They were prompt, fast and had very nice equipment. They were also reasonably priced.

These folks are top notch! It's clear from their equipment they have million-dollar contracts, and…read moreI just had a small job for my driveway gate. What really impressed me is the super friendly service for a little job like mine. The front desk people were friendly and so were the guys in back. I own a business myself and I'm fully aware that "small jobs" bring little profit, and we "little guys" tend to take up the worker's time with questions, changing their minds, failing to understand limitations, or just being flaky. They clearly don't need the little jobs, but I guess they realize folks like me are more likely to write Yelp reviews and eventually bring bigger contracts. Vern handled my job. He answered all my questions, and let me watch him do the work while I waited. Vern even told me a bit about the history of the company, which is very interesting. (At least to me.) I had the material already, so I drove it from Sacramento. I did search closer to me, and there's no shop with these capabilities in Sacramento. The job was just this: I brought three 8-foot lengths of aluminum channel which were to be butt-welded to become a single 24 feet piece, which was then bent to form an arch. The arch goes at the top of my driveway gate. (It's mostly cosmetic, so aluminum is fine. I'll paint it so it looks like iron.) I was given safety glasses at the office and I was allowed on the floor to watch the bending process. Vern even helped me load it back in my vehicle. (It was now much longer.) While I was there I also had a license-plate size piece of steel I needed cut in half, and although I could cut it at home, I would be happy to pay if they could do it. He chopped it in half while we waited for the welding, no charge. The welding quality was excellent and the arch is perfect. Worth the drive from Sacramento. And WELL worth the small price I paid for the work.

I worked for NJM maybe 3yrs. In a nutshell, this is a top shelf company. In my opinion, anyone…read morewould be hard pressed to find someone their equal, if not better.

I "enjoyed" our trees as they grew higher and higher and their leaf canopy provided shade for our…read morehouse and decks as well as home for many species of birds that serenaded us mornings and evenings. They grew to a height of over 40 feet and were starting to decay. I should have dealt with this earlier. I called several tree services and three came, gave me a bid only to walk off the job because the trees were rotting and more than half had hollow trunks. Tony from Acampo showed up, gave me a very competitive bid, showed up to do the work on time and then walked off the job due to trees being too dangerous. But unlike the other companies, he offered me the only other option; to hire a crane, do traffic control (because the only place the crane could work from would be on the busy road next to our house). Of course it was a lot more expensive but what choice did I have? So I accepted and after taking care of the permit for traffic control, reserving the crane and getting the crew together, Tony stated work on time, 30 days later. I was there when the crew showed up; I told my wife that these guys were obviously confident, professional and they all knew their jobs and acted like a well-oiled machine. Everything went according to plan. They started at 6:30 am and soon the crane was lifting sections of trees that were as big as a bus and weighed over a ton carefully over my other trees and fence to the road surface where some of the crew cut it into sections that were fed into the chipper. 4 hours later the clean up was underway. It was a dangerous project. Tony complied quickly when I asked that me and my property be named as an additional insureds on the Acampo Insurance policy and when I asked for confirmation that the crane operator was insured and that all of the crew were covered by worker's compensation insurance. When it was over, I breathed a sigh of relief. The job was handled professionally, no one was hurt and my property was not damaged. Tony had warned me that due the deterioration of the trees, several things could go wrong but his crew was on its toes the whole time and everything was handled well. I have already asked Tony to give me a bid to reduce several other trees on the lot before they reach the same level of deterioration. From the beginning he treated me fairly and I am confident that he will do so again. Based on my experience, I am heartily recommending Acampo to anyone who needs expert tree service regardless of how big or small the job is. Nelson Barry San Francisco June 21, 2023

In January 2023 we had 3 large trees go down in all the storms. We had Acampo out and they quoted…read moreus over $100,000 to remove 3 trees. That's not a typo. Over $100,000. We got quotes from a few other companies and ended up getting all the trees removed for around $20,000 (still a ton of money). I'm well aware of the reality of 'surge pricing' but this is just inexcusable, and it makes me question the ethics of the company. Please beware of price gouging, especially during/after storms, and get several bids.

It all initially started when we dropped off our tractor. We briefly described what was not working on our tractor. We were told there were four other tractors ahead of ours for repairs but were informed he would get back to us that day or the next since he was in a meeting. Since he hadn't we called him and left a message yet again. We waited a week for a response and still no response. We left another message asking for a call on an estimate and were told he was out to lunch and he'd call us back by Gabriela. We had to call again and when we did finally connect with Tom, h3bacted as if it was such a bother that we wanted an update! He asked again what was wrong with the tractor. We pointed out again it wouldn't turn on nor did the PTO work. Off the cuff he immediately attempted to discourage us by saying it would cost 4500$ without even looking at it! My husband told him that seemed high and wasn't sure if we could afford but we still needed to know what was wrong with it because it hadn't even been looked at, at this point!!! We waited yet ANOTHER WEEK WITH NO RESPONSE FOR AN ESTIMATE!! Keep in mind we are now at the month mark of waiting for just an estimate. So we called again! Tom's immediate response was because we had said the quote he threw out last time was expensive to us, he just ASSUMED we were not going to have it fixed! What the hell?!!! Again we asked for a diagnosis!!! We called back a week later to be told it would cost 2300$ which was more in line of what we needed to pay for the repairs and they were waiting for a part. We then asked to have the oil change on it since we are having it repaired. Tom lashed back when asked about having the oil change by saying " I thought you needed to save money!" Finally he called to inform us our tractor was ready ( after 5 and a half weeks) he said if I use a credit card it was 3% fee if I write a check I had to wait 10 days to pick up the tractor. We asked if we brought a cashiers check from the bank would we have to wait the 10 days? He got an attitude stating that too is a check! Basically he wanted cash only!! When we arrive for our tractor someone informed him we were there to pick it up. He said some statement aloud to the manager, in general he was pretty pissed we were bothering him to pick it up! Then he said our tractor was in spot.#1! How in the hell are we suppose to know where spot #1 is?! Another employee came out to to show us where this spot #1 is . Well he acted like it was a bother too!! This place has several stalls no noticeable markings so how is a customer suppose to know?! Ive taken my riding mowers with better service than this place!! They downright are awful for customer service!! If you don't want to deal with people move aside and let someone else in We found a place now which is an hour away from our home!!! Id rather take that long commute than comeback here!!! We were more than patient and to be treated so poorly!!! If Mahindra has only these people working on their tractors YOURE BETTER OFF NOT BUYING A MAHINDRA TRACTOR...GO KABOTA!!!
