I put myself on the waitlist and they squeezed me in the next day. I asked for a deep tissue massage when I stepped into their treatment room, which I'm often met with a yikes, you sure? Except, Kathie went above and beyond to erase my pain. The adhesion pops she got out of my back and shoulders must've been just as satisfying for her as it was for me, but I don't know how she was able to find each little knot like that. I couldn't have asked for a better experience in all of the times I've gone to any clinic. I'm not big on fancy appearances and the glamor of an elite spa. Instead, I prefer businesses to invest in their people and clients. It was clean and comfortable to me. Anyway, Kathie seemed to have an immediate understanding of my condition without me having to get into it. I appreciated that more than I probably expressed. The atmosphere was relaxed as soon as I walked in. I also got an extra treat on my way out the door that I found surprisingly soothing. These people truly care. Thank you, I am grateful. Still feeling the reprieve from the pain as I sit here today. :)

She is always treated well, like family and has, in fact, become friends with many of the fine folk here. Years back I needed to find a place to get my hair cut, and local barbers were not cutting it (ok poor pun) and I have been coming ever since. I get a hair wash, a glass of wine, or coffee, and treated very well! Like family, certainly a good friend of the family. I now buy hair product from them as well! I should have written a review sooner - a good local business that you should frequent!

The Massage Therapist that helped me is Marilyn. I have have had a knots that's causing my shoulder muscles to pinch. I wanted a deep massage to get the knots out so I would not feel pain on my right shoulder. Marilyn worked through the massage and I have not felt the pinch in my shoulders since I've left and also I have a better range of motion on my right arm. My arm has been so tingly and sore for weeks but now I feel I will not have that problem anymore. I will definitely come back once more before I fly back home. I highly recommend this place! Marilyn also gave after care tips! Awesome massage and excellent service.

They create a profile when you arrive, offering "spa water" as I call it (water infused with cucumbers, yum!) as you complete the paper. Your profile serves for the staff to understand if you have any concerning areas you want particular attention paid to or if there are certain areas you do not wish to have massaged. They also ask the purpose of your massage, which I thought was pretty useful information. The building itself is awesome. It is a older house that has been decorated to feel like one is in a zen garden. Very cozy and peaceful and immediately helps one to relax. The massage tables are warmed, which is also a nice touch. Lisa, who was my massage therapist, was excellent! She focused on problem areas in my shoulders in lower back, but also noted that I must have been left handed given the knots in my forearm and worked those out too. She was very attentive to pressure and made sure that I was not in pain or discomfort. Given the fact that I had just been on a 10+ hour flight my body was very achy, but after my 45 minute session with Lisa, I felt amazing! It has been two days since my visit, and I still am feeling the benefits in my range of motion and muscles, particularly after a work out. My 45 minute session was $80, which includes tip. Given the comprehensive quality of my session this seems very reasonable. This is the best massage I have had in a very long time. I am already planning my return visit!

Even when there aren't many customers there, it still feels like a bustling, energetic place, which I love. It has a very high-end feel to it, which normally turns me off because I don't take my hair that seriously, but they are so far from snobby that I don't know what I was ever worried about. Every single person who works there is warm, welcoming, and friendly. I would go back there for an event that I needed hair or make-up done for. I might also go back someday for a regular haircut.
