These guys came out for a routine Air conditioning service call s part of our American Home Warranty. They broke a piece off and now the air conditioning does not work at all. That was April 19. We've called them repeatedly. Left detailed messages and our phone numbers for both my husband and I. Crickets. Nothing. It's been so long that now American Home Warranty has our service call listed as complete. And we're being asked for another $120 to REOPEN the service call?!? We cannot get help from either ElITE OR AMERICAN HOME WARRANTY. Mi do not recommend either of these businesses!! read more

They were assigned to us by our 2-10 home warranty. Diagnosed our AC problem as a seized condenser fan motor. Technician said he was going to grab a part. Came back and told me there's none in town. Told me to call their main office and set up a time for him to come back. Can not get ahold of them. Have called 5x and left 2 voicemails. Coming up on 48hrs since and nothing from them. AC is in pieces in the backyard, outdoor temp is 97° + humidity, and our indoor temp is at 90°. Wife and I have no idea when this will be fixed, and don't know how long to get a hotel for. Horrible business practice to leave your customers in the dark, especially as an AC repair company during a heat advisory. Also their address on their website is not accurate. Shady all around. Dont recommend. read more

We recommend Elite to anyone who asks. We have an old HVAC that we are definitey putting off getting replaced, and they've come out a few times for us over the last 5 years and gotten the heater running again for such a reasonable cost. The first time it went down on us in 2020, we called another company who said there was no fix and quoted us an outrageous price for an HVAC replacement. I'm so glad we got the second opinion from Elite and they keep us running! Matt, specifically, is quick and efficient. read more

Our home thermostat was not responding for heat set it to 72 and it would stop at 69. They got me a scheduled appointment within 48-hours (non-emergency) during the busiest time. The worker that came to my home walked me through everything and got it fixed within an hour. We are a week in and things continue to go well and they did do a f/u call to make sure we were good. Area I wanted more was The cost was covered under my home warranty so I just paid the $107 fee. Not sure of cost if I did not have and no one discussed nor was it on my reciept would have appreciated to know to do some comparison. As they have service plan program I might have been interested in. read more

Our home warranty company contracts with Elite and sent them to check a crack in our heat exchange. They came on Wednesday to do the report and told me there are indeed cracks in our system. They failed to submit the report to the warranty company within 24 hours, temperatures are dropping, I have an infant and two small children and no solution before the cold weekend. I've called and they do not answer their phone. read more

Did a great job replacing my furnace. Trevor was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions.

I didn't chose Elite Heating & AC when my air conditioner went out. Horrible customer service, very condescending. Technicians dont know what they are doing. They came out 4 times in attempt to fix my ac. A month went by and I was done, nothing got fixed. After the 4th visit I was told they couldn't fix it because something was blocking the air flow in my ducts. This would mean that all my ducts were blocked. For the record it had nothing to do with my ducts.i decided to call another ac company & the problem was figure out within 10 minutes of being in my house. read more

Probably the worst representation of quality that exists. They did a whole system replacement on my AC unit. Within a week it wasn't cooling. They returned 4 times to fix the issue only to blame a different problem and then charge us an other deductible. The technician was rude and when I could be there he was condescending to my wife and made her uncomfortable. When I started asking questions about his diagnosis on our issue he told me "you can google it if you don't believe me". By the end of the last visit from them he finally said "I don't have a clue what's going on" and tried to charge my an other deductible fee for figuring absolutely nothing out. If negative stars was an option I wouldnt know when to stop the rating. It was that bad. read more

My AC was not cooling and AHS was at my home the very next day. The communication from the main office staff and the technician were consistently courteous and timely. Matt arrived exactly when he said he would and was professional and efficient at problem solving my issue, showing me and teaching me a thing or two about my AC system and explaining next steps. He was out the very next afternoon with the part he needed to fix the unit and my home is once again cool. Thank you! read more

Matt from elite came out. Didn't talk much. Went down to my furnace and barely looked at the issues I told the company about. Seemed like all he cared about was making his company money. It had a very shady salesman feel to it. He was also dressed very unprofessional. Looked like he had not showered in a few days. The only reason I had them instead of a different company was because my home warranty company contracted with them for service calls. Find a different company and save yourself the headache. I found it very hard to trust or believe what he was telling me. read more

All in all, I feel they don't stand behind their service, argue with you at every turn, and have an excuse for everything. Assigned to me by my warranty company for A/C repair. My first impression of them is that they were very fast to turn on the message stating they were gone for the 4th of July holiday on the day before. Now take into account that they have a 24-hour emergency service line - that is booked for two weeks with people that can't or don't want to take time off work. They were finally able to come out almost a week later. I had asked them to look at the fan on my condenser unit as the top was hot to the touch. They diagnosed it as a capicitor out. They left stating it was fixed. It was making the same exact noise as before. Called back and was educated more than once that it has to fail before it is covered. It did. Called to ask about fixing the real problem, and was told I had to resubmit, and wait almost another week. Switched to another company immediately. read more

