The employee at the front wasn't super knowledgeable about the products, but she made a real effort to look things up and help us the best she could, which we appreciated. What really stood out were the toys--so many unique and high-quality options, especially the wooden ones (which we love!). My son picked out a toy, and there were so many others we'll definitely come back for. The store also carries a great variety of baby and children's clothes, all thoughtfully curated. Bonus: parking was super easy, which made the whole visit even better. A sweet little spot worth checking out, especially for gifts or unique finds!

Beautiful children's clothing!…read more If you grew up like me wearing smocked dresses, etc, you will love Caroline's stuff. She designs all the clothes herself and has expert seamstresses, etc, make them. I can't decide if my favorite was the one with the three dogs - the "Trio of Labs"! - or the fish! Boys and girls clothes, seasonal, themed . . . just precious. And reasonably priced for such pretty goods - $30-$50 for something you would take a holiday picture of your babe in is pretty sweet. Shop online at http://www.crescentmoonchildren.com. She also does trunk shows, and is just a doll in general. But really - the dresses, short suits and reversible (really! one precious jumper had a pumpkin on one side and a reindeer on the other!!) outfits are too cute to ignore.

We just finished lunch across the street and decided to check it out. In past experiences, these boutique stores I find are often wildly expensive and only good for the special occasion outfit, but I was surprised at Sweet Peas. Not only did they have multiple racks of 40% off items from last season, their full price items were not outrageously priced. It's still a curated boutique and the prices reflect that, but I felt it was very reasonable. The owner of the store started it because she has two granddaughters and she was very helpful while we browsed the racks. I was buying for my friends 9 month old and we left with an outfit, a pair of flared leggings, and a silicone sippy cup from a North Carolina based company that the mom (and baby) loved.

I left the store today embarrassed, upset, and absolutely appalled!!!!…read more I traveled to Stride Rite in Mt Pleasant with my daughter and her two toddlers to look for shoes, I had been a customer years ago when my children were young and highly recommended this store to my daughter when she needed to buy shoes for her children. She has been a customer for the past few years not only when buying shoes but clothing from the shops adjoining the shoe store. The sales lady measured my grandson and granddaughters feet, and then my daughter looked around, picked out several pairs of shoes. She had four pairs of shoes they were all different sizes (because some ran big and some brands ran small). Trying to figure out what she wanted to do she was writing down notes about the shoe, size, cost. She wasn't planning on buying all of the shoes at that moment but was planning purchasing at least one pair for each of her children, and then return later for the other pairs. We are almost done when without and reason the sales lady informed my daughter that they don't measure feet and retrieve stock and try on shoes without expecting you to buy shoes from there. I was taken back and bothered at first but my daughter was just confused and promptly asked what she meant, she clumsily tried to explain that they don't go through all that for you to go somewhere else to buy your shoes. This made no sense!! The more she talked the more insulting the whole thing became. I left the store because I could no longer keep my mouth shut, but when my daughter ended up in the car in tears I just couldn't take it anymore so I am writing this review. This is NOT the way to conduct business, to jump to conclusions and then act on them to the point that you not only lose today's business but any future business from this customer as well as whom else will be put off by the attitude at this store. I have worked in retail and many years in shoes, NEVER is the expectation that this customer is obligated to make a purchase because you actually do your job! You work in a shoe store people will come in and get their feet measured and even try on shoes, and yes often they will purchase said shoes, but sometimes they don't. That is retail!!! To have the audacity to confront a customer and say such ridiculous statements to the point of insulting and embarrassing a customer is absolutely appalling!!!!! If you want to be insulted by all means this is the store to go to, if not I recommend to shop where you will be appreciated as a customer. !!!!

I just wanna say that Gretchen from Tots Around Town is amazing!…read moreI originally called and ordered some baby equipment that I needed for some family that was going to be staying at my home. When Gretchen delivered the items, she made sure everything was set up and safe . And came back for everything in the time frame that she had said.
