After getting in the warm clear somewhat wavy water we got thirsty and decided to try their local beer, Carib lager and the Limi da' coconut cocktail which has a blend of lime juice, coconut rum and a hint of citrus. It was delicious and refreshing. Fyi- they only accept cash unless you buy $15+ worth of f&b. Overall it was a nice day at the beach with refreshing drinks. The local staffs were somewhat friendly and helpful when asked.

We came in for dinner and had the whole snapper. It was delicious. It does have a lot of bones to pick out, which our server warned us about, but worth it for me. Next time, though, might try the grouper, which is a fillet without the bones. Sides of Potatoes and veggies were great. We had it with a Caesar salad, which was fresh and delicious. And we brought home a Caesar salad with chicken back for our daughter, who loved it. It was a Thursday night, and Myett's had a really great steel drum band musician who also sang, and had a beautiful voice. kind of modern classic songs. . Very cool. Great location and view. Absolutely recommend.

This is a very touristy spot on the main road. The menu is bar food and a variety of entrees that are higher quality. They're known for the painkillers where you pick how much pain you are in to determine the amount of alcohol. The calamari was average but the fried jalapeños were good. The coconut shrimp were very good and I picked the vegetables and rice as my side. Overall, it was a pretty good dish and a large portion. The staff is friendly and the food arrived in a timely matter. They also have a large gift shop in the back. FYI: the address isn't right on Yelp for this. It's right across from the ferry port.

The name is a slang for a British Navy officer known as a "Purser". One of the Pusser's daily tasks was to supply rum (a special Admiralty blend or "tot") to the sailors aboard the ship. The original recipe was somehow passed to the founder (Charles Tobias) in 1979. It still remains to be the closest to the original Naval recipe to date. Another fun fact is that this rum is actually a product of Guyana. Port Mourant double wooden pot stills are used to distill it. Most people will say that rum is rum. But hey, I can only tell you that there was definitely something special in that famous Pusser's Pain Killer. My husband even said it was the best rum drink he has ever had. Take that for what it's worth because we really don't drink that much. Ha! Jem was our bartender, and she was absolutely fantastic! So upbeat, warm, and friendly. She's everything that you'd want in a bartender. She explained the Pusser's Pain Killer numbering system. I was sold on the well-balanced No. 3. My husband went with the No. 4. I've had Pain Killers numerous times in my life. This was the best EVER! I don't know if it was the rum or the fresh grated nutmeg. Maybe it was the cream of coconut. I don't know, but I would have had a second one had we not had to walk back to the ship. If that's not enough to tempt you, then you must try their Conch Fritters. It has so much conch in it. More than any I've ever had. They are delicious! The firecracker dipping sauce made it even more special. The Bang! Bang! Gulf Shrimp were also pretty awesome. The batter was so much lighter than it looks in pictures. All in all, a great food and drink experience. We liked it so much that we decided to buy a couple of t-shirts in their branded clothing store. All 100% cotton! So comfy! We can't wait to return. We'll be back again in December if all goes well. It's such a great find within walking distance from the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier.

Ended up having to take a mooring in Little Harbor and end up picking up one of Abe's Restaurant's moorings. Abe's had the best Painkiller cocktails on our trip and they even shared their recipe. We spent the day at Soggy Dollar, but decided to give Abe's a try for dinner over the much more popular and busy Foxy's Taboo. We were pleasantly surprised. The conch fritters were fresh and unique from those we had throughout the trip. My picky eater daughter, who just turned down finishing a conch fritters the night before, finished Abe's fritter and ask for more. The owner was even nice enough to make some fried shrimp and chicken wings, even though they were not on the menu. All meals came with a yummy coleslaw, corn on the Cobb, and seasoned rice. We did not have the lobster. But the table next to us had a platter with 2 whole lobsters served to them, which were completely devoured in no time at all, so I can only assume they were good. We will be back to ABE's. Only downside is it is a bit pricey with most meals in the $40 range. However, this is our first time eating on JVDI,so we have no basis for comparison. PS: If you are planning to come to eat, just give ABE's a call ahead of time and they will have everything ready. We waited about an hour for our food, but that is just part of getting fresh food on island time.

I'm an open-minded eater who travels a lot and will happily try almost anything--but even I met my match here. I ordered the jerk chicken plate with slaw and mac n cheese. The chicken was dry, but honestly the best part of the meal, which is saying something. The mac n cheese looked and tasted like it had been abandoned hours (or days?) ago--curdled, cold, and topped with a crust that could double as a roofing material. The slaw? One bite was all I could manage - a first in my 35 years on earth. A friend described it as "looks like slaw, tastes like a plastic bag," and I wish I could disagree. My partner's chicken salad sandwich didn't fare better. The bun was burned so black it looked like it had been broiled by the Caribbean sun itself, and the chicken salad had a sour tang that overpowered everything else. My friends shared the brisket plate; the brisket was good (truly!), but the sides were a continuation of the theme: barely edible at best. We ended up at a grocery store afterward, scavenging crackers and cookies to survive the night--never a great sign after paying Virgin Island prices for dinner. For what it's worth, the restaurant next door, Surf Club Cantina, was excellent. Do yourself a favor: eat there, and steer clear of Johnny Lime.

The drinks are a little pricier, but taking into account you're in the middle of a national park with not much around, the prices make sense. Drinks absolutely delicious - we loved the pina colada! I'm not sure if they're related or not, but there is a little food shop little right next to it with the same available seating. As with the drinks, food there is a little pricier but take into account where you are. We ordered the mahi bites. Absolutely delicious. When I returned them, he ran the tab on my credit card and said the total was $49.20, which was $8 more than it should have been. I asked him why it was so high and he said sales tax. I told him I didn't think sales tax was charged on St. John and he said it was charged everywhere in the Virgin Islands. Very suspicious, I left and waited for the receipt to come through text. The receipt showed that the $8 was a tip that Desitin had added without my knowledge. I went back and comfronted him and told him I know what he did and I don't appreciate it and I would be letting managagement know, then walked away. He chased me down and handed me $10 and said he wanted to "makes things right", but then proceeded to gaslight me into thinking this was all my fault. He said I should be grateful that he didn't double charge me on the rental. What??? I have tried to contact management, but I guess they don't want anyone to send complaints. The two phone numbers I found and one email address are total dead ends.
