It used to be better. I was kind of grossed out last month when I went. A girl name Winnie did my nails and the towel that my hands were resting on was dirty. She took out another towel when I complained and that one still had nail clippings on it. She finally found a different towel and we started the gel manicure. She did a good job or so I thought. About two days later the polish started peeling off. I've never had that happen before. I should've went back to had it fixed but didn't have time. This last time that I went I had Michael. He did a nice job. I usually use Vicky but she hasn't been there the last couple of times that I've went. Do yourself a favor and do not get your eyebrows done here. Mine were waxed a bit on the thinner side. I'm blonde and don't have dark or thick brows to begin with so I wasn't happy. They've done a nice job with my pedicures. You gotta love a vibrating chair! I wouldn't even give this place 1 star! Against my better judgement, I gave them another chance after one technician was very rough. So I gave someone else a shot at giving me a pedicure. HUGE MISTAKE! For reasons I cannot even begin to understand, she clipped the side of my toenail, detaching it from my toe. I yelped in pain and asked her not to do that anymore. It's been over a month and I am in constant pain because the edge of the toenail keeps digging into my skin when I walk. Why the F would you detach the side of the nail?? HORRIBLE place!! read more

Dirty and unkempt. The bald head man who did my daughter's nails lacked any customer service skills. She waited 20 mins soaking her feet. They didn't give her the nail color book to review while wasting 20 mins. After she went to dry her nails, she was ignored. No one helped with bringing back her own shoes nor cell phone left on the table where the technician was still sitting. When I asked to speak to the manager, a lot of hesitation to come forward. But at this point it is useless to complain. We will never return. When ready to pay. We were ignored again! Could have walked out without payment.. wow. The small tip not worth giving . So full disclosure, I did not get my nails done here. The needed to be waxed before the weekend and my usual spot was booked so I tried Elite. I got my eyebrows and arms waxed. The girl was very sweet but she didn't do the best job shaping my eyebrows. They just look kind of weird. And uneven. But the two stars is for the price! $70 for an arm wax and eyebrows. Way too high. Most places charge approximately $10-$15 for eyebrow wax, and about $40-$50 for (full) arms. And the higher of those prices are typically for high end salons, which this is not. I Haven't been able to find a nail salon that even files my nails evenly let alone has me leaving completely satisfied. But came here off a recommendation and was very pleased. Linda did my nails and she was great. I had just gotten a fill in a week and a half before and 3 nails had already broke. I went in to have my nails repaired, reshaped, and just do a color change and I was extremely happy when I left. She really took her time and made sure to ask me multiple times if I was okay with the length, shape, color, etc. u also love the color I got I haven't seen it before in other salons. They rush you completely, their selection of colors are died out and outdated, they don't listen to what you ask as a customer. They disregarded how I wanted it done, they charged me an extra $10 to have a "thicker line". When I asked for a manicure I didn't want half of the nail to be white. Overall, they are scam artists. The first time I went to this salon I made a appointment and specifically asked for a person that knows how to do marble nails (they were for prom) I get there and they say that she didn't have the materials to do it. So then why did the lady in the phone tell me that someone knows how to? I also asked for acrylic and she gave me polygel which burned my nail bed. I get my nails done Anyways. I then go back to get a color change 2 weeks later to get the green French tip removed and get white. I made a appointment for 10:45. I sit and wait for 10 minutes knowing that they were a little busy and I'm willing to wait thinking that when someone is free I would be next. Nope. They now take 2 people that came in AFTER me 20 minutes later. And I walked out after waiting 45 minutes after my appointment time. Moral of the story don't come here, they also don't have their prices listed on a wall. They make you wait very long after you booked a appointment for a certain time. I came here on a recommendation from someone, and it was my first and last time unfortunately. Her usual girl (Hannah) wasn't going to be in, so I booked an appointment with Nancy. I arrived a few minutes before my 6p appointment, and was sitting in the pedicure chair until 6:30p when Nancy finally finished another client. I was already really annoyed but decided to let it go as I was leaving for a wedding the next day and had no other