Almost three years ago I had Depietro Roofing take out my skylight and replace the area. I got up on the roof 3 days ago to clean my gutters and noticed that the rubber tape they used was lifting on all the edges. I sent John Depietro a text with Pictures explaining what was going on and he never called me back. It rained last night so my wife called Depietro Roofing this morning after I noticed water on my floor and immediately he denied doing the job and told me someone was else had been on the roof and was responsible. After getting an attitude over the phone from John and him telling me he was addressing a hundred other Roofing problems It pretty obvious his knowledge and expertise wasn't what I thought it was. I mean it took him over 3 days to get back to me and that's only because we had to call him again. All I'm saying is I would never use his service ever again. DePietro Roofing just replaced the roof in my 1920 Colonial home. John and his staff were great throughout the process, which was done very quickly, I might add. The shingles showed up at my house more than a week earlier than I thought and I received a call early the next week to schedule the job. The crew was scheduled to arrive at 7:00 a.m. and they were there at 7:00 a.m. on the button. It was a brutally hot and humid day but they worked the entire day and finished the job by 4:30 p.m. They cleaned the yard so that you wouldn't know they had been there and even pulled down an old satellite dish and discarded it for me. I can't say enough with how pleased I was with DePietro Roofing - from a transparent quote through finish, they were awesome! I would definitely recommend!!! read more

To be clear: This review contains information about why I chose not to hire DePietro Roofing, Inc. I cannot speak to the actual quality of their work, just their process for quoting jobs. Requested a quote on my roof, and indicated when I would be available to have someone come out and look at the job, as we contacted several companies for quotes regarding our roof. Per the website, it was stated that someone would be in touch in around 24 hours. I don't hear anything from them, no response from the company--- I figured they were busy and decided to leave them out of consideration-- this is not my issue. A week after I contacted them, someone came to my home, unannounced and apparently walked my property, leaving me samples and a "detailed quote" for my job. I wasn't home, I know they came because of cameras I have installed around my property. I found this to be completely unprofessional. How can you be aware of what I am looking for or what is required without having a conversation? Not to mention being on my property without my permission or knowledge. When I thanked them for the quote but indicated I didn't appreciate them being on my property without my knowledge or consent I was told that they were dealing with a covid outbreak the week before and that I should appreciate that they gave me such a detailed quote. I don't care if they had the lowest price in town, I would never hire a company that lacks professionalism or ownership when they're called out for shady practices. If they're willing to inspect a property without a homeowners knowledge to give a "detailed quote" imagine what they'd do when you are aware that they're on your property. read more

Worst experience ever! Added 2000 dollars on day of but never said they may have to add in wood. Called 9pm night before. They installed Ripped shingles, left nails in from of house showing, did filler half way down in back, broke my patio table, trampled my flowers, broke a screen, nails all over the yard. Had to call another company to assess their gross errors. Came multiple times to my home no notice like a shake down for money. Tried to initially say they weren't blatant errors until I said another roofing company and lawyer are involved. The foreman made jokes to my sister about the guys not working safety equipment. We moved to Coventry about two years ago. Shortly after moving into our home we noticed a small leak in our living room ceiling and based off of Yelp reviews we decided to call DePietro Roofing. DePietro responded quickly and after their analysis determined that it was because the boot around a vent pipe was old and required replacement. They also stated that the roof which was 20 years old at the time required replacement. Since the house inspection stated that the roof was still in good condition, with a recommended replacement in 2-3 years we decided to just have the boot replaced. According to DePietro they replaced the boot which cost approximately $200. A year later we noticed a leak in the same location so I called and talked to the owner of DePietro and explained the situation and he said they would fix it. A team from DePietro spent about 10 minutes on the roof and said they fixed it and a few days later we received a bill for roughly $150. I called DePietro and talked to the owner and he said the bill was a mistake and that he recommended we replace the roof. I asked if the boot had failed and he avoided the question by saying the leak was fixed. My father in law visited a few days later and I explained to him what had happened and he told me that if DePietro had replaced the boot it would be noticeable, we looked and it looked like nothing had been done. I called another roofer to inspect the roof and the boot. The roofer recommended a roof replacement within a year and informed me that the boot was never replaced and DePietro had just put some spray foam around the vent pipe! I called because I needed someone to take a look at a leaking roof, their website clearly states they do roof repairs. Someone came to the house, said they knocked on the door and left. I called a few hours later and he said, there was nobody home, (which I was, and was waiting) and the roof looked newer. I asked "do you want to look at the roof?' he stated "NO" and said they don't do repairs. I guess they don't need the business, which I would have given them if I needed a new roof. After speaking to several other roofing companies, and not feeling comfortable, I happened to be home on vacation while DePietro Roofing was doing my next door neighbor's house...and I was impressed enough to ask their sales person to provide me a quote to do my roof. The quote was received the same day we spoke, the quote was very reasonable, they has a nice selection of roofing colors to choose from and the work was performed sooner than expected. ...and best of all, I never felt pressured in any way. I will also add, that the people working on my home took great care to ensure my landscaping and flowers were protected, they started their work day promptly at 7:00 am and they were complete professionals from start to clean-up.
