I have been diving for many years but lost my card. I decided to take a full class again as a refresher since its been a while since my last dive. Elite Scuba and our instructor Rob, were great! Rob is a very passionate cave diver so very safety conscience, which I appreciated. He spent a lot of time with only two students and was obviously very invested in making sure we understood the risks, were prepared for and could handle any emergencies, and were comfortable and capable divers by the end of the course. More than 5 stars scuba shop! Highly Skilled diving trainers, quality gear and friendly staff! I just got my open water diver license with Master diver Ron. I truly enjoyed all training process with Ron. He is very helpful, calm, patient, highly skill and a lot of knowledge. I spend 2 days in the pool training and we went to de Leon spring and Rainbow River for final dive. It was amazing experience. Especially at Rainbow river, the water was very clear. Astonished! To diving, you need a dive buddy. I couldn't be happier I had a wonderful instructor Ron with me. I highly recommended this scuba shop. read more

First I want to say scuba diving I feel is a serious undertaking. Choosing a quality dive center is critical for your safety as well as those around you. Elite scuba focuses on just that as well as keeping the underwater environment secure for generations to come. From the moment I walked in the door being greeted by JT and Will to the last dive with Ron my awesome instructor from Liverpool for my open water cert, all was amazing. I feel to them it's not about how many students they certify. To them it's maintaining a safe environment for all who wish to go under the surface of the water. I explained vaguely what I was looking for - booties to cushion my hard plastic "flippers" (dope slapping myself. He had exactly what we were looking for, filled us in on local snorkeling spots (we're new to the area) and talked about his classes. I can't say enough great things about the team at Elite Scuba. I started my open water certification in Pennsylvania - completed my exams and coursework there - but wanted to tackle my open water dives somewhere warmer. When searching for a referral location, I reached out to a few dive shops in the Daytona Beach area. Will Smith at Elite was the most responsive, helpful, and hospitable, and made the process incredibly easy. When getting certified with Elite Scuba, you train in smaller groups which gets you a really ideal instructor-to-trainee ratio. I worked with Will Smith and Justin Gibbs on my four open water dives in De Leon Springs and Devil's Den, and really just had the best experience. They're very knowledgeable, suited me up with great equipment, and made the process even more fun than I expected. I highly recommend this shop! I would give 6 stars if I could! I just got my open water diver license with Will and Ron from Elite Scuba. They are absolutely awesome, and I really enjoyed the process! I am not a Florida resident, but I for sure will come back here for my advanced level licenses! The store itself is not big, by it is clean, tidy and organized, with a cute aquarium. All the gears are included in the training (no extra rental needed, including the mask and fins), and all the gears are high quality and are in great condition. My instructors Will and Ron were nice, patient, funny, and most of all: highly skilled. They truly attend to details, and shared many insightful information regards the training. Like most people, I have had panic attacks while I did my first deep dive, however both Will and Ron were there to calm me down and got me through the process. By the time I got finished with all the skill trainings, I conquered all the panic and fear, and started to truly enjoying the dive. Also, one wall of the shop was full of the instructors' licenses and certificates, you can also get high level training here with them. I called several other diving facilities around this area before I decided on Elite Scuba. Their rates are much more reasonable comparing to the rest of them. It is hard to understand why there aren't many reviews yet for such a great diving store/facility. Highly recommend! read more
