I was looking for a shop for my 1985 Corolla GTS and found Gary and his team in Burlingame. They have a lot of experience with setting up cars for the track and I needed some suspension and brake bits installed. I emailed Gary and received a response within a few hours. I dropped off the car with a short list of projects for him to take care of. He asked what my timeframe was with the car. Luckily it is not my daily driver so I said take your time. Within a week, I received emails with some pictures and updates on how the progress was going. They are not normally open on Saturdays, but I asked to pick the car up and he said it was fine. I picked up the car and everything I asked was completed. They also went above and beyond in making sure it was done correctly and fixed anything that they saw needed to be repaired. The quote he gave me was the exact price I paid, even with some extra work. They even did a full alignment without me asking. I left there with the car better than ever....except now the temp gauge wasn't working. I turned around immediately and told Gary. He came out, popped the hood, found a 30 year old wire that was broken during the service and went back to the shop. 5 min later, with a crimp, wire strippers, tools, heatshrink and a butane torch....he fixed the wiring for the temp sensor! Gary and his team do great work and I will definitely be going back to this shop for any of my Corolla or my other cars' needs. The shop is clean, Gary is friendly and responds quickly. took my car in this morning for alignment and corner balance. i show up with the car not how they wanted it to be but they was ok with it and still did the work putting on my other set of wheels and by the end of the day had my original wheels back on before i leave. i didnt know the girls name that worked on my car but her customer service was excellent. i wanted feedback for my ride height and hopefully have it a little higher for my wheels to avoid rubbing but gary was a little busy on his end and it slipped my mind too. i will be coming back and i believe its best to communicate with the person working on your car so everyone can be on the same page. read more

I booked the appointment with this guys to do the wheel alignment on my car. I had to wait 4 business days until i can come and do the service. I showed up in time on my appointment and the car service worker said I had to wait about half an hour more until they would be able to let me in. There were no apologies at all! I don`t understand what is the reason of planning the appointment 4 days ahead and come and wait in front of the car service half an hour more?! I even couldn`t get and seat inside the office because they closed it due to corona virus. I refused to wait more and went to the nearest alignment shop. I was able to get service done at the same day at the other shop after I just waited in line only about 10-15 minutes! read more

I have serviced my cars here quite a few times. Most of the boys in the shops are pretty cool and are very knowledgeable about cars and performance. If you want certain things done right, you have to seek for the car enthusiast, and car enthusiast they are! I've seen lots of nice cars at Elite Performance; Labos, McLaren, GTRs. But the coolest car I've seen is a tiny vintage white 1972 Honda Z600. Pure beauty! The owner is a super cool cat as well. read more

I bought some tires on TireRack dot com and had them shipped here. Contacted the shop by phone to confirm they were there and made an appointment. On the day of the appointment, I came by the shop, met Gary, and had them mounted to my BMW X-5 for a very reasonable price, which was previously shown on the TireRack website Installer page. The work was good (no alignment required, no vibration at high speed) and I was in and out in about 1.5 hours. I saved about $500 over the prior set of tires and got higher quality tires as well. Couldn't be happier. I will use these guys again! read more

These guys are passionate about cars and found and fixed my supercharged FRS! They have a good background in tuning forced induction FRS so solving the electrical short in my car was easy for them. Saw many other Japanese cars that were modded and getting tuned while I was there so looks like they have a very strong fan base. read more

I called today to make an appointment for my Mazda3 to get new tires installed and an alignment. They were able to squeeze me in same day and finished in the timeframe they quoted when I dropped off my car. Everyone was nice and friendly even though I was having pretty basic service and I don't have a fancy car or anything. Prices were super reasonable and service was great. They also have two cute dogs at the shop; that's a bonus for me! I would definitely come back. read more

I was recommended by many friends to visit this shop for my alignment and I am very glad I did. I needed to have custom specs setup up on my Lexus and this is one of the few shops in the peninsula that was able accommodate my request. The team at this shop did this at a price that was marginally more expensive than the typical shop, but those shops tend to just get the alignment settings within manufacturers tolerances with no care for L/R balance. I expected no less especially with the quality of cars I saw being serviced inside the garage. Probably the biggest plus I observed was that they had the cleanest bathroom I've ever seen at an auto shop. I will definitely go back to Elite Performance for any future tuning and maintenance needs! read more

Had a great experience here. They installed some headers on my IS-F, and when the catback exhaust I bought was having issues they looked at it and did some grinding work to make it sit flush. Then, when I put on another exhaust they put it on the rack to diagnose some other noise issues I had. Again, no questions asked and no charge when they didn't cause the problems. Took my BRZ here after I installed a Vortech supercharger and other different performance parts and the guys do a great job here. Their tuner really knows his stuff very well and actually goes over the car with you and if he performance parts were installed properly and what wasn't. Hands down, best customer service for a non-customer by Eric, the tuner. Took my car into get it custom dyno/tuned, but was informed by Eric that the dyno was broken. In hopes of still getting it done by him, I left all my tuning software with him. Eric gave me his personal number to give me updates on them fixing the dyno. While I probably bugged him quiet often, he never complained. Because of my tight schedule, I decided i needed to go somewhere else to get my car tuned. However, all my tuning software was still at their place and I live in the South Bay. Eric, personally offered to deliver it to my house. He even threw in an $20 for "wasting my time." He's a real stand up guy, and just wanted to share my experience with Yelp even if they did never work on my car. Just goes to show you how well they take car of their "non-customers." I've been here at least three times to install front/rear roll center adjusters, toe arms, rigid collars, a radiator, and do 2 alignments for my S2000. Nothing has fallen off or exploded yet after several track days. For the alignments, I just asked them to give me an alignment that would be suitable for track days (what the hell do I know about camber, toe, and caster?) and now the car corners super hard and is way easier to catch when the car starts rotating. I really like that the price of labor here is cheap compared to other shops. If you live in the peninsula, you really need to take your S2000 here. read more