choice. I expressed to her how careful I wanted her to be when cutting my cuticles because I am 7 months pregnant and can't afford to get an infection. Halfway through my pedicure, a walk in came in with a few tips that needed fixing. Nancy literally stopped my pedicure 3 separate times to go fix this girls nails, which was pretty unbelievable after I had already waited a half hour after my appointment time. When I said are you sure you're going to finish my mani/pedi before you close (7:30p) she said of course. I should have known then to leave because she was going to rush through and butcher my manicure. I didn't though, and proceeded to receive the worst gel manicure I have ever gotten in my life. After expressing my concerns about cuticle cutting, I was cut to the point of bleeding on 5 of my fingers. When I pointed it out Nancy LAUGHED and said "oops sorry". Besides cutting half my fingers, the polish was old and bubbled in places, the polish was put on poorly, and I have never seen such a messy looking final product when getting gel. It was so messy around my cuticles I have never experienced this with gel in a salon in my life. I was literally in pain from the cuts on my fingers and had to travel for a wedding in that condition, on top of being 7 months pregnant. I am so incredibly disappointed in lack of professionalism at this location and cannot believe how badly Nancy butchered my hands. Even when I pointed out where she cut me she didn't seem to take it seriously. I have never been cut on so many fingers to the point of bleeding. Really hoping I don't get an infection because that's quite literally the last thing I need right now. I will never ever be back. The people who work there are always miserable and barely acknowledge you. I had an appt for a gel manicure and pedicure. I arrived about 15 mins early and they took me which was awesome! Usually a gel pedicure lasts like 20 mins between, prepping the nails, scrubbing, massage and what not. I didn't get the scrubby at all, he rushed it so much I think I was done in 10 mins from start to finish, so I was a little disappointe...then I got my gel manicure done. Same thing, felt super rushed and was done within 10/15 mins. All around I was in and out within like 30 mins fir a gel mani and gel pedi. By far my favorite place for a pedicure. I can appreciate that they take their time and make sure my feet and pretty and smooth! I have had numerous gel manicures here as well. I have tried on 2 occasions to get a cute pinterest worthy design and it has not ended well. Each time I have provided a picture. The first was a chevron stripe on one nail, it ended up looking more like Charlie Brown's t-shirt. The second was a simple French type design with a Christmas tree and the woman doing my nails insisted I wanted red with a snowflake. In order to avoid the Charlie Brown t-shirt disaster I just agreed that the red and snowflake would be fine. It ended up looking okay, but it was not at all what I wanted. The five stars is for Kelly because she is hands-down the best technician. I have had countless manicures in my life at countless salons but was never so impressed with the job so as to become a loyal regular customer. However, that all changed on my first visit at Elite when I had Kelly as a technician. I think this loyalty is best illustrated by the fact that I come home from New York (I am from Fair Haven but currently live and work in new York City) every 2-3 weeks just to get my nails done by her. And further, there is a nail salon on almost every block in the city (and one thing that might cost less in the city than elsewhere). I am very finicky about my nails and often times I feel like no matter how many times I tell a person how I want them filed or something done a certain way, they ultimately just do it the way they want. Kelly actually listens and remembers your preferences each time you come back. She also remembers colors you have chosen in the past (and I'm the type that uses several colors and takes forever to pick out which ones I want). She is also incredible at shaping the nail (I go with my friend and even when I show her technician my nail shape, they cannot replicate it) and she does great designs. I can't speak to any of the other technicians at this salon as she is the only one I've had but I believe credit should always be given where credit is due, and Kelly certainly deserves credit. She also a very pleasant person and easy to chat with. Like I said, the five stars is for her because my loyalty is to her and her skills. I have been going to this nail salon for a few years and I was never disappointed, but not now. Within the past few months, I am very disappointed in their service. It's not the technician but I feel the new ownership is buying a cheaper product. I have tips and have never had such a problem that I am having now, with lifting. Each and every week, at least 3-5 nails lift. This never happened before with the past owners.
