We went back today, because we thought we saw a lump on the other side this morning, they worked us in so she could be examined quickly. Again, he showed compassion and great bed side manner. And the staff is always friendly.

If you are a Veteran or a US Military Retiree who ignorantly assumes your VA insurance or Tricare…read morewill cover Emergency Room visits at this hospital, then I highly encourage your family members to take you to another Emergency Room - avoid Jack Hughston if you can! In March 2025, I fell off of a tree that collapsed onto my house and seriously injured my hip. I had a bulge sticking out of my hip about 6 inches and I could not put pressure on my left foot. The pain was horrible and my wife took me to this Emergency Room (as it was only 5 minutes from my house, very convenient). After multiple treatments for pain and xrays, the doctor told my wife and visiting church members that I either broke my hip or that my left leg came out of socket (due to the swelling and temporary disfigurement. Later, an MRI determined that I had a deep bone contusion. As we visited that Emergency Room in the past, paying no more than a Tricare covered co-pay, this hospital was always convenient - until I received a bill for $3,844.61. I informed Jack Hughston that I had both VA insurance and Tricare to cover the costs Jack Hughston then informed me that VA and Tricare covered their parts of the insurance and I still owed them $3,844.51. I informed my wife that, no matter how bad I am injured in the future, we will not go to this hospital (5 minutes from my home) ever again but, instead, drive to the Fort Benning Emergency Room (35 minutes away). Sincerely, Daniel M.Longstreet, Sr. Phenix City, AL

Dr. Goldman Sorry that we (my wife) and I never had the…read moreopportunity to meet you. My wife was supposed to do that Tuesday February 4, 2025. We had seen your PA the last visit and she set up some test for Phyllis. Tuesday was supposed to be the appointment with Dr Goldman. We arrived a few minutes early and started our wait. No other patients were in the waiting area. After a half hour had passed my wife spoke to the receptionist and asked if we had been forgotten. She made a phone call and shortly we were escorted to Exam room 12 and a one of your staff took some vitals on Phyllis. It was observed that he O2 was low and I then went to our vehicle and got her concentrator. Our wait continued, with no other personal coming into the room. I could hear chatter and laughter from outside the room the whole time. We again waited for well over a half hour when we both decided it was time to leave. As we were leaving one of your employees seemed to note that and asked if we were leaving, I responded that yes, we were as it felt as no one there was interested in seeing my wife. She then ASKED IF WE WANTED TO RESCHEDULE to which I responded why would we want to do all the waiting all over again. We then left your office very discouraged with how my wife was treated as if it did no matter how long you wait to see a specialist, the impression is your time doesn't matter. However, to us every minute is important and wasting time sitting in a doctor's office with no contact with anyone is a true waste of our time, which to us it very important. I see that you and your staff do not share that. On closing I would have expected someone from your office to reach out to my wife. But I guess that would have taken up too much of your staff's time as they seemed so busy when we left (that is sarcasm) as no one was doing anything except talking with one another. Respectfully, Robert Bessinger, Caretaker of Phyllis Bessinger

My frustration lies with the Auburn office and team because for two years of going to Phoenix City…read moreto be seen as Auburn resident the wife and I were happy when the Auburn office finally opened. These doctors are a bunch of narcissist and control freaks, they take a Hippocratic oath that says do no harm, but they do no better in treating you. They pump you full of pills not getting to the bottom of what's causing your symptoms they just prescribe you more pills each time you come in. I suffer from PTSD and for 3 years they continued me on Xanax because I needed it and just recently they abruptly ended it so in my opinion and defense I questioned their actions and expressed that taking me off the medication after 20 years of taking it would have potentially life threatening consequence. Weeks later they claimed in a letter that I never received they were discharging me from their care. Thumbs down the worst physicians don't go!!
