Mozzarelli's Lima-Dupont Road - nice local-non chain pizza shop. Andy, the owner, has been…read moreproviding good pizza to the northwest community for quite a while. Our family really likes Mozzarelli's when we are looking for a good-value orientated pizza that isn't a chain place. We ordered a supreme speciality pizza and cheese sticks. The pizza crust has more of a flour flavor - with some hints of butter and garlic. It is baked to a moderately soft consistency while retaining a slightly crispy crust. It is perfect to dip the provided garlic butter. The tomato sauce has a decent spicy-heat flavor to it. It's just enough to let you know it's there without overpowering the taste. It seems to have a bit of a tomato paste consistency and flavor. You will enjoy the piles of fresh toppings. Plenty of tasty meat. The fresh tasting cheese is pretty thick on the top without oozing all over the place. A pretty good pie! A mark of good pizza is how it tastes cold the next day. Mozzarelli's pizza tends to run drier and tougher the next day. The topping tastes are still excellent. Overall the pizza is just not as moist and as easy to chew as i would prefer. Our house likes the inexpensive cheese bread a lot. The crust is a bit tougher and crispier. A more predominant butter taste is applied. The cheese isn't all that thick. However there is enough to let you know it's cheese bread and will need to be pulled apart. The thin cut strips make it easy for people to pick the pieces that fit their appetite. The cup of marinara sauce that comes with it is thicker in consistency. It doesn't have the spicy taste

Unlike the majority of pizza places in Fort Wayne, , they don't have gluten-free options, so I can't eat there. They took the two slices out of the display case (for who knows how long they were sitting) and reheated them. It was the greasiest pizza he ever had. The grease was flooding the plate and dripping down his arm. Mediocre taste. Also the typical ridiculous Electric Works price. Be aware that there's a cult of people who defend this place viciously on social media, so if you're not a fan of conflict, you might not want to express an opinion less than glowing.

Solid NYC style pizza…read more.. Been wanting to try Johnny Ox for a while and finally got around to it... Glad I did, because the pizza was great. It's your classic NYC style pie... Crispy crust with a chewy middle, tangy red sauce, and good ole low moisture mozzarella. While I didn't love the house made sausage (it had a funky spice that I couldn't quite figure out), the pizza itself is some of the best I've had in FW. If you've been to NYC pizza joints, Johnny Ox brings back those memories... Definitely worth a stop to grab a slice or two (or a whole damn pie).

I was…read morebragging about River Bin Pizza to my friends, as they had never had it and I hadn't had it for a long time. When we went, there was an hour wait, which is fine. However, they said they only take cash, so we left and had to go to the ATM to get money out. We eventually came back, and the lady had overcharged us and had to recalculate our order. We got two sausage rolls, a medium pizza, and a small pizza for almost $50.00. The sausage rolls were a great price, but the pizza is way overpriced, in my opinion. Unfortunately, the food was a letdown, big time. The sausage rolls were kind of burnt on top, and the inside was not hot. The carnivore medium pizza was dry and overcooked, and when you grabbed a piece, all of the toppings fell off. The small Thai chicken pizza was overcooked, dry, and hard to eat. It was like eating cardboard. We tried to eat but threw most of our food away in the trash. I really want to go back and try others, but I don't know if I will, unfortunately.

The pizza is kind of like a NY / tavern style hybrid, and is the perfect "beer drinking" pizza. The best part is they aren't price gouging or extorting customers with ridiculous prices... Two large pizzas = $32. Hats off to RBP... We'll be back again for sure.

Lexy's Pizza (Spring Street, Fort Wayne) - first time trying this pizza institution…read more I've seen lots of outstanding reviews for Lexy's. How can you live in the Fort and not visit the original Spring Street location that was founded by Lexy Demetroff since 1957? Well...I've now checked that one off my bucket list! I ordered a medium Everything pizza around 4:30p on a busy Friday evening. They quoted me a 40 minute wait time...and they were spot on. Lexy's pizza menu and prices are typical of most non-budget pizza places. They offer deep dish pizzas as well. The Spring street location is small with ample parking in the back. There is thin table that lines two walls with bar stools. I suppose you could eat in. However carry out is most common. The kitchen is wide open to the entry way. You can watch the pizza artisans doing their craft. I found the team here to be very friendly and welcoming while focusing on pizza making. In my first trip to Lexy's I found the pizza to be quite delicious. The crust is thin. The edges are crispy - yes, really crisp. The underside in the middle of the pizza was soft and nicely baked. No obvious added flavoring to the crust. Pretty much a plain flour dough. Lexy's motto is "Generous portions, Quality ingredients"...and that is what I found. The toppings were piled high on a bed of ground up American sausage. The rest of the meats and vegetables were plentiful and tasty. The toppings were held in place by a thick bed of fresh mozzarella cheese. The pizza is well baked as evidenced by the crispy edges and "frico" browned cheese. The browned and slightly crispy cheese added a different taste to the oozing bed of mozzarella that was below the surface. The sauce was not as prominent as I hoped. The toppings dominated the taste. The bit of sauce I could detect was slightly sweet and had a good tomato taste. The whole pizza was nicely moist. You pick up a good blend of different ingredient tastes. Cold Pizza Test - the next morning the cold pizza tasted almost exactly like the pizza from the night before - delicious! The pizza was still very moist. The crust was still very crispy. The flavor from the toppings did tend to faded a little.
