If you are staying at the RV park you can use the area to fish even if you don't have a boat. The area is so nice because it is a combination of wild area and water. The restrooms are also nice and clean. The bathroom areas are all private. Each bathroom has a shower also. It was nice peaceful and quiet. We did get to see some gators and husband caught some fish. The park is conveniently located just a few miles from the USS Alabama ship and museum. If you want to go somewhere a little more upscale Fairhope is only an about a 20 minute drive. It is outside of town, but within minutes you have grocery and retail shopping.

Do not let that deter you from visiting this park, all up and down The Gulf Coast, from Texas to Florida you will find that type of wild life, even on The East Coast all the way up to North Carolina. Nice boardwalk for a stroll with your doggo. I did not get a chance to travel the entire length of the boardwalk because I heard a lot of thunder, the sky was clear, so I left and within ten minutes it rained ( storms are common here, but usually brief, in fact it rains every afternoon in the summer). We found this by searching for trails close to us. We have driven all around this in the past and…read morenever knew it existed. There aren't any signs for it leading you to it, and unfortunately there isn't an address, so you have to navigate to it from the map. There is street side parking with no organized parking lot at the trailhead; though there is a nearby parking lot or two. Disc golf is around the trail head. I don't know much about disc golf but there is a difficult shot across a gator infested pond. We enjoyed the hike. There are 1 mile, 2 mile and a 5k option. There are maps throughout the trails showing where to turn. It wasn't crowded, though there were a couple of off road bicyclists who didn't realize that they don't own the trail (and I bicycle several times a week). Part of the trail was flooded from recent rain, but otherwise it was quite an enjoyable experience.

The roads & parking lot are gravel. No playground, but I think this place is good for kids, lots of outdoor space & trees. I think that Baldwin County does Civil War reenactments here. Very easy to get to, right off of I-65 @ Exit 31, just two miles past a Circle K gas station, Live Oak Landing & two creeks on AL-225, I think.

This park is off the beaten path, it has portable toilets instead of permanent restrooms. There are six pavilion ms with picnic tables, trashcans, water faucets, and electric light switches that includes two AC outlets to charge your phone, plug in a radio, etc. There are no BBQ pits at this park, so you will need to bring your own portable grill. There is a playground set back far from the road, has newer playground equipment in good conditions plus swing sets. The park also has walkways, a basketball court, and a large open green space directly behind the playground.the park had two small sized parking lots, one by the entrance, and one next to the playground.
