead, he told me that based on the type of dryer we have and our short vent length - I was good to go for at least five! After helping me with the dryer vent, Wayne said to wait a week before sending my YELP review, to make sure I was really happy. Well, it's been a month, and just like he said, I think I have a new dryer. I am thrilled. The dryer vent to outside the house takes a treacherous path and has always been a problem. I have had countless people, from dryer guys to handymen, try to deal with it. Some shrugged, many tried something, nothing worked. When I finally called ELOS, Wayne interrupted my long and sad history and said, "I have seen everything. I will be able to figure it out and clear it up." He was absolutely right. When he speaks as if he knows what he is talking about, he really does. I wish I could hire these guys to do all of my fix-it projects. ELOS vent cleaning is AWESOME! I called Wayne, the owner, early on a Friday morning. I told Wayne about my issues, he said that he would come out that day and would work until my issue was resolved. Wayne showed up with Boy Wonder (sorry I didn't recall his name). When Wayne first arrived he had to determine where the vent left the building. Unlucky for him, it happened to be on the roof of the 2nd story condo. He ended up climbing onto the roof and unclogged the vent that had build up lint for over a decade. After that I told him of the smoke smell coming from the dryer. He ended up carefully cleaning the lint buildup that was beginning to catch fire due to the heating coil not having sufficient air flow. He even provided me with specifics about future dryer maintenance. The bonuses of using ELOS were, Wayne gave a time frame for arrival and even called to arrive earlier that day but I was out :(. He arrived before the scheduled time with a phone call in advance. Lucky for me, he had the dryer clean and all vent pathways cleared all before my wife arrived home :). ELOS is the best! They came over promptly as agreed. They carefully laid out their tools and ladders and went to work cleaning our registers and vents in our home. I was amazed at the "stuff" that came out. My house smells cleaner now. Wayne goes above and beyond when he services his customers. He cleaned up our heater, looked at our air conditioner, fixed a vent hose that was heating/cooling the attic, a mistake a prior contractor did. I would recommend ELOS and Wayne with out exception. Called this morning and was fortunate enough that an opening was available for later in the afternoon. Wayne and Joe promptly showed up during the 30 minute window given and immediately walked me through the process taking the time to answer any questions I had. They then worked meticulously to suck out a decade plus of neglect to the ducts within our house. Wayne even took the time to point out and fix our filter system (no charge)that was allowing 32 sq/inches of air into the furnance (causing alot of the crud build up over the years). I have been having a lot of grief with a rat or mouse in the ducts. My furnace guy pretty much excluded the furnace and thought the smell must be in the ducts. He had the idea that I should 're-duct' my house. This would be a big undertaking on a two story. I called Wayne at Elos and he told me 'reducting' was a waste of $$ and an overkill, if the problem was in the crawlspace near a duct. Wayne gave me some tips to try at no charge. I still don't have a final solution, but I am still trying Waynes ideas and testing after each. Only time will tell, or the mouse will just dry up. I was looking for a local company can replace my old Furnace, and install new AC. I was fortunate to have Pelle Heating and Air Conditioning as a contractor. I was in contact with Ben Avila, and Ben is very knowledgable on the equipments and he understands home owner concerns about home safety during the installation. First, Ben Avila had sent two people working on the site, and then two more technicians came to help. They were able to finish the installation in one day as Ben promised. I am very happy with the service, and the technicians were also very friendly and willing to do some extra work for me as I asked, and they also answer questions that I had.. After the installation completed, they cleaned up the work area, and removed all the debris, and returned the house to the same condition before the installation. Further more, they made sure the Furnace, and AC function well, and various check to make sure the installatio is good. Ben Avila also helped me to fill out the paper work so we can get the federal, state, and PG&E rebates. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service from Pelle Heating and Air Conditioning. Highly recommend Wayne and his crew. We called first thing Saturday morning for dryer vent cleaning and they were there a few hours later. Best $145 I've ever paid. We paid another company approx 6 years ago to clean our vents but we never saw how much they actually removed. Based on Wayne and his crews estimation we had about 15 years worth of lint in our vent!!! Yes lint does go everywhere however I would rather have lint than a fire. I could at least tell how much they got out. I have never given a review before on Yelp but felt the need to give this company 5 stars. We are first-time home owners and just bought a house where the prior owners smoked and had animals. We wanted to get the vents cleaned before we moved in. Wayne was very nice on the phone and answered my questions. When he came to the house to do the work, he did the work as promised. However, the problem that I have with his service is that we found out later that inside each vent was clearly visible asbestos tape. We learned about the asbestos from other contractors who, as soon as they opened the vents and saw the asbestos tape, told us that we shouldn't have gotten the vents cleaned because it pulled up the tape and released some of the asbestos into the ducts. Wayne opened each vent cover to clean them out individually and never said anything about the asbestos tape. I am very disappointed in his service for failing to mention the asbestos tape in the vents. read more

I contacted Elos to clean my air ducts and dryer vent. I spoke with Wayne, the owner, and he was able to come out the next day and perform the service. Great experience. They showed up in the allotted time with a call ahead to let me know they were en route. Wayne and his assistant we're professional and courteous. They explained the process and also made sure to wear protective shoe covering when upstairs in the carpeted areas. During the cleaning they showed me the dirt and larger debris they got out of the ducts. While cleaning the dryer vent Wayne brought to my attention that I was not getting enough air flow and asked me some questions and then checked the dryer connection from inside the house. We discovered that the installers who installed my new dryer a week earlier, literally shoved the duct work inside the hole, and damaged some of the sheetrock while they were at it (my bad, I should have checked their work more thoroughly). When we pulled the dryer forward the duct fell out of both the wall and back of the dryer. Note to self and others, when buying appliances from Home Depot and having them (outsourced vendors) install them, you unfortunately need to thoroughly check the work, and also make sure they are using most or all of the parts in the duct kit (you are forced to buy the kit if you choose Home Depot to do the installation). Lesson learned. Okay, back to Wayne, he was gracious and wanted to make the connection right. He had a part on his truck that he assembled and connected my dryer properly. Works like a champ now! That right there was going the extra mile to make a customer happy and build repore! When all the work was completed they made sure to clean up after themselves. I would recommend Elos! Wayne is great! I called him on a Thursday morning and he was out by Thursday afternoon. Unfortunately, I didn't have a dryer hooked up and he simply said call back when you have one ready. I called him Saturday morning at 11am, and he was at my house by 11:45am. He quickly cleaned the vents, then re-did some piping. When tape didn't quite do it, he offered to put some "super putty" on there to make sure there were no leaks. Wayne is great, and definitely recommend him. read more

These guys are just great. Wayne and his partner came out and fixed everything I needed in not much time. He set up a new furnace filter for me that gave me a new grate with a little door handle to open it easily and he set me up with a re-usable filter that I can just hose off to clean. I had a terrible time trying to pry open the furnace to get to that filter, so this is fantastic. They cleaned out all the gunk that had collected in there, showed me how to easily open and shut my new grate door that holds the new filter and they were so nice. Wayne even suggested I return my unused throw away filters to Home Depot where I bought them and get a store credit for something else! Thanks so much guys...you're great.
