First time actually going there always ordered through DoorDash. Wish the weather was nicer we would've hung out longer. Pincho de cerdo fantastic, chicken I thought were dry. Great ambiance. Place was packed.

Seems like when you order grubhub you get cold dry food. IG videos look amazing. This.. not!

Food on IG looks amazing. But not what you get when you order grubhub delivery. Why would you serve dry pernil!!! Choked it down because I was hungry. Such a shame. Flavor was really good.

Awesome roasted pork (pernil) with white rice and red beans. Delicious!!

The food is delicious providing large portions and good variety. I travel to Edison, NJ for work and in both visits we've stopped in and enjoyed the food!

    Tripleta Sandwich

The food was delicious, we had a couple frituras, a Tripleta sandwich and a plate of yellow rice with chorizo and chicken. Very easy to find a seat and the service was quick and polite! Would recommend!

Torres Cafe never disappoints. I get lunch there often and also get catering a few times per year. The service is great, food is great, and pricing is reasonable to proportion. You can dine in or sit outside in the warmer months. If I could give a 10 star rating I would.

This hidden gem is dog-friendly, with outdoor seating at the counter, sidewalk tables, and a patio, perfect for dining with your pup. Owners Jamie and Nando are as welcoming as their food is delicious. Highlights from our tasting included slow-roasted pork, yellow rice with pigeon peas, vegan alcapurria, and both classic and Beyond Beef empanadas. The flavors were rich, authentic, with a growing vegan menu. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the menu is packed with must-try dishes. Open March-December, Wednesday-Sunday, 12-7 PM. While visiting Jersey I passed the amusement park several times but never noticed this restaurant…read more Can you say delicious? I sure can especially when I took the first bite of my perfectly spiced and cooked fried pork chop it was to die for. I ordered a side order of tostones, that were right out of the frying pan (I have to be honest I could have eaten 16 of them lol). Other parties in group ordered mofongo with shrimp and as a starter an Alcapurria from the appetizer menu and I am sorry I can't recall what the other item was she enjoyed them (she doesn't know how to share so I can't chime in on how it tasted. The shrimp in the mofongo was outstanding but the mofongo seemed to be lacking enough garlic to kick up the flavor that I know mofongo normally has. Pollo Guisado was also served, it was hearty, savory and the meat was very tender (surely enough food to make this two meals). There aren't many seats (two tables outside) and a small area to eat by the counter so be aware especially during warmer months that the availability to accommodate you for a sit down meal might be a challenge but I would eat in my car knowing that the meal is as good as it was. The staff were beyond friendly and efficient....everything was bought out to us in a very timely manner. If you like Spanish please give Mambo Nando's a try.

If you really think about it the Dominican food has taken over the Bx. I searched, and found this place. The moment you step in you are greeted with the warmest blessings. The 2 beautiful people that worked there made our time there so memorable. The food was out of this world let me tell you. Also, I will say it is AFFORDABLE. portion size was huge and the place was so CLEAN. Food: Pernil: 10/10 flavorful and tender Yellow (arroz con gandules) and Black rice with the beans: 10/10 both were good and couldn't even decide which one was better Pulpo 9/10 : fresh and tangy, cut into small pieces so you can top it on your rice Alcapurrias: 8/10 great and made differently then what I'm used to but it was sooo good I'd come again for this alone Juices: Ask them to try the juices and they will let you. We tried it all. Came home with passion fruit (parcha) and guyaba (guanabana) Delicious 10/10 It was so fresh and they don't add too much ice so you get all the juice taste. All in all I'm coming here from now on. A true BX staple for the community and a true essence of the Bori pride resides here. If you miss PR, come here.

Rice was the way I like it - soft, not too oily, flavorful. I will go back with my bf who was born and raised in PR to see what he thinks, but I'm already a fan. They also have a lot of variety so I plan on trying something new next time. The lady working there said that sometimes they make guanimes (some people call them guanimos) which I have never been able to find outside of PR. I hope I get to try them at this place. So glad I found this spot and recommend you all check it out.

I ordered the Kan-Kan--wow! My whole group was so happy with their meals. They abs loved it. I believe the owner even stopped by to see if we were ok, she was so sweet. For a group of this size, along with our many alcoholic beverages the bill was not bad--which made everything much more worth it. I'll def be back. This place is great for groups or date night.

Truth is how can you trust a person with your food that carries an attitude from the minute you walk in till you walkout. Throughout the entire service time she's just un attentive and rude. God forbid you ask her a question.. don't believe me go and see for yourself! Not good for business at all. This was my fourth time here first two times was great. Third time was a let's try it one more time maybe it was a bad day for her. Today was my fourth and last! Mind you she sat us down we mentioned it was cold she looked at my daughter and practically grilled her. Smh. I don't understand why work here then find another job this is food you're serving! She must be the owners son for sure! We waited exactly 20 minutes on the table before we decided to get up and leave. We walked out and there she was on the phone in front of the restaurant. We were never even asked what we wanted to drink for starters. I noticed she walked back in once we walked out. Smh not worth it! I rather eat at a local restaurant that serves Spanish food as well and guaranteed a smile at least on the waitress face.
