After contacting and meeting with a couple general contractors to get some house projects done, I…read moreended up choosing G and G Home Services aka Greg Greenspan, which was a personal referral to me by my Realtor and Home Inspector. Greg was very punctual, organized, and very detailed orientated the moment I first shook his hand. He came to my house with his portfolio binder containing an area to take notes, special area for pens/pencils, business cards, etc. This showed professionalism and how organized he is, which is something that's hard to find. I ended up choosing Greg because his quote came in around $500-1000 less than the other guys I contacted. We set a time and date for him to show up and left him our garage door opener so he can come and go while we were at work. We had him repair our living room floor (had bad water damage from moisture underneath), put in a new side access gate, repair and install a new side door and frame, and install a bathroom fan and light. What I liked about his work is his attention to detail. Everything was precise and done right, and not to mention, if something was bothering him, he went back and fixed it until he was pleased with the outcome of it. Another bonus was that he gave us options in parts and materials...letting us know the price differences and his own personal recommendations. In the end, he finished everything with in a week and only went $100 over the proposed price (we wanted to upgrade a few things). We couldn't be happier with the work, professionalism and price. Alvaro's tone, direct communication, and responsiveness, in combination with all the great reviews, made it an easy decision, Then, we met with his designer Marc at our home. We lacked kitchen storage and wanted more, and a coffee bar. We wanted to replace a granite topped breakfront with a wood top. Additionally, we needed a sizable bookcase for our office. Marc's got a great eye and even better ears - instead of choosing a trend or dictating what he thought, he carefully listened to our wants and goal of how we wanted the new elements to compliment, but not necessarily match, the existing decor. He understood our space and really guided us to a terrific design. The process was un-rushed and very collaborative. We went back and forth first with sketches, that then became photo-shopped realizations of the furniture in the room, and ultimately he presented architectural drawings that we then signed off on before construction. This is a family business that prides themselves on the craft of their product. Alvaro, his dad (a true master carpenter) and his brother did the construction and installation. They were thoughtful and as they installed and assembled, some things became apparent that we had not considered. It was all addressed with expertise and professionalism, wrapped in a true desire to make the best possible cabinetry for our home. Once done, their retoucher addressed every shadow of imperfection on site. Their finisher addressed the walls and outlets that were damaged by the removal of the granite and the changing of some electrical (which they also oversaw). You can not see a shadow of indication that what they created and installed, has not been there all along. I highly recommend Elites - we will be working with them again as well.
