I am here to inform anyone that we at Geils Funeral Home in Bensenville and Wood Dale, IL would be glad to serve any family in need. We are not far from Franklin Park and have two chapels. One is an older building with a "Grandma's House" feel and is located on York Rd in Bensenville and the other in Wood Dale is more modern and located on Irving Park Rd. The owner Ryan Geils and myself (the Funeral Director) will do anything we can for you and your family. Just reach out to us. (630) 766-3232 I don't know what happened to Gina Lewis and I hope she recovers from her demons and someday can make amends somehow for the many wrongs she has committed due to her personal issues. I heard and read many stories that tell me she behaved like a rotten person and treated people awefully. She needs to make right for her, her family, and those she wronged. In the meantime my funeral home will do anything we can to earn your trust and most importantly...to be worthy of that trust. Best wishes to all and Once again (630) 766-3232 www.geilsfuneralhome.com geilsfuneralhome@gmail.com

When I was dealing with this funeral home to bury my cousin Frank in December it was a nightmare. I…read morewould spend hours attempting to get in touch with the owner or anyone at the Funeral Home in order to get questions answered and clothing dropped off. I would go there and sit outside and no one would be there. This happened repeatedly to both myself and my brother. He had attempted to go to the Funeral Home deliver the check for the funeral services. But instead he found it abandoned with just dogs walking around and a door left open. We had finally arranged for him to be buried on the 21st. However, their hearse not start. And we went off to the cemetery to meet the priest and family members. There we were to wait for the body to arrive after they got the car started. However they never showed and I was emailed by Gina Lewis the owner who said we don't leave because you did not pay. She knew we had the check with us but we were sent ahead to the cemetery. I sent other cousin back to the funeral home to give them the check which had been renting out since the 14th of December. However what he got there the only one there was the tow truck driver who was still waiting for the driver to return with cash to pay for the jump. No one ever return back to the funeral home and the police had to be called for lack of payment to the tow truck driver. I made another set of Arrangements again with Gina Lewis the b u r y Frank on December 24th. Christmas Eve. She told us someone would be at the funeral home and we would drive to the cemetery. I waited there with my cousin and my elderly mother 4 hours and no one showed again I could not get in touch with her and was once again blown off by the owner. I contacted the police and let them know that the funeral home was holding the body of my cousin and not releasing it even though we were attempting to keep giving them the check but no one would ever be around. My cousin Frank was finally lead to rest on December 27th. His daughter missed the funeral and the stress that it's caused for his family has been heartbreaking. In addition I need to say the condition of the funeral home was appalling. It's hard to believe that this is actually a funeral home. The filth are the carpets which have not been clean and I would have to say well over a year. Dog stains, clothes strewn around parlor B. Is somebody living there is it being used for something other then funeral services? Who belongs to all those clothes? Is it close of deceased or is it just friends of the owner. It looks like a place people like to crash in party not like a place of respect for the Dead. The business practices are very questionable and should be investigated.

We were referred to them through Mount Emblem cemetery on Grand Ave. We were dealing with all sorts of difficult decisions with my dad while he was in hospice and needed someone great that would help us with what we needed. This was definitely the place. I called and talked to Cheryl before my father passed to ask questions and see what we could do with the limited info we had at that time. See, my father was in the military, and even though we thought we had all of the right paperwork, we didn't. My father was, shall we say, less than organized. She directed us where to look on the website to get better ideas of what was offered, and answered my questions the best she could with the limited info I had. After my father passed, my brother contacted Cheryl to take care of the arrangements. When we went to make them, Cheryl was great. Easy to talk to, and remembered when I called her the previous week, even though I'm sure I didn't leave my name. All three of us bonded immediately. Cheryl went above and beyond to make my father's service great. From dealing with the military and the paperwork, and getting everything lined up in a timely fashion, beginning to end, the whole staff there was pleasant and accommodating. If you find yourself in the difficult position of planning this type of event, I HIGHLY recommend this Funeral Home. Unfortunately I have had way too many experiences at other places, and Pedersen Ryberg was by far the best. Thank you again, Cheryl and staff, for putting together a memorable service for my Dad. I know he appreciated it, and so did we.

It's a horrible time and they made it as easy and free of any challenges as possible. The original meeting was dreaded to be expected, but they used such care, warmth and support helping us through the process. Michael gave us a lot of help in making choices, but never pushed anything on us. I truly felt that he was almost part of the family as how much he and his sons showed such care. The most unexpected part of the process was how my dad looked at the wake. One of the biggest things I dread is seeing the person in heavy makeup, and nowhere near looking like themselves. My dad looked so great! I was so happy to see him looking like himself! They really had to work hard and use a lot of care to get him to look this great. Many people said the same. It gave me great comfort to look at him and see him as he normally looks! Michael and his sons took care of everything every step of the way. They were kind, considerate and respectful. They explained what was going to happen and when leaving nothing for us to worry about. I can't convey enough compliments about the Carbonera's services. I highly recommend them.
