I found Elite Baking because I needed something right away and she was all I could find locally, but I'm glad I did. I ordered a 50th Birthday cake and it turned out beautiful and delicious (we ordered marble). The only negative is that it was pricier than my normal go to baker. I would definitely recommend her for delicious cakes and will order from her again.

I wish I could give her 5 stars but unfortunately I can't. I ordered a cake and 4 dozen sports theme cake pops for my son's first birthday. Sent lots of photos of what I was expecting. The communication was great- and the cake was great..but ultimately I've decided to take a couple of stars off for the cake pops. They didn't look professional at all..and i was disappointed when I saw them. Several of them were even cracked...see pics. I've seen pics of her other work, and they look great so not sure what happened with my order. I wish she would have told me she couldn't do them instead of accepting my order.

Oh my goodness!!! These are the most amazing cupcakes I've ever seen. Easy order, communication, & pick up. I highly recommend Elite baking. She did a fantastic job with my son's birthday cake, dinosaur cupcakes, and dinosaur cake pops. Everyone at the party was amazed with the chocolate lava Dino cake. She went above and beyond my expectations. Everything was perfect and delicious. I have used several other bakeries and she is by far The best. She even gave us free, delicious brownies.

My gosh! On Thursday my brother told me he didn't get cupcakes for my nieces 18th bday dinner Sat. I contacted Elite Bakery as soon as they opened. The only request I had was red is my nieces favorite color and due to cost of the cupcakes I asked for half floral and half regular decorated. I got strawberry flavor. She finished the cupcakes before requested 2pm time. We were allllll blown away and the cake itself was delicious!!!! Service was above expectation!!! I'm so glad I found her on Yelp! We also got one vanilla with strawberry filling and that was delicious too!

I contacted Elite Baking at the very last minute, and she was incredibly accommodating and kind. She made cupcakes and a smash cake for my son's first birthday on short notice, and she truly was a lifesaver. The cupcakes tasted delicious, and the smash cake was absolutely perfect for my one-year-old. My family loved everything. I'm so grateful for the help and would definitely recommend her and use her services again.

Anu communicated with me well, and was very receptive to my specific design requests. My guests enjoyed the different flavors of cake/cupcakes including: carrot, chocolate peanut butter chip, strawberry, chocolate, and Hazelnut almond. The only suggestion would be to have the cupcake types labeled, although based on my selections, it was easy to tell which were which. The pricing was reasonable given the size of cakes ordered and design requests. We were able to get closer to 30 servings of cake out of each one. I would consider getting treats from Elite Baking again. A big plus for being available during the holiday season/end of year.

Anu made a unicorn cake, cupcakes, and cakepops for my daughter's birthday. Coordinating with her was super easy. I didn't give too much direction (just a unicorn cake and cupcakes/cakepops that were unicorn or same color as cake). I was blown away when she sent me pictures of final products before I picked it up. Her work has completely surpassed my expectation. The packaging was good too! The cake was well secured, cupcakes in a nice carry box, and cakepops secured in stand/carry box. And best of all, it tastes just as good as it looks. I highly recommend! read more

I'm so happy I came across Anusha's business. It was my mother's birthday this weekend and I searched everywhere to find a bakery during these difficult times that would make my mother's favorite - a lemon cake with raspberry filling and vanilla icing that also looked similar to a photograph I had found on Pinterest. I sent Anusha a message through Yelp and she replied instantly! For the safety of her customers, she stated that they are doing no contact pick up which was great. I had an amazing experience ordering a cake and some cake pops from Anusha! I emailed her on a Monday evening and she replied to me right away. I wanted to order a last minute cake for my baby shower and she was kind enough to make it with such short notice. Today I picked up a dozen birthday cake flavored macarons. French Macarons are my favorite dessert ever and I've had a ton of them, these by far have been my absolute favorite. Anu was very kind, professional, and kept me informed of all the indredients in case of allergies. These macarons were amazing, they had the perfect birthday cake flavor and sweetness. WOW!!! So good!!! She made 40 cupcakes (4 flavors) and 36 cookies (3 flavors) for my husbands birthday -- all were delicious! The guests raved about them. Even people who don't normally eat dessert, had 1 or 2! Anusha was super easy to work with -- very responsive. She answered my million questions! She even set-up the dessert table the party venue. My sister just turned 50 and wanted a pretty, elegant cake with flowers. Things got messed up and suddenly I became responsible for getting this cake in only only 4 days!! I didn't know what to do but then I remembered elite baking and the yummy coco bombs I had purchased at Christmas time. I reached out on a Sunday and was able to get this cake last minute. Literally the best cake I've ever had! I can't begin to explain how wonderful Anusha was through the whole process. I found her on fb and messaged her about needing a letter/initial cake for my small wedding reception. She showed me examples and I fell in love with her work! I sent her a picture of my wedding outfit and wanted the color scheme of the cake to match. I ordered my cake about a month in advance and on a weekly basis she touched base about my cake and showed me some examples of decorations she would be using. I was even able to have a big portion of a sample cake. It was absolutely delicious! I chose white cake with her delicious fresh made cream and crushed raspberries! She even made my niece her own mini cake included in the price because I had mentioned she had a nut allergy and the fresh made macarons had almond flour in them. All the guests went crazy over the cake and couldn't believe how delicious/moist/beautiful it was. She used fresh and edible flowers along with beautiful pearls and gold dust/edible gold for the cake. I asked to serve 40 people and we had a TON leftover which was great because everyone wanted to take some home. The price was so reasonable and almost half of what everyone else was charging me. Overall I had one of the best experiences ever and she was beyond kind. I'll definitely be ordering again, I'm beyond impressed. She made my special day even better! read more

Meet the Business Owner: Anusha S.

I am Anusha , the founder of Elite Baking. I baked my first gourmet cake 17 years ago. I felt bad about feeding my 1 year old son something that was made with a lot of food additives & preservatives and topped with ready-made icing. This inspired to me to bake and hand-ice a birthday cake using nothing but the finest ingredients. My passion for baking started on this day. Over the past several years, I have designed and made numerous custom cakes for family, friends and extended circle and gained a wealth of experience and confidence. Following on my dreams, I trained at San Francisco cooking school. I broadened my experience by working for a renowned bakery in San Francisco. I have also won a number of prestigious awards such as Contra Costa Cake & Sugar Art Society Novelty Cake and Contra Costa Cake & Sugar Art Society Cupcake. I founded Elite Baking when I moved to San Diego and still hold true to my original ethos of only using the highest quality ingredients.
