I have been a loyal customer of this salon for well over 20 years. I have always tried to be generous, understanding, and respectful of the technicians' time, energy, and work. I consistently tip well -- usually anywhere from $7 to $20 depending on services and timing -- because I understand how demanding the industry can be. Unfortunately, my experience this past Friday left me feeling very disappointed and taken advantage of. I received a fill and only had my toenails polished -- not a pedicure -- and was charged $100. On top of that, I still gave a $20 tip because the salon was getting busy and I wanted to remain considerate. However, the quality of the work did not reflect the price charged. There was visible gem glue left all over my nails, and the overall finish was not at the standard I would expect for that cost. My toenail polish application was also very messy, uneven, and below the level of quality I would reasonably expect for the amount charged. For reference, I only had small gems placed on one accent nail on each hand and pre-made flower decorations on two nails per hand. I also requested a simple red undercoat inside the nail set and was told no for reasons unknown to me. There was no clear explanation provided. What has become increasingly frustrating over the last 6 months is the inconsistency in both pricing and service quality. I have been charged consistently around $100 in the past for an entirely new set with toe polish included (not a pedicure), and I feel that is fair considering the labor and time involved. However, this visit was only a fill with simple toe polish, yet I was charged the same amount despite the lower level of service and significantly lower quality of work. Other recent visits for similar services have ranged from: * $50 for a fill * $60 for a fill * $65 for a fill with gems * $65 for a fill and toe polish Then suddenly this visit was $100 for essentially the same level of service. At this point, the inconsistency makes it difficult to feel comfortable or confident returning because I never know what I will be charged. More importantly, I no longer feel valued as a long-time customer. The main reason I have continued coming back is because of Theresa, who has always been warm, professional, and consistently excellent at what she does. There is also Helan, who does both lashes and nails, whose work is consistently very good as well. Additionally, the technician who is missing a fingernail has also always been consistent with her work and professionalism. These are clearly the technicians customers try to book with regularly, and they are often fully booked. Unfortunately, outside of those few individuals, the quality has become extremely inconsistent and, at times, feels rushed, amateur, and below professional standards. I also cannot ignore the feeling that my loyalty, kindness, and generosity were knowingly taken advantage of in this situation. I am known for tipping well, being patient, and trying to be understanding, even during busy times. Over time, there have been small upcharges here and there that I chose to overlook because I valued the relationship and wanted to continue supporting the salon. However, this time it felt taken far beyond reasonable, especially considering the quality of the work I received. What makes this especially upsetting is that I genuinely did not want to have to write a review like this after over 20 years. I feel sad, disappointed, and honestly somewhat betrayed as a long-time loyal customer. I have given many chances over the years hoping the inconsistency and declining standards would improve, but instead it has progressively become worse. At this point, I simply cannot continue accepting the disappointment and feeling that my loyalty is only valued when it benefits others financially. I do not mind paying for quality work, and I believe technicians deserve to be compensated fairly. But customers also deserve consistency, transparency, accountability, and work that matches the price being charged. I went in for a full set and pedicure. They accommodated me by doing both. They didn't give me any type of pedicure options, but kept adding services on without telling me any price even after I asked. I got nicked a few times on my cuticles of my toes. The full set is still bumpy after all the filing it's already lifting at the cuticles. She packed it too much and didn't move it out so it's already catching my hair. I got it done 24 hours ago. On my pointer finger she left the cuticle in the triangle shape and it cut me when she tried to file it down. I did ask her to stop but she kept going and now I wasted $110 on ugly nails at an unhygienic spot. read more

This establishment has successfully given me the worst manicure of my life, and i have had a few botched sessions in my past. After sitting for almost two hours for a FILL, the woman removed every nail I had on prior using a painful scraper, making me bleed in several areas, pried off nails that were not at all close to falling off, and left bits and pieces of the old nails to use as her base for the new nails. NONE of the nails are the same size, and the only thing i asked for when coming in was uniformity and SQUARE nails. I am not sure what the shape so ended up with is, but as you can see in the pictures the nail polish is applied in large amounts causing surface bubbles, yet she only applied one coat so the entire set is see through to my real nails. After all of this, they charged me $45 dollars. I wish i had waited one more day and gone to my usual establishment because I would've left with a set that i was happy with for half the price. We called since we had appointments and there was another lady outside stating she had an appointment as well... We sat down and they started on our pedicures but I was never given a choice of what "type" of pedi I wanted, only polish choice. When I got my bill for two pedicures, it was $95. I about fell off my chair! I've had some pretty amazing pedicures, I get them often. I've never, ever paid more than 35$. I figured they needed the money so I added tip on top of that. I decided to get my lashes done here for my birthday trip spur of the moment. I am giving two stars because they did accommodate me last minute and initially they looked pretty. They began falling off after a couple days and after a week they were half gone. I asked beforehand if they were cluster or individual lashes and was told the latter. $80 is a great deal for individuals that last three weeks as I was told they were, BUT clusters that last a week should not cost that much! I called to see how they would rectify the situation and was told it was my fault for not taking care of them properly. I am a licensed esthetician and that is definitely not the case. I asked for a partial refund and for the remaining few lashes left to be removed by them and they refused to do anything. She actually told me they would charge me $15 just to remove them! read more

The tech raced through everything, so not only couldn't I relax, but she wasn't doing her job well. Dropping stuff on the floor and picking it up to re-use, not taking any time to be the least bit sociable. Nothing special about either service - and I was charged more than I have EVER paid for a mani/pedi anywhere. Yikes!! It seemed fairly clear to me that clients were being charged for reasons other than set prices. The most annoying thing is that when I got home I noticed that the gel polish on one of my toes is messed up...the result of the tech rushing and skipping steps. Just had the worst experience at elite nails. They charged me 90$ for a fill on a basic pedicure and a very small fill on less than a week old nails. They had no prices posted. When I asked for it they walked away and thought I forgot, I seen the owner grab a sheet from one of the stations and try to write something over it. I walked over and asked if those were the prices, she said no, the prices aren't posted because they're remodeling. I was there a week ago.. they lady then took that sheet to the back. I looked over at were she grabbed it from, and they had another laying there, I asked another lady to hand it to me and she did. The prices were way off. I'm fairly new to Woodland and was looking for a nail salon in town Elite Nails is down the street from my home so I thought I'd give him a try. I should have been suspicious when there was no wait time. I was immediately seated and as I was trying to explain how I want my nails done I was cut short and basically just said okay and got something I really didn't even want it must have been because they couldn't do what I wanted and didn't want to tell me the man was kind of rough grabbing my hand and pulling it from side to side but again I thought well maybe that's just his style I paid more than I've ever paid to have them done before then again I thought well it's worth it's right down the street and it was in a timely manner I get home as I'm looking I'm noticing that they're pitted the Polish isn't even all the way to the nail bed they're rough on the bottom to where a kid scratch you and again I thought well lesson learned I just won't go back the next day my gel nail broke three of them I've never had gel nails break before so today I went back in and decided I should get what I paid for show the my nail and ask them to fix it again I was quickly set in the sea another nail technician I guess we'll call them comes over sets me at a table and proceeded to tell me how much is going to be to have my nails fixed I said wait a minute you're going to charge me to fix the nails I just had them done 2 days you broke them explaned I've never broken in gel nail before and she said no you broke it and you should not use gel I'll use powder at that point I excused myself again take it for a loss and ran out that door if I was you I wouldn't set foot in there I never will again read more