We were connected with them through our home warranty company that I came out while I was in the hospital and I had to meet us at my home to help take care of it because my kids and stuff were home and they did not fix my AC and now after whatever he did my basement is flooding through my furnace because of my AC and they won't respond to us or call us back read more

We worked with Elite through our home warranty, I do not recommend them, the technicians who came out barely did anything, they checked a few things then stated it was an electrical issue. We had to have an electrician come who stated there was nothing wrong with the electrical, we then had to have another HVAC company come out who was able to fix the issue with in a matter of 5 minutes. Also the receptionist was very rude over the phone when trying to get things set up or resolved. read more

Let me be brief. Take the previous reviews by others to heart. This company takes multiple trips to "repair" the system each time reporting back to the insurance company they found and fixed another problem requiring another deductible. Very Rude person named Sarah at the office that deals with customers. As with other she is an angry person without any customer service skills what so ever. Avoid this company at all costs. read more

If you have Elite come and fix your HVAC, I strongly advise that you do not let the technician leave your home until the unit has not only kicked on, but has completely cycled through - I wish we hadn't let him go that day - we were just excited to have heat again in December and didn't think a new unit wouldn't work. Elite didn't finish their install job... we are stuck with a heater that errors out. We were assigned Elite Heating and Air through our homebuyers warranty. Elite did help to fight for a new heating unit through the warranty and we were so excited. The technician was nice on install day and worked quickly. We had requested our smart thermostat be reinstalled (it had been installed and working with the previous heater), and he stated that it couldn't be due to the configuration of our home wiring and installed one of their digital thermostat over the plate for the previous thermostat (it is literally hanging by the wires - not ideal, but we thought he was going to come back and replace the thermostat when he left). After he left, we noticed that it sounded like the heat was constantly on and only blowing warm air about half the time - we quickly realized something was wrong. It would repeat the cycle around every eight minutes. We looked down at the actual HVAC unit and noticed it had a blinking orange light that corresponded to error codes. We called Elite back asking for them to come back - quick google search said the error code corresponded to a system overheating/hitting its limits. Elite recommended that we switch out our air filter to a less restrictive filter, and we did, but the unit was still cycling with the error code blinking. We called back Elite, but it was now after business hours on a weekend, and left a message. We called our home warranty company as well - as it is part of their process. Elite declined coming back to our home warranty company stating that the issue was our fault due to the smart thermostat (the digital thermostat that their technician installed is still hanging from its wires on our wall and my smart thermostat is sitting next to me on the desk). Thankfully, our home warranty company sent out another company for a second opinion - the second opinion stated that the HVAC was "throwing limits" (getting too hot) due to air constriction and postulated that it could be either the intake or a clogged coil further up the line. We had a third company come out to confirm that the coil was not clogged (it was clean when he opened the unit) and that the issue was the intake - he literally took off the all of the access panels as a test (not safe to leave the unit in that state) so that the heater could bring in air, and the error was resolved until he had to close back up the unit. We and our home warranty are both still struggling with Elite to come back out and finish properly installing our heating unit. Elite installed the until on December 12th and it has not worked correctly yet. read more

Dishonest unethical service company that charges their customers fees for work they don't need! Customer service is also terrible and this business can't be trusted! Be very careful if you choose this company to repair or replace any of your heating and AC units! I would definitely get a second opinion on any problems they diagnose. read more

Through our home warranty we were connected with this company. Today the contractor came and installed a brand new outdoor unit for my A/C and a new evaporator coil inside as well. He was efficient and friendly, he also helped us install a new thermostat we just bought. He was great and the receptionist is super friendly and helpful as well. Highly recommended! read more

This company has been a nightmare to work with. We have to work with them because of our home warranty and they have taken advantage at every turn and taken their sweet time doing so. We have been without air for one month and can not get them to come back after their initial consultation. We have called and called, their hold times are unreasonable and they are absolutely no help in getting this done. I don't know what to do. I am going to have to pay out of pocket just to get this done even with my warranty. read more

This review is really more about HMS Home Warranty than Elite, but Elite works with HMS so they are guilty by association. First of all, Elite did fine work I needed the condenser coil replace and they had it done in an hour once I finally got them out to my house. They were courteous and professional. However, If you are considering a Home Warranty through HMS, do not do it. They provided me the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. 1. The customer service representative was rude and lied to me. She told me there were no supervisors or managers I could speak to. Later in the call she offered to connect me with a supervisor. 2. The supervisor called me back the next day and left a message with no callback number. She stated she would call me again. She never called me back. 3. After waiting 48 hours for the supervisor, I asked for my case to be escalated again to case management. I never received any communications from case management. read more

These guys are punctual, competent, and fairly priced. I would suggest them to any one.

