Instead, you'll meet Emma, one of the nicest people in Sherman. I know because she's also one of my neighbors. But don't let her charm and good looks fool you. She's been in the leather business for a long time and can hook you up with whatever you need to ride! She sells everything from saddlebags to helmets and at great prices. I was really impressed by the large selection of helmets that she has, both DOT as well as novelty helmets. And she also carries a great selection of riding apparel.

Elite just did not want to make the saddles I ordered. I kept getting excuses after excuses, as to why they were not going to repair the saddles. Finally I had to hire an attorney. You can still buy Silver Mesa Saddles (now called Elite)…read more I just want to brag on my brand new comfy very pretty and well made Elite saddle. For years I would go to Denny Sergeants in Pilot Point, TX and drool over the saddles but at the prices they had I just could not afford one. Then the place went out of business. Then I found out the saddlemaker who actually made the Silver Mesas had opened up a saddle shop in Tioga Tex with his son. Both are name Raimundo Blanco and both are very concerned with saddle quality and that it fits the person buying it. I bought a headstall at first for a very reasonable price of around $50 then by saving my money and selling some other saddles, I was able to buy an Elite saddle. I could not afford silver accents but it does have some nice conchos and tooling and it is pretty enough for show. Went in today to have some repairs done on an old show halter made by someone else and saw a saddle they were working on. (Time to drool some more!) It was priced about 3800 which was reasonable knowing how much Silver Mesas sold for and how much other saddle makers sell theirs for. I highly recommend these saddles. You get first rate quality and first rate customer service at a very competitive price. http://elitesaddles.com/ The also make anything leather, headstalls, halters, breast collars, cell phone holders, etc.

Seriously, I wanted to match several yarns I'd seen on Ravelry, but the manufacturer had discontinued those colorways. Quixotic Fibers had them. Twice, that happened. Luck, or a portal? Hard to know. And so nice, I stopped by several times at DFW, each time their staff was pleasant and helpful, even when I skidded in 5 minutes before closing one evening and said, "I need a 4 color gradient for a class tomorrow morning." Not a problem. And, I've gotten huge compliments on the resulting cowl. Seriously, A+++++, will buy from again.
