The third member of our party ordered the shrimp and squid in cream, which she enjoyed. Then the staff got annoying when they tried to clear our plates away while we were still eating. We asked them to wait until we were all finished, but two minutes later we had to stop them again. They were literally trying to grab the plate in front of me while I was moving some of my wife's bandeja paisa to it. Finally, we asked for a takeout box, and they were hovering over the table waiting to clear it and actually started as I was loading the takeout box. Had someone simply approached us and politely asked us to move, we would have gladly done so. Instead, the cook continued making comments under his breath and staring at us while moving boxes. Once he finished, he walked past our table, gave me a dirty look, and called me a vulgar name in Spanish ( cara de mierda). At that point, I stood up and asked him, in Spanish, to repeat what he had said. Rather than addressing the situation, he immediately walked into the kitchen and refused to come back out. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable having my food prepared by someone who had just openly insulted me and my pregnant wife. We decided to leave without ordering.
