I've been coming here for over 4 years. Never had a problem until my last full set. The day after I got them. The tip started to separate from the nail and it wasn't a big deal until all of them separated. Contacted my tech and he was very apologetic. Fixed them immediately, but when I got home one of my nails broke completely off. Contacted him again. Said he would fix it, but due to my schedule I couldn't go to have them fix right away. After a day I wanted them off. So he said, ok. He ended up cutting my nails to the SKIN! Cut me in the process and then acted all confused. How do you confuse nail from skin?! Overall Hit or miss I walked in with high confidence since I've been to DB Golden Nails multiple times and loved the results, but this time was a huge letdown. I was really looking forward to getting my usual acrylic full set, but when I arrived, I was told I could only get gel. I tried to stay positive as this was my only spare time, so I showed the technician a couple simple pictures and requested to add some gems just like I had done before with great success. However, the experience turned painful when the application process dragged on for three hours, with little to no communication from the technician. I was at the salon for three hours, which was way too long! Halfway through, I even offered to change the design because I wasn't happy with it, but she just kept going. She had to redo it multiple times, and I kept pointing out the mistakes too. It was so frustrating to sit there for so long and still not get what I wanted. The final product was nothing like I envisioned--the flower I requested that she had redone multiple times looked like blobs. The gems were all jumbled together on top of a painful, sloppy application process that left my nails inflamed. Atp i just needed to leave. To make matters worse, on the way out other artists were glancing at my nails in disbelief, the front desk girl even asked why I had so many gems!... I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. I really wanted to like this salon because i'd heard great things and get my pedicures here sometimes. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was bad enough I won't be returning. I came in for a gel fill. when i was sat, the manicurist insisted she popped off all my nails and restarted a fresh set because my old salon made them too thick. fine, a valid point, i guess i'll drop more money than planned. but things quickly went from bad to much much worse. suddenly the woman next to me was in an all out verbal screaming match with the staff. then another customer was yelling too, calling out a manicurist for doing a bad job in prior experiences and why she couldn't go sit at his chair. it was quite awkward. all this is happening around me, meanwhile i was never allowed to pick out my own colors. my manicurist just kind of decided, and i was too nice to say much. she was doing( sort of) the reference id brought in. they ended up looking pretty awful, and she blamed the bad nail art on the shape of my nails - not just saying she couldn't do it. so they moved me to the owner. Leo was nice enough to finish my manicure, but because EVERYONE wants the owner doing their nails, he rushed through it and they also looked bad. by then, i was down $80 and three hours of my life. long story short, i had to go to a different salon the next morning to get them fixed. and no, i won't be returning. read more

I never had eyelash extensions before and I was nervous. He does the best job with my nails so I wanted to go to someone I trust. He was so gentle I was literally almost sleeping while he did them. Came in for a mani pedi with regular polish, was excited based off reviews. I don't live in town anymore so when I was here for the weekend I decided to try this place. The entire experience would have been great if I didn't get polish. I'm not sure if it's the quality of the polish or the amount of thinner they were adding to it, but something is off. I spent an hour and a half there for a mani pedi Friday, then had to return Saturday to get my manicure fixed. Every coat of polish had an issue, whether it was bubbling, chipping, or terrible layering, my manicure was probably the worst I've ever gotten. Every time I gave feedback, I was told it was simply because I wasn't getting gel. Unfortunately poor quality experience two days in a row. read more