You know when you call a service company and hope they won't take you to the cleaners? Well, this one will try. Elite was sent out through our HMS Warranty when the AC wasn't pushing out much air, especially upstairs. They come out and I paid $125 for them to tell me that my AC needs to be replaced - estimating around $4000. They said it's leaking Freon and is "2-4 lbs low" of the 8 lbs capacity. They said the fan was wobbling and hitting the inside of coil due to stress cracks in the fan mount. They said it needs to be replaced. I called and asked if the Freon was refilled but was told that it was not. It is the law that the leak has to be fixed before it can be refilled. To be fixed, the AC needs to be replaced. They even leave the fuse disconnect out and strongly advised that I shouldn't use it because it could "explode" due to the fan hitting the coils. However, they say that HMS won't cover the replacement because it's not considered "normal wear and tear" (according to HMS). They say how HMS is wrong and that we should fight it because they're certain it needs replaced. Getting nowhere with HMS, we cancel and try to get back whatever money we could in anticipation of spending thousands to replace the AC. But then, I decide to have a look at the AC myself. I first discover that the coils were completely covered in fuzz, dirt and debris. I give it a good bath and started it up. It starts working fine now. Nowhere did they mention that it needed cleaned EVER. I also measure the fan. There is a solid 4" clearance between blades and the coil. It is a physical impossibility that the little wobbling would cause the fan to hit the inside. I call Fred's and have them check it. Upon coming out, they (right in front me) show me that the Freon wasn't even a 1/2 lb. low. They say the little fan wobbling was due to the one of the fan blades having a crack in its mount. We check the ducting and discover another flange that regulates upstairs air. After opening it, I get tons of COLD air upstairs now. My AC is running better than ever. Naturally, I call Elite back and wonder what they were trying to do. Talking to the same woman who answered the phone the first time (she has a very unique voice and easy to remember), I mention how the Freon wasn't low at all. She has the audacity to say "that's because the tech filled it up"! To keep from making this longer, Elite is a complete rip-off. They cannot be trusted. read more

While I was out of town, my 84 year old mother, who is on oxygen, had her air condition go out. She has been a customer for quite awhile. When she called on a Wednesday, she was told they could not come until the following Monday. While I understand the heat causes business to pick up, waiting five days in high heat is NOT acceptable. I called the company we use and they said they would do what they had to to get their TODAY. That is customer service, Elite. In addition, the manager she spoke with was rude to her. Good thing their are good companies to choose from. read more

Worst customer experience I've ever had. They were sent through HMS Warranty. It took a week to get them out which was whatever. They were the 3rd people out in a month due to ac problems and "cleaned" the coils on the unit while actively trying to sell a unit to us because it was 20 years old and at this point it was just patching work. 3 days later my ac is out again so I call HMS and they tell me to talk to Elite but I shouldn't have to pay anything. The customer service person was the rudest lady I've ever dealt with. I've been in Customer Service and Management for nearly 10 yrs and have never had such a bad interaction with a rep. I've been in my house for only a month and received no empathy from the lady. I asked her what they reported to hms and if they said anything about needing a new unit, she yelled about why in the world would they ever recommend to them that I need a new unit. She then said that I was having a different problem with my unit than last time so I would actually have to pay the $100. I was trying to clarify and understand because my warranty company said I didn't need to pay the deductible. She was screaming on the phone the entire time after this so I cancelled my service appointment with them. Never would I ever recommend dealing with Elite. Since then I've gone to Complete Comfort and have had nothing but superior service. read more

PROMPT SERVICE, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.....Elite was assigned by our home warranty provider and we were very impressed. Jason, the Elite tech, was straightforward and answered all of our questions. The company dispatcher, Julie, was courteous and professional upon making contact with us to set up the service call appointment. I would recommend Elite to anyone needing their services. Thank you Jason and Julie and please keep up the great job! read more

So far, so good. I called Elite to set up an appointment to give me an estimate on moving my A/C condenser coil from the back yard to the side where it would be safer from the elements. The lady on the phone tells me that things are a little busy right now, at which I tell her that's alright, I am not looking to get it done just this minute, but within the next month or so. We settle on yesterday with a time frame of 1-4pm. OK, I have worked for the cable company (2hr windows) and the phone company (up to 8 hour windows) so I understood. So then the hail hit and smashed my compressor into an aluminum ball of freon (might be a slight exaggeration) 3 days ago. I was sitting around having lunch with my in-laws, having a bad day, and complaining as to how I believe this guy is going to show up like at least 2 hours after 4pm, with no call to warn me, or he may not even show up at all. At that point, my mother-in-law looks out the window and says "there looks to be a heating and cooling truck outside." Low-and-behold, there he is, and lookie there, its only 12:40am! The dude is early! So I meet him outside, he introduced himself, we walk through the house, look at everything, tells me everything I already know, looks at my compressor, asks if we had some hail. At that point I say, "Yes, and funny you say that. I was just saying to my in-laws how I thought you would be super busy with all the hail calls, and how I thought you would not show until late, if at all today." He just chuckles and says he'll be back in a minute after he writes up this hail damage estimate to replace the compressor. So far, all has gone better than expected! read more

