This business is horrible. They damaged my roof and backyard furniture to the point both had to be replaced at my expense. I threw them off the job before the chimney was finished. I spoke with the manager and the owner who lives out of state. Neither did anything to fix my damaged property. Their insurance company was just as bad. I wanted to have my flues for fireplaces cleaned, and my partner contacted Elite, based upon reviews here. The day of the work, the appointment was delayed by a few hours, but we did get a phone call alerting us to the delay. Guys arrived and did a cleaning and inspection of flues. Based on their descriptors, I am lucky my house never burned to ground because of the conditions of the flues. Provided me with a VIEW of an estimate to do work. I foolishly had them do a stainless flue liner in ONE flue. $3187 later I have a stainless liner priced at $95/foot, which can be purchased for 20% of that on line, charged for 30 feet, but only~23 feet were used for the job. They left the beige tile floor and grout on the basement floor looking as though they used no drop cloth to prevent getting refractory cement all over the tile and grout, left literally pounds of old fireplace cement on the floor around the boiler, and may have made a vestigial attempt at cleaning the floor. I spent hours cleaning the dried cement off the tiles and grout. The supervisor of the crew took a lot of pictures of the three flues, and said he would send them so I could plan for future fireplace flue work. Three days after my check was cashed, still no pictures or written estimate for future multi thousand dollar relining each of the two fireplace flues. Two hours (maybe) of work by two guys for just shy of $3200 is not what I would call a good deal; and if their flue work was no better than their cleanup work, woe is me. I used a check rather than pay a 4% "convenience fee" which is not mentioned during the talk of the estimate, and they had not left the estimate visible to be seen for anything other than the scary descriptors of impending doom; the estimate disappeared when they commenced their work. My review would be no stars if that could be done. Not a satisfied customer. read more

They were happy to take the time to answer any questions that I had, and explained all of the components of the job in relation to the specific situation presented my house and existing systems and the related costs. After they fail to complete the service you pay for, you'll be facing hours and hours and HOURRRRS of phone calls, emails, etc. They'll promise you a resolution and will then fail to deliver the smallest tasks. "We will call you back tomorrow by 5 pm, we promise"? Doesn't matter. You'll get no call back. I can't recommend any more highly that you avoid this company. Read their reviews on Yelp, Google, Better Business Bureau, etc. They prey on senior citizens who may not be tech savvy enough to check online ratings. They get most of their business via telemarketing. They're based in Long Island and contract with local, crappy vendors, setting up local shell companies under the name Elite. Elite Chimney Solutions gave us an estimate for chimney and fireplace repair. included: install stainless steel lining system, smoke tite seal throat of fireplace, install 8 by 13 stainless steel cap, reinstall cleaned damper and point firebox. The company installed new stainless steel liner system, did NOT smoke tite seal entire throat of fireplace. After the installation, smoke and toxic fumes came into the room. They said they had installed a liner that was too narrow. They installed a larger 9 inch liner. It was only 8 inch. They charged us another $1,500 to remove the 6 inch liner and replace it. They broke some of the original ceramic liner to make room for the larger liner. After this second installation, smoke and toxic fumes still came into the room. To this date, we are unable to use the fireplace.An independent bbb accredited specialist inspected the chimney and said that the throat of the fire chamber was not sealed, that the sealant used on the chimney cap was below grade and caused fumes to enter the chimney and that they had not sealed additional gaps in the flu. They said that using the fireplace was a fire hazard. We paid Elite Chimney Solutions $5,400 for an unusable fireplace. We took them to Small Claims Court and issued an civil arrest warrant against them. read more