Not only did the technician make me bleed, but the gel is already starting to bubble and lift after only 5 days. 5 DAYS! I normally can get at LEAST 2 weeks out of a gel manicure. Get your gels elsewhere. UPDATE: Took Leo up on his offer to fix my gels. It seems he believes the base coat wasn't dry enough and set out to redo them. I never write bad reviews but this was horrible service. It was a rushed manicure. They gave me the wrong color and didn't want to correct it. I spent months growing out my beautiful nails, they were strong and long. I wanted them to stay long and just rounded, but before I could even say anything they started chopping off all my nails. They didn't even cut off the cuticle, and there is a gap between the cuticle and the polish. Horrible. I was left with an extremely rude service, stubby nails, and the wrong color. I've been a customer here for a few years as an accent place they offer top-notch service. I get UV gel's and I have Leo take care of my manicure and any of the other nail technicians to my pedicures and never had a problem. I've been back since COVID-19 and their guidelines are awesome, you must call before entering they checked temperatures taken name and number of who's been in the salon have barriers during the service Every other station is being used to keep distance for manicures and pedicures and after each person leaves the whole station seating is sanitized. I just got a gel manicure and gel pedicure for $68.00. It is a nice place and well-equipped. I only saw one technician clean their station before and after her customer, I had to request my workstation to be wiped clean. I made the appointment with Leo the manager and explained I had the 15% discount and he was very friendly about it, contrary to when I went to pay the attendant seemed bothered with the fact that I was using the discount. So much so that they only gave me 10% discount instead of the 15% that I had. My technician did not even give me a full manicure, Jim only filed and applied the polish but I still paid for a full manicure. The place was very busy and they seemed more preoccupied to get the next customer in than to do the job right. The manager was attending a customer and the place was full which is why I did not address it directly with him. I probably wouldn't go again or at least be aware that I won't get full service for what I'm paying. read more

I'm appalled at how I was treated today.. my nails hurt..I've never written bad reviews. I travel all over the world and use nail and hair salons allover the world. Hong Kong China Paris London Rome .. I've never ever had such terrible service , bad attitude , painful manicure.. bleeding finger. I'm shocked .. I went for extension and none of the nails are the same shape or size. Crooked and not one the same length. When I questioned the manicurist why both my thumbs were too short he had a hissy fit and left the salon. I was shocked.. then told to wait. I think the owner or manager of the salon took over .. bad attitude used the grinder on top of nail bed and I said wow that hurts doing too hard. ... he stopped .. I felt completely helpless and honestly wanted to walk out. He finished and actually agreed my thumbs were too short .. I said wow I have gel in my nail bed and red polish on my finger .. he then tried to take off with cuticle nippers and cut my finger . I jumped and said that's it I'm done. Am I particular yes.. and I'll get over bad manicure and move ahead. I'm not even annoyed about the money. I'm happy to pay 2 xs as much and tip really well for good service and professionalism. I'm home now and my thumbs hurt.. he cut in too hard with the big wide Emory board and shaved my skin .. I'm done .. beware be warned .. don't go there.. terrible attitude. Found this place by accident, and I'm definitely returning. Andy was my nail technician - he was excellent, super sweet and really careful with every part of the pedicure process. Five minutes after walking out I smudged the polish on two toes - the owner was very understanding and quickly fixed them both. Recommending this place to friends and family in the area!! read more

My gel mani turned out okay. He rushed with doing my cuticles so there are still places he could have trimmed more, but the kicker was that they charged me more because I picked a chrome nail color without verbally telling me it was more money than a regular gel mani or posting the price anywhere. I took the receipt from my nail tech and went to pay, and suddenly one of the men (the manager?) yells that it's actually $30 because even though the chrome was $10 extra, they're giving me a "discount." Went to Golden Nail for gel manicure approximately 9-10 days ago, they lasted less than a week, 4 nails chipping, breaking, hurt to even wash my hair-I go in today and show them, I ask for gel fill-ins plus gel polish this time -was charged $50 when their price is always $33 for gel fills- I find this out at the end as I was paying, after I tipped the girl $10-I asked why when it is $33 for everyone else- the guy taking my credit card told me they had to do "special" work on my nails? because they were chipped-I said they chipped because of your last manicure, not my fault and besides, the nail tech drilled my polish off like any other gel fill in session-so they did a lousy job the last time-then when you go back for correction they charge you more! plus I had to ask the nail tech to clean up after the last woman sitting with her-all her dust and garbage left behind-will never go back read more
