Mario has been taking care of our home for 11 years. Every year, dependably he comes by to take a look at everything around the house and under the house. He writes up a detailed report and sends it to us in a timely manner. Any time we have questions, he responds by telephone promptly and when necessary comes over to see. We had a slew of termites show up at our front door so I called a few places to come over and give us their opinion. Mario was recommended through a parent Facebook group that I am a member of. I do like Mario's professionalism, response time, and communication. His price was on the high side to perform tenting or we may have considered him more closely. One other thing I would have liked him to do is look around and under the home. He came in, measured and gave me an estimate for tenting. Other companies that came in looked in my attic and under my home to give me a really good picture of the potential damage and infestation, literally with pictures from their phones. Apparently we have subterranean termites too and of the 4 companies I called to give me estimates, only one found them and provided me with a picture of them. One company went under my home and told me we didn't have subterranean termites. Based on the pictures I saw we have a lot that we need to address. read more

Mario and his team did a fantastic job with our fumigation project. Prior to starting the project, we had been e-mailing back and forth for a month or two. He was polite, knowledgable and transparent. Our situation was unique because it was a condo (4 to be exact) with 2 of the neighbors not interested in tent fumigation. Mario was very knowledgable about the gas pipes (meters /headers) and suggested 3 options, one of which ended up being the decision that we went with. Everything went according to plan. Literally a flawless experience with Elite1. I had previously called a more well-known competitor and almost went with them, but at the last minute had some suspicions about them so decided to call around. Of all the termite people I called, Mario was the easiest to get a hold of, easiest to talk to, gave me easy-to-understand information, and was at my house by the next day to do an inspection. His inspection was 100x more thorough than the competitor's and it was very clear very quickly that Mario was legit and knew exactly what he was talking about. I went with them and the communication for the entire time- inspection, scheduling, tent coordinating, visits, etc.- was flawless (which is hard to get these days). Mario was friendly and thorough every time he came over, I asked a million questions and he never seemed to be in a rush to get out, and I really can't get over how easy the coordination was with them. I never had to think about a certain thing because they were on top of it all. The guys who did the actual tenting- same thing. Easy to communicate, on-time, and easy to coordinate with. Mario showed up on time and explained a few things that I wasn't aware about house tenting business. Very useful information. Mario is great! He gave us a fair price and went out of his way to work with my budget and tight time frame. We purchased our home in Valley Village and had a crazy situation with the realtor and the previous home owner, but we had to get the house tented before we moved in. Beware if you have terra cotta shingles! My house has Terra cotta shingles and many were broken. He makes you sign a document that he's not liable . Well, when first rains came we had terrible leaks. He didn't tells us about broken tiles!! Our tenants called and water was leaking in the middle of their bed! I called him twice left a desperate message and asked if he knew a roofer to help us and he never bothered to even call back to say he didn't know any. We've had other companies will at least give you recomendaciones who to call. Bad Customer service! read more

I found Elite1 through the Handyman web site and I chose them because of their great reviews. I immediately got a call from Mario and he set up a 2 hour window to give me an estimate. He was right on time! He found my termite problem was not as bad as I thought and gave me a reasonable estimate for spot treatment. He came back the following day and fixed the area that needed treatment. However before leaving he found another location that neither he nor I could see initially because of the location. To follow up on Mario's response to my negative review: You returned 1 phone call after I left 2 messages, and communicated the one thing I requested through 1 curt email. The only thing I asked for were the names of the individuals involved in setting up and breaking down the tent, and for your patience while the investigations continued. You provided the names, but in regards to your patience, it apparently was short lived as you tried to assess a late fee on my bill!! The facts as stated still remain accurate. The fact that your team left before I got home, like the burglary was no big deal, really left a bad impression. In regards to the windows chosen to leave open, you have not commented on why there was no plan put in place or assessment of which windows to leave open. You never walked through the house to figure that out, so I'm quite certain that your team wasn't given any such plan. You were not onsite for the tenting so you couldn't give any guidance on the day of either. Hopefully I won't need another tenting, but knowing what I know now, I will definitely make sure that the company understands how to assess vulnerabilities in my particular house and reduce the risk of burglary, which you absolutely did not do. read more

I'm trying to sell my home and was feeling like the termite company that did our inspection and gave the recommendation to fumigate was being too excessive. I called Elite1 Termite to get a 2nd opinion. He took the time to talk to me about potential issues dealing with not fumigating and was NOT trying to sell his own company. I told him what they were going to charge to fumigate and he told me that the price they were quoting was actually very reasonable. Again, he didn't even try to sell his own services.