We hired this company to do an inspection and cleaning of our fireplace back in January of this year.... Was told numerous things needed to be repaired or replaced such as caps on top of the chimney, Flashing around the chimney since our chimney was leaking into our house.... After $3300 worth of work we thought all was good.... We had such an extremely dry summer with little or no rain so thought nothing of it.... Well now that we have had some serious rain storms lately the leak they supposedly fixed is just as bad if not worse!!!!! I had a scheduled appointment this past Thursday between 12-3 and not 1 person showed up AT ALL... The only response I finally got was after I sent a message saying why was I still waiting and was told as soon as their last appointment was done they would be by.... Well darkness came and went with no more communication from them.... Called and left numerous messages on Friday and Today being Saturday and cannot speak to any human being!!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE On March 9, 2019 I contacted Elite Chimney Solutions LLC to give me a quote for a Cap to be installed on my chimney. A company representative came out and stated that I had no flute and therefore would need a lining installed as well. He also stated he had a custom cap from another job that didn't fit so he would use that on my house. The below was the extent of the work to be done as part of the original estimate for a total of $3,000 along with $1000 deposit totaling $4,000. I agreed to the amount and scheduled the work to be done on March 12th at 9:00 am EST. This work was paid $1000 before the job began. * Install 7" Stainless steel dbl ply Lining. * Cement pipe * Replace 3" pipe from hot water tank to liner * Caster Cap & cement down * Grind +point chimney in the attic. On March 12, 2019 The workers arrived one hour and 45 minutes late. They then installed the lining and began work in the attic. During that time the worker mentioned that he had plaster he can use for the chimney if the bricks aren't bad so that he wouldn't have to grind and point the chimney in the attic. A few minutes later, the worker came down and claimed that he had found black mold in my attic and that he would not touch it. He then told me that it must be taken care of and went on to tell me a story about his neighbor that had the same thing in their house and their twin babies were born with special needs. I agree that he should not touch black mold, however he was incorrect in that it is NOT in fact mold but just black soot. The worker then proceeded to come back down and said he will not be able to complete the job. He claimed that the brick and mortar are turning into sand. He said they cannot use the plaster that he had previously offered as it will not stick. He then mentioned that the whole chimney would need to come down from attic floor to roof. I called the owner of the house and put him on speaker phone so he could hear what was happening. The worker gave me a quote for the work and stated it would be $8200. I then ensured the $8200 was for everything including the partial work that had been done that day and the worked confirmed that the total for all work would be $8,200 today. Instead of paying the full $3000. He said the work today totaled $2700. I then gave him a deposit. Once the worker left I looked over the paperwork because things were not sitting well with me and I did not feel comfortable. I called the office and they said it was additional $8200 on top of the original $3,700 payment. It turns out the worker had lied to me about the cost of the work to be done. Likely in hopes that I would not catch on until after the work was done and would then owe them the full amount. Due to the false information I called and cancelled the job and told them not to cash the deposit check as I would not be using their services. They then immediately ran out to attempt to cash the deposit check but were unable to as I had already cancelled the check. They then came to my house demanding that I pay. He knocked two hundred off. Full amount I paid for the job is $3500. I had another company come out the next day to look at the work that needs to be done. They opened up the pipe from the furnace to the chimney and were baffled as to what they saw. Elite Chimney Solutions LLC had used foil paper in the chimney. They also had not added the Elbow connector from the hot water tank nor to from the furnace to the chimney. In addition, when I went upstairs to see what they did I noticed they had left a large mess up in the attic. The brick they knocked out was never replaced and they added foil paper inside. I have called several times to contact them to have them come finish the original job that I had already paid them for. Unfortunately, they are not getting back to me. This company and man took advantage because I am a woman and they thought they could trick me into paying for services that are not needed, are not done correctly and are not the price that they quoted. DO NOT EVER CALL THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE OVERPRICED, SKETCHY AND HAVE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. I will be calling the BBB and my lawyer. read more

They tried to convince me that my chimney desperately needed $4,000 of work, and then they tried to convince me that they'd give me a special deal if I paid the representative personally in cash within 24 hours. This business solicited my business over a phone call. I needed to have my chimney swept so I agreed and the reviews that I saw were good however, this was not my experience. The s3weep arrived timely and went on my roof to do an inspection and take a picture of "my chimney liner" before he swept it. He returned with a picture that showed a severely creosol caked liner with holes in the top rim. I have a stainless steel liner. He rated my liner and chimney as "hazardous" and wrote "apon inspection this liner is dangerous". Note how Upon was spelled. I was suspicious of his evaluation as he gave me a quote for $3,200.00 to replace my liner on the spot. I called a second company for a second inspection whose opinion contrasted dramatically from Elite's evaluation. I called a third company for an inspection and cleaning and this company agreed with the second and said my chimney and liner were in good condition and that I was doing everything correctly. The sweep cleaned my liner for $169.00 and showed a actual live shot so I could see that it was true and real time. He said if I keep up the maintenance like I have there should be no problems in the future and won't need the lining replaced anytime soon.