Could not agree more with what is stated in the bad reviews! Gal that answers the phone is THE RUDEST PERSON!! If you don't like you job get a new one!! and WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!!!! Never use this company! They are a scam and only out make money! They found all sorts of things wrong but didnt fix.. I called back to get an estimate to fix and prices were insane!!! Luckily I did NOT have them fix any "issues" as we paid for a SECOND opinion and NO Issues!! I want a FULL REFUND!! read more

Do NOT give this company your business. They do NOT care about their customers. Our entire experience with Elite was AWFUL! The office manager who fields phone calls has a way of making you feel like you are the stupidest and that we are inconveniencing them! Our A/C went out over Memorial weekend and it took 2 weeks for the first serviceman to come to our home. The work they did that day did not fix the A/C unit. So the next day, we placed another service call which was another week and a half (this was their "urgent" timeframe) for them to come out. I found it VERY interesting (read: sketchy) that the serviceman on day 1 did not find the problem that they found on the second service call. I'd hate to think they didn't thoroughly inspect our A/C simply to receive another deductible payment. A/C unit was finally installed 5 weeks after it went out!!!! Unfortunately, this company simply doesn't care about it's customers. I never received any communication following the install and payment. I never received an invoice documenting the work done at our house on day of install. A month after install, I was going to register the warranty for the products but did not have all the necessary serial numbers or model numbers to complete the application. Once again, the office manager assumed that I was the one who wasn't looking at the right numbers and I asked if possibly the installer (the owner) did not provide me with this paperwork. She was adamant that he is the owner and would NEVER forget to give a customer this information. Well guess what, people make mistakes and YES THE OWNER FORGOT TO PROVIDE ME WITH THE MODEL AND SERIAL NUMBER OF THE INSTALLED ITEM. Do NOT give this company your business they do NOT care about their customers. read more

Same experience as Yong C. Elite replaced my furnace - they left as soon as the work was completed and without performing any quality control on the work performed. Hence, I had a gas leak in my home which placed me and my family at risk for over 2 days. Quality of work and concern for human life appear to be lacking. Additionally, my humidifier was operational prior to the installation of the new furnance; now it is not. Elite refused to make it operational. read more

These people are CROOKS! They lied to us about our warranty policy and told my husband not to call our warranty company because "they [warranty co] will not work with us". Our AC unit was not fixed the first time and we have been stuck in a 90 degree house for 2 weeks due to their ignorance and neglegence. They rescheduled to come out and fix the unit but came on the wrong date without a phone call or message. They tried scamming our warranty company and us. Do NOT go with these criminals. read more

Horrible experience. I waited for over two hours for someone to show up and when I called they said they were here right at the time they said. I was 5 min late from getting back to the house from my own job! She even said he waited for 10 min. The time stamp on my alarm system even shows 10:05 for turning it off. No call or anything from them (She actually said that was company policy) and then the lady on the phone said I was being irrational and yelling at her. I to work in field service as a technician so I know exactly how to treat people on the phone whether I'm displeased or not. I also know how each call your on may not always go the way you had planned and cause you to be a little late to the next job, which, last time I checked, is why you give a window for time, or call if late. Her customer service was atrocious and instead of trying to resolve the situation, she was more concerned about proving me wrong for being a few minutes late. My ac has been down for 3 days with the average temp inside at 85 - 87 with 80%-90% humidity, on top of multiple other big issues that will require even more expenses. So instead of being a little compassionate about my situation, she wants to criticize me? Well here you go. I'm sorry if I'm just a little irritated, but in no way was I yelling. read more

I do not know about the quality of the work they provide but it is for sure the overall the quality level of the company operation is very low. From the beginning, the lady who makes appointments was very rude, and did not seem to care whether I place a work order or not with them. Is it because the service was through a warranty service company? She had hot temper and almost yelled me that there were several people want a specific time if I do not take it now. I had no choice, so I chose that time, and she hung up the phone badly. I was so upset because of her attitude and called her again and cancelled the work order. Even if I use my own expense to fix the A/C system, I would not go through such a cheap warranty contractor! Further, the warranty company said they repair would not be covered if it was the existing problem. Then, how can I trust such an unreliable contractor? Really bad experience! read more

tech showed up on pretty short notice....was quick..and gave me a more reasonable price for the repair to get my a/c back up and running again...having a baby in the house brought concern to the tech...who was a new dad himself he said!!
