I needed to send flowers to my daughter's college ASAP, after looking online for a while, gave Ellington's a call and right away they offered better price and excellent service. I requested a specific arrangement and within an hour they sent me pictures and were on their way to deliver them. I will use them every time!

I've never been in a position to make such a purchase, so I didn't know exactly what to get. I checked their website with a coworker, and saw some really great options. Then I called and the lady was very helpful. She estimated a time of about an hour to prepare my selection to take with me. When I got there the next day I spoke with someone else but she was just as helpful. She walked me through the store showing me what they have and explained how it would be put together. While she prepared the double basket of peace and calla lilies, I saw beautiful lantern that was also on their site. They prep took way less than an hour, maybe 30 minutes tops from the consultation to the readiness of my purchase. They have a delivery option for $10, but I was close enough to deliver it myself. My friend was very pleased. Thank you ELLINGTONS!

My wife wanted to get my mom some flowers for Mother's Day this year. She did a Google search and Ellington's Florist came up as one of the top search results in High Point. My wife then looked up Ellington's Florist on Yelp to see the shop's ratings and reviews. She looked at Ellington's website (https://www.ellingtonsflorist.com/) and liked that they had a "Deal of the Day" where the florists design an arrangement "using the freshest available flowers." Finally, on the "About Us" page of Ellington's website, my wife liked that the shop is local and has been in business in High Point since 1924. So, she liked what she saw and decided to go with Ellington's. I approved. Mother's Day was this past Sunday, May 9th. My wife placed the order "late" on May 6th. When she ordered, deliveries for May 9th were not available. Therefore, she had the flowers delivered the day after Mother's Day, which was fine. It was a nice surprise for my mom and she loved the flowers. My mom received the Mother's Day Designer Bouquet, "Deluxe" version. Other versions included the cheaper "Standard" version and the more expensive "Premium" version. The arrangement cost $69.95 plus a $5.00 delivery fee and $5.06 in sales tax (6.75%) for a total of $80.01. Generally speaking, this price is on par with most of the arrangements I've purchased for various people and occasions in the past. I do believe this particular price was slightly higher than normal (about $5) because I've heard that flowers are more expensive for flower shops to buy in bulk for Mother's Day. Understandable. The bouquet looks beautiful. My mom took a picture of them and sent it to us. She was very happy, thankful, and felt loved. The flowers did the job. I could tell from the picture that the arrangement was high quality. I didn't see a single bad flower in the arrangement and overall, I thought the arrangement looked terrific. I had no problems with it. Another reason why my wife chose Ellington's is because the Mother's Day Designer Bouquet gave the florist creative freedom to design the arrangement. Therefore, they did not have to follow a certain template. In other words, this was not a "cookie-cutter" bouquet. That said, it would have been nice if the flower types were described to us somewhere, but all we got in the emails was "Mother's Day Designer Bouquet (Deluxe)" as the description. Not a big deal. So far, I've got a total of six emails from Ellington's Florist. The first email was the order confirmation email. The next four emails all came on the same day - delivery day. On delivery day, the second email was to let me know that they were working on the order. The third email was to say the gift was on its way. The fourth email was a delivery confirmation (this one lined up nicely with my mom's text). The fifth email said the flowers were successfully delivered to the recipient and had a link for me to leave a review on Lovingly. The sixth email came today with a reminder to leave a review on Lovingly. Instead, I am leaving my review on my favorite review site, Yelp. :) A few additional notes: The website allowed us to include a small note (this is standard among florists) and had a box for delivery instructions. This was a local, hand-delivery. The flowers were delivered between 12-1pm on Monday.
