I drove 30 minutes through bridge traffic for my daughter's scheduled appointment, only to be greeted by an unfriendly front-desk employee whose demeanor immediately made me feel like she was bothered by my presence. She told me my daughter's referral couldn't be used and cancelled her appointment without even verifying the information. I called Highbar and was initially told her referral was still valid. The representative put me on hold for over 10 minutes while trying to contact the Providence office. She came back saying she couldn't reach anyone, but then changed what she originally told me and said I needed to contact my insurance about getting a new referral. I called my insurance, and they confirmed the referral was valid, just as Highbar had originally told me when the appointment was made. I tried calling Highbar back three times with no answer. When I finally called Providence directly, suddenly the same employee who had turned us away said she could reschedule my daughter using the exact same referral. Beyond the misinformation, her demeanor toward me was dismissive and condescending, and the interaction genuinely left me feeling discriminated against. I told her this directly on the phone, and she apologized multiple times. What makes this more concerning is reading other reviews. Another patient reported being given incorrect insurance information by this location, and another reviewer described an experience they also perceived as discriminatory. I considered contacting corporate or management, but seeing similar complaints from years ago that resemble what I experienced today does not give me much confidence that these concerns are being addressed. Patients shouldn't lose appointments because staff provide incorrect information, nor should anyone leave a healthcare facility feeling discriminated against. Highbar needs to address the training and treatment of patients at this location

Sue and Haley and Natasha and Jean are just absolutely incredible people (and that's just who I met. I have had a lot of physical therapists in my life and this is where you want to be. They're personable and KNIGHTVILLE (yello) and they're talkative and they make you want to write them a Christmas card and bring them flowers from your garden. Highly suggest getting a referral to this practice. Not only do they make you feel at home, they actually fix your problem or feel like someone cares enough to help.

She really listened to my concerns about my lower back issues and gave me some great recommendations for stretches and exercises I could do in order for my issue to improve. I made some tremendous progress with Rachel's help and feel like I can manifest my own destiny again. The facilities are all very clean and they do more than just "give you" exercises and stretches to do. They make sure that you're doing them correctly and checked for tightness in my back. They always got me in the office on time and serviced me within a reasonable timespan as well. PT can be a very challenging experience, since they're making you "work through" your pain, but Rachel and her team were so down-to-earth that it really didn't feel like work. I would not recommend her due to her bedside manner being really poor. she was extremely unprofessional. when I attend PT I like a person that sticks to the program while you're there. you are the one paying for your time there. by the time the session was over I knew far too much about this person. She was beyond eager to discuss herself any moment she got. I was trying to explain why I was there and she cut me off multiple times to tell me about herself. Why was I there , to be her psychiatrist? I am now seeing an extremely professional physical therapist that has me at almost full recovery today . I am happy I decided to no longer go to this place & deal with the nonsense. Im sure there are other therapist at this location that do their job. Maybe I just got a lemon.

They explain what they are about to do and really give you time to relax during your exercises. Even when they get busy, they still make you feel so good- almost a "spa" like experience. The place is clean, warm, bright, and comfy. They are very knowledgeable and professional. I really look forward to going to therapy and feel uplifted when I leave. The staff really helps people feel better, not just physically, but emotionally as well. I would definitely continue to recommend Pappas in North Prov for PT/Rehab!
