They seem to try to find ways to NOT help you. I know that they are overpriced but was willing to pay more for the convenience, but it turned out that they didn't have everything I needed to compete a plumbing project. Convenient yes, helpful NO! Add to that an incomplete selection and it's a NO! As an aside, I tried to rent a rototiller there like Jim L in the comments, only to have it not work. I was told when I returned it, "That's just a display model, we shouldn't have given you that one.!" No kidding. I thought it was an exception, but apparently not.

I was not happy with the way things were working there and said so. Now, years later, I can honestly say that they are much more organized and kempt. That being said, there are still some issues; i.e., like going in to not find everyday items I expected; certain hose bib size, specific type duplex receptacle and in late September/Early October, they were out of a common weed control product, Weed-B-Gone. I still go here regularly, though, and find it convenient because it is so close to the house and I don't have to travel to go to a big box (Home Depot/Lowes) and deal with the crowd, parking and size of the warehouses. So, all-in-all, the store is organized now and "mostly" has what knick-knacks I want with the occasional exception.

Called to tell them what happened and explain I'd like to come back, please, for my other two keys at no charge. Talked to Harry. He was short, interrupts and tells me I'd have to come in and show him. No, It's a simple ask, your mistake, and you are wasting my time. The least you can do is listen to your customer. NOT HELPFUL. Drove to ELLIOTTS and paid again (1$ less per key) and they were done properly. No thanks Harrys Ace Hardware. Will drive for Elliott's.

DO NOT RECOMMEND this hardware store…read more Refused to provide my return of an item (which was $7) because I mistakenly walked into the store with my previously purchased item and walked pasted their waist level sign saying "no returns beyond this point". This was my 2nd time in the store and it will be my final. I have never had someone accuse me of stealing, especially with no reason to do so. It was an honest mistake. End all be all, Greg (the floor manager) clearly hates women, not to mention I'm 8 months pregnant - he confiscated my item (because he couldn't confirm that I didn't take it off the shelf - even though I didn't go near that isle) and refused to refund my $7. He claims because it was in a bag he could not confirm that I didn't take the item that day and "his count was off". Pretty much I walked in and was robbed myself. No store should assume that their customers are stealing to this degree and no one should be treated in the way I was. ACE learn to have some faith and give grace to people...
