When it was time to pick our flooring, my husband and I went looking for a floor in our given price range. We went to Home Depot and Floor and Decor and picked out flooring that we liked. Alexis kept telling us that she had a place for us to pick out flooring and kept avoiding talking about flooring we like from other companies. Since we were into the project for approximately 8 months already due to COVID, we decided to go with her contact. We wound up picking a floor with their contact, but we're concerned about how thin the flooring was since it was going over tile that was under our original pergo We were told not to worry about it and that they would make sure that everything was done right. About a month after install, the floor started buckling. We callEd All Island to ask Jay, the owner to come take a look at the floor. He said it would cost us $7,000 to redo the floor. We explained that we had reservations about putting this thin floor in, given our circumstances and that Alexis assured us that it would be fine and they'd take care of it. Jay told us flat out that he would replace it for another $7,000. Since then the floor has been separating in many places and even sticking up. We cut our feet on it and my husband had to tape it down. Since we only looked at samples and don't know the company they got this floor from, we have no warranty on it and have to redo the entire floor ( in four rooms of my home) costing us $9,000 more only four years later. The reason we waited these few years was because we knew it was going to cost a lot to redo this floor. Now we are in the process of getting it done right at a big cost. Home Depot professions said they don't even sell less than 8mm thick flooring, but All Island installed 5mm even after our concerns. I have many pictures of this disaster. When Jay visited us, he went around our kitchen kicking the planks to close up multiple gaps. The flooring was a big part of this disaster, but there is way more that happened with the crew that was working on our project. Paint splatter on our brand new windows and screens, holes left in corners of the room, kitchen cabinet handles screwed in crooked, grout started falling out of the backsplash tiles, and I could go on. Wish they would have done right by us.

I hired this company for emergency fire damage restoration and would urge anyone considering them…read moreto get a detailed, written quote first -- they would not provide one upfront. Response times were a serious problem throughout: it took many hours to secure the property after the fire and several days to send someone for the damage evaluation. Every subsequent step moved at the same, painfully slow pace. When they did secure the property, they used a different code/method than what they'd told us, and changed it without notifying us -- leaving us in the dark about how our own property was protected. The billing was the most troubling part. We were never given an upfront quote, and they did not disclose that they would be charging $35/hour per man for unskilled labor. For four men on site one day, that math comes out to roughly $1,100. The invoice we received was $5,000. I followed up directly with the company about these issues numerous times before posting this review. Their response was to call my concerns "uneducated" rather than address the pricing discrepancy or the unauthorized change to how our property was secured. If you're dealing with fire or water damage: get competing quotes in writing, and go with someone else.

As new homeowners, my husband and I really didn't know what to look for when actually LOOKING at insulation before buying our house - and boy, did we pay for it this (our 1st) winter. Regular insulation was used under our home and what we now see is a lot of it looks old, some newly added by the previous homeowner, and some downright decrepit. With the freezing blowing wind (or who are you kidding, even wind at 50 degrees) coming from under our home, our 1st floor was freezing. The drafts coming in from all angles was absolutely insane, and I worried about my poor little puppy as he slept in his crate on that very cold floor (we kept him warm of course). That said, we were referred to Rocket and, just after a handful of hours, I can already feel a difference in our home. On top of that, they were beyond professional, courteous, cleaned up every inch of any mess they made - and worked quickly and efficiently. I can't wait to now do my attic as well! We also worked with Mary Anne beforehand who came to measure our home and give us a quote - she's been so easy to work with, always answering any of my questions quickly, and just all in all if you want a good (great) company for your insulation needs (or waterproofing - or anything else they do) I would absolutely recommend Rocket. I don't know them personally, I'm just that pleased. Thank you Mary Anne and Rocket!!

I worked closely with Dan and Freddie and both kept me informed. Only downside was the level of pressure and urgency they put in the begginning; it almost felt like a "do it now or else" mentality that you get in info-commericals or scams. This portion made me hestiate on some decisions as I was unclear/uncomfortable on what's covered vs what I would have to pay for out of pocket. Apart from this one issue, I would highly recommed this firm and work with them anyday. I am guessing they charge a lot but if it's through your insurance company, don't blink and go with their judgment :D

I gave my deposit and then was called several weeks later and said they could not do the job for that amount due to the rise in prices during COVID. The prices had already gone up when I was given the estimate, so I didn't understand why the sudden change. I think they realized that the estimate was on the low side. They will be sending me back my deposit, putting it in the mail tomorrow morning. I just don't think this is good business. And even if they came back and said they would do the job for the original estimate I still would not go with this company. All comments are welcome. Eddie the guy that gave me the estimate called me this morning and apologized for the mistake. Due to the COVID issues, which is like Eddie said is no ones fault everything has gone up tremendously. Even though I have never had work done by this company, I am giving it 5 stars for the Honesty. Another reason why I changed my star rating was because of customer service on the part of Eddie. It was very nice for him to take the time out to call me, and that did mean a lot. I'm just disappointed because at this point I have to put my work off till the spring.
