Internet searches, and YouTube videos, suggest going to an auto parts store for the repair kit. Well I have been driving past this Tandy Leather location for over 20 years. Never once was I curious about the store, beyond the Tandy name. Well when Thuy got it in here mind to fix this sofa, and after watching many a YouTube video, I said, "Hey, what about the leather store on 377?" Thuy read the reviews, and was not optimistic. She decided to call first, and received from very helpful information from Sherry. We decided to go check it out in person. First off, Wow! I can not get over all the options in this place. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't this. Anything to do with leather is here. Leather of all sorts. Things to decorate leather with. Tools. Dyes. Even project kits, some very intricate. We met Sherry, and she was super helpful. Helped us with repair ideas, gave us some scraps (to put behind the area needing repair), taught us about the special glues used to bond leather, then told us about dying and color matching. So helpful. Thuy thinks she is all set. We also learned there are classes here too. We enjoyed our visit very much. Glad the negative review did not keep us away. If you know nothing about leather, or even if do and haven't been to this store, you should check this place out. Bottom line: What a cool find, 20 years ago!

We don't always buy something because there are only so many $3000 hand tooled leather chairs you can buy but enjoy looking. That said, we have spent some money here on our trips for accessories for the home. Here is my problem with the place. The woman who manages the place follows us around the store and gives us the impression that we are being profiled as shoplifters. While she is nice, she almost always is following us through the store. I have never had this feeling shopping anywhere else. I never mentioned this to my wife but after our 4th time visiting the store, she mentioned it to me, so if we both sensed it, it must be a real thing which has made the trip in uncomfortable. It is a shame because we like the home accents they sell and would buy clothing here for our girls on occasion but have decided the attention we receive makes this store an uncomfortable store to shop in. 5 stars for store 2 stars for experience with staff.

What they do offer is leather for making belts and adding logos and names on leather belts and anything else leather. It's the random crap that you would find in Canton. It's not my cup of tea, but interesting to see and the guy that worked there seemed to know a decent amount about leather. If you're into that "old folk" hobby lobby type stuff then this is probably a place you would appreciate.

It's easy to enter a conversation with any of them and when asked, they give advice as if they were talking to one of their own friends. The whole atmosphere is easy-going like a place you go to hang out. You don't feel the pressure to buy anything, everyone is there to be helpful. My husband bought a leather vest and got a patch sewn on, then later he picked up a gray t-shirt. That is why I'll keep going back and why I give this five star review. Such personal service. So cool story, we kept buying stuff for the bike...we had bought a pricey helmet that took a bite out of our wallet, so money was tight, but we still wanted to go to Wilson's. We went and I picked up a sticker and we took money out to pay for it. However, the old man cashier we had talked to earlier about our recent purchases and such...He told us, "No, just take it. Leather Goods Store…read more I came in here last night to look for a birthday gift and found a wallet I thought would be perfect. I called this morning and asked the lady if they could wrap it up for me as a birthday gift and she said of course. I came in at 4pm and everyone is incredibly nice in that store. The gift was perfectly wrapped and they had one out for me to look at as well. Super fast and easy check out. Incredibly friendly staff, excellent products, and will be back to shop for more for sure.
