It states they have wifi which is not true. You're in bfe and crappy service and non existent wifi. It is super dusty because you're on a gravel/dirt lot. It was mostly men that worked on the oil rigs. I am a single female. I never felt unsafe here. There is nothing in the cabin other than beds, linen for them, a TV, dresser and 2 burner stove top. So bring everything else. I did laundry a few times while I was here and never had to wait until the last time when people had just left their laundry all day. Typically there are 2 washers broken and a dryer that is not worth a damn. They provided snacks and water in the main office. They were out of snacks for some reason the last two weeks I was there they had put a sign up saying they wouldn't have any for a few weeks.

They invite everyone out at night to meet, great, converse, and socialize with one another. They have wonderful cabins and RVs for rent, no two are the same. The come supplied with everything you need except food and clothing (bring your own). The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet. It is a pet and kid friendly environment. This is a beautiful oasis in the middle of the West Texas desert. With all the places I visit and stay, this is top of my list. I recommend a couple of nights stay and when I'm back in the area for a while, I will stay again. By the way, the cabin I rented was only $90 (rounded up) a night. Very well priced.

Alex was immediately welcoming and really worked with us offering an older 5th wheel trailer available that could accommodate the four of us which was more comfortable than I'd thought it would be. The service he offers goes above and beyond other BnB's I've been in. He provided a tour of the grounds, laundry service, nice well maintained yard to relax in, two large refrigerators that could be utilized by all guests located in the main house. The main house is also well cared for, offers rooms with private bathrooms and regular rooms with a shared baths. Alex, or Luis his assistant, immediately take care of any of our needs making our stay stress free and enjoyable. Cindy and Alex are wonderful hosts! I'd definitely recommend The Vera House BNB!

At first I was nervous since I travel alone, but there's been no signs of crime here, everyone is pretty friendly. It's family owned, so that's nice, they a pretty approachable people. I really love that they offer a propane refill service here, so I'll call the front office and they will send a guy down to disconnect my tanks, refill them, and reconnect them, then just charge my card I have on file. They proceeded to say the boat ramp was closed. On a Tuesday? When the races aren't until Friday. What? Plus, THE BOAT RAMP IS OWNED BY THE CITY!!!. They had nothing blocking the ramp or any signage saying it was closed, which it's theirs anyways. The same thing happened to another guy shorty after I started fishing the docs. I had my dog with off the leash and of course here comes Karen saying to put a leash on my dog when we were in a fenced part. She proceeded to ask me if I was fishing the docs when I clearly had a pole in my hand and I simply replied "yea". She proceeded to tell me she owned the marina and docs. I proceeded to say "ok" then turned my head back to my pole slightly shaking my head a giggling. She proceeded to say "if you want to continue to get shitty I'll have you kicked out." There are no signs ANYWHERE that say the docks are private property or no fishing or to keep pets on a leash. This is outside the rv park so those rules may be different inside. Maybe spend some money and put up signage saying it's private property so people know. They definitely need to worry less about me and fix every dock. Some wobble terribly so you can easily fall in the lake, some have boards sticking up that people could trip over. One is completely missing a board so a child could easily step through and break their leg. I planned on buying minnows and beer and go launch at a different ramp and spend more money there during the boat races. However, I'll never spend another dime at that place. GOOOD JOB KAREN!!!!

Also, it was so cutely decorated, it made you just feel valued as a customer. I feel like the host really went the extra mile with this. The bed was extremely comfortable and my husband and I slept like a rock. The bathroom was large, and the host provided an ample supply of towels and rags which helped make the stay pleasant. Sometimes when you go and stay somewhere, they seem to be skimpy in this area and you're having to ask for more, but not here. They also have a swimming pool with a connecting hot tub that's available all year long. We did not take advantage of this, but may in the future. We were in and out a lot because of family, but it surely looked nice. The hostess is very nice and greeted us with a smile. We met her one time on our way in, and she just seemed like a very nice person. If you're going down to that area and need to get away, I'd consider going there. It is far enough away to give you privacy, yet close enough where you can drive into the city.

Received email on September 19 stated she was ready to send options. I responded I was ready for the information. Since then have not heard a word. No email, no quotes, no nothing. Not very good customer service, if you ask me.

Absolutely amazing stay! We booked a full hookup RV spot and everything worked flawlessly--no…read moreissues at all during setup. We stayed in a covered site while visiting my brother for a few days, and it was perfect. All the lots are gravel but easy to level with blocks, and each space was wide enough to extend all five of our slides comfortably. The clubhouse was a great bonus--fully equipped gym, a pool, and two hot tubs made for an extra relaxing experience. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and peaceful. Overall, a fantastic and stress-free stay. Highly recommend this spot!

its a nice park but when new management took over they will steal your stuff while you are at work…read more... i make 6 figures and want nothing from them whatsoever but when i was home sleeping my camera caught there park manager stealing a firearm from my truck. never once did i ask for anything back , just reported it to the police and moved tf on... i have been here for a total of 3 years with no issues until new management arrived.
