I'll admit, I was a little hesitant after reading the reviews since they seemed pretty split, half loved it and half didn't. But I decided to take a leap of faith, and I'm so glad I did. These are hands down some of the best cupcakes I've ever had! We tried the Tres Leches, Chocolate, Lemon, and Boston Cream. The Tres Leches was delicious, although I personally wish it had just a little more moisture. The Chocolate, Lemon, and Boston Cream, though? Every bite was rich, fresh, and full of flavor. If you're in San Diego and have a sweet tooth, this place is absolutely worth the stop. I'll definitely be back in July to try even more flavors!

People seemed to like them, I tried the lemon; There was a good lemon flavor, I wish it was a little more moist and a little less sweet. But I'm not much of a sweet tooth so maybe just me. I did like the chocolate chip cookie it was a good mixture of chewy and crispy and very tasty. Everyone seemed to enjoy them. I liked that it was easier than getting a cake; People could enjoy what flavor they wanted, no knives, forks or plates needed.

I could not recommend cupCAKES a La Yola enough!…read more The custom cake that was made for us was absolutely beautiful and exceeded all expectations, and I am a very particular person. The cake also TASTED AMAZING, truly a delicious cake that was not overly sweet and also had the perfect texture. Communication and ordering was very simple and easy, no long hold times on the phone or complicated order forms. Not to mention, that every employee who answers the phone is always very helpful and and sound very happy! Any needed accommodations were met and I really appreciated that. All of this to say, I will definitely order from Yola again and I recommend their service to anyone looking for a custom cake!

Super cutesy vibe and pretty delicate desserts. Almost reminds me of Nothing Bundt Cake interior with merch, candles, gifts, flowers. Things you can pick up last minute if you're on your way to a party. They offer cheesecake, cupcake, cookies, cakes and few others. Lattes, matcha, Hojicha, teas and lemonade. I got the earl gray lavender cupcake and black sesame matcha Hojicha drink and lychee hibiscus tea drink. The cupcake was moist, not too sweet, had some grittiness to it from the seeds. Tasted the earl gray and lavender combo. It was delicious, I could have ate the entire thing but had to share the other half. There were a few tables outside but none inside.

I'd been seeing Atelier Flour all over Instagram, so I decided to stop by and see what the hype was…read moreabout. I ordered the Island Girl Coffee, a macadamia latte, and asked for it less sweet. To me, it tasted very similar to a flavored hazelnut latte from Starbucks. Even with reduced sweetness, it was still sweeter than I prefer and had a slightly artificial flavor. If you enjoy flavored Starbucks-style coffee, you'll probably like it, but it's just not my personal preference. I actually didn't finish my drink because the flavor wasn't for me. That said, the cashier was very sweet, and the dessert display looked beautiful and tempting. While the coffee didn't win me over, I'd still come back to give their desserts a try since they looked much more appealing than the drink I ordered. Overall, a nice spot with friendly service, but next time I'll be skipping the flavored coffee and trying one of the desserts instead.

Looking forward to trying that one. I got all the types of bread to take home loaf, sandwich roll, sub and pretzel. I also purchased a few cupcakes to go. Tried the pretzel bread in the car. Wow! You would not know it was gluten free! They also do cakes to order. This is my new go to bakery!

Very cute inside, with some Strawberry Shortcake theme decor. Unfortunately first impression with the service was not very good. The person seemed very unenthusiastic, didn't smile, or seem welcoming. It's possible we just went on and off day. Since we were there I did get some of the mini cupcakes to try. One was a Snickers chocolate cupcake and the other was a Strawberry Shortcake cupcake. They both tasted good, but nothing really spectacular that I would have to go back for. The Snickers one tasted basically like a regular chocolate cupcake with a miniature sneaker placed on top. The Strawberry Shortcake one had some type of strawberry crumble on top which was good. I would say that was my favorite of the two. If you come on Tuesday they are $2 for the cupcakes, so something to keep in mind. They have a variety of other desserts and even drinks as well. They have caramel apples, Sundays, different cakes, Etc. If you're already in the mall it might be worth the quick peek to see if anything appeals to you. If anything just for a few cute photo ops.

The pesto spread was good though. It was creamy and the artisan bread it was served had great variety. Ambiance: 5/5 This place is such super cute. When you walk in, the desserts all look super appetizing. The seating areas are super cute and the floral decor are stunning. Service: 5/5 It is an order then sit down establishment.
