On my list of things to do was to clean up our front garden, which was overgrown with weeds. I reached out to several landscapers, including Potted Up, South End Gardens, and Pemberton Garden Services. I laid out what we were hoping to do: clean up the garden and replace it with something beautiful and low maintenance. To my surprise, none of the landscapers were willing or interested in taking on our project. It was too small. A couple said our budget ($1k) was too low for them; they wanted bigger projects where they could put in water systems. I was dejected by the initial responses, but then someone recommended Erdman Design. Carey to the rescue! Carey was amazing - uber responsive and professional. We arranged a time to meet that week. He was willing to work within our budget. We bounced around several ideas of what I hoped the garden would look like - colors, type of plants/trees/flowers, etc. He planted it all the following week. We could not be more thrilled with the end result! It looks amazing - a complete transformation. I highly recommend Carey for any landscaping needs you have in the South End, Back Bay, or greater Boston area!

I was drawn into his enthusiasm while he described the projects and his obvious love, for what he so skillfully does. His designs range from initial advice and working with you ....through finishing touches with interior design/exterior design. He has a very keen eye. He's also incredible at floral arranging for holidays occasions and for weddings. As well as outside gardens, entrance ways and natural landscape garden focal points. I must also add Holiday decorating both interior and exterior. But book in advance I'd say for the holiday designs. Though I know he does his best to never turn business away. He will try to squeeze you in if he can. Overall his designs are smart, varied, and beautifully unique. So what has he done for me? I inquired about some landscaping my husband was doing, looking for tips and ideas to carry out our plan. Cary is not a pushy salesperson in the slightest and he came to our house to view our plans- which was not huge job. He listened respectfully to the plans my husband was very excited about and then gave us his ideas. At first we were reluctant to change our designs plans but as my husband and I discussed it further we realized he really had a knack for knowing about plant and shrub placement. We ultimately decided to go forward with his plan. Best decision we made!!!!!!. The trees he put in look absolutely fabulous and he staggered them for a full front privacy look, yet it has dimension- not a straight line. We asked him to purchase the Plantings... Junipers, andromedas azaleas. The specimens he picked are fresh healthy and gorgeous. He purchased, delivered, did placement and planted. Then have us directions for caring for them. I can't recommend Cary enough. He is thorough, fair in pricing, and very easy to work with. He also does window treatments something which I am about to call him and inquire about. 5 Stars!

Both Brad and Kendra asked us a lot of questions of what we were looking to achieve and through our input were able to come up with a final look we were absolutely thrilled with! They were very responsive and quick to follow up and came up with multiple alternate ideas when we were unsure about something. Overall we were most happy with the design and color choices that perfectly matched what we had pictured in the back of our minds. They are very flexible whether you're a person who love every minutia of choice or want to throw caution to the wind and let them use their imagination to come up with a design! Paola met with us for about 2 hours at our house, two months before we were going to sell. She gave us a run down of what she thought should be done. This included changing a carpet, painting a small room a neutral color, chopping down a small bush, getting rid of various pieces of furniture, moving some art work. We decided to go with it as we liked Paola's style. She is very direct and businesslike and we felt that she knew what she was doing. We did what she said and then about 5 days before the first open house she came back and she dressed each room with vases, throws, paintings, decorations. She moved furniture from one room to another, making me wonder why I hadn't thought of doing that while we lived there! In the end, our 36 year old house looked like a new house. We were delighted. I am pleased to say that our house looked so good that it sold the day after the open house for the asking price. It was a nice house anyway, but Paola made it really shine.

We appreciated that Paola tried to use as much of our own furnishings and decor as possible - moving items from one room to another or simply "decluttering" them. Our house went under agreement the first Open House weekend. Paola was easy to communicate with even answering last minute decor questions. I was…read moreskeptical about retaining a stager because my place is fairly small and I wasn't sure it was worth the cost. The issue with staging is that you have to have faith. You will never know how much of an impact it had, if any. I think Maureen did a great job though! She told me what items to put into storage to make my place look bigger and she reorganized my things in a way that made the condo more inviting. She also brought in some of her own things to complete the picture. I would highly recommend DaVinci if you are going to use a stager. My realtors use her themselves when they sell their own homes too. She is definitely an expert at what she does! The only reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the cost. My condo is only 700 square feet and the cost was $2,500. Maureen came for an initial consult and then spent one full day staging. Again, I have no way of knowing how much added benefit the staging had with the sale price and while I'd like to think it increased the sale by at least $2,500 I just don't know. In any case, I would still highly recommend DaVinci, especially if you have a larger home or you are selling in a less desirable area as I think the added benefit will be more noticeable.

Someone took the time to label our cabinets as broken but never ordered new cabinets for us. Then the audacity to deliver broken cabinets to a customer's home? Apparently, we were expected to accept broken cabinets even though we paid for brand new cabinets? Multiple other drawers delivered to us were broken, then the replacement drawers delivered to us were the wrong color. It has taken about 3 months to finish installation because of all these errors. Please do yourself a favor and purchase kitchen cabinets elsewhere.
