This is a text that I recently sent to David, the representative that we dealt with in the purchase of a shed at Elite Outdoor Structures in Langhorne PA which he delivered before the winter last year:
"...We returned from our business abroad. Just as an update, we are paying a contractor for a new ramp which we will receive in a week. The ramp that you gave us was too narrow, sloped too deeply and was so slippery that is unsafe for riding my zero-turn lawnmower. The specs that we gave you for the exterior vinyl was an oatmeal color. You delivered a shed to us that was clearly yellow. Given that the colors are a stark contrast to the house and colors in our neighborhood, we need to decide whether to repaint it or re-do the siding to a color that is a better fit. We waited a long time to receive the shed that we desperately needed for storage. Not sure why we paid a high price for this shed and the result was so bad."
I will add that in conversations with David, who visited our property, we discussed the slopes. David never ordered the ramp which was a foot above a slope even though they built the platform that it rests on. As I mentioned in text, which he never replied, we were very desperate for the space which was needed to store our riding lawnmower since winter was approaching and we needed to prepare for a long trip overseas.
After my complaints, he decided to throw in a ramp from his job site. The ramp was installed without our inspection, and I assumed that was temporary until we received a proper ramp. That did not happen.
Now we are paying for a safer ramp from another contractor and are deciding to change the external color of the vinyl from its current yellow color (listed as beige on the price quote; we had requested that it be oatmeal).
