I have used Elite Auto Body three times now and they have been amazing to deal with every time. Not only have they done great work with my car, but they are also extremely friendly and professional (Donny is just great!) The fact that they always detail cars when working on them is another reason that keeps bringing me back here. For those whose insurance doesn't cover car rental, they have a few cars they loan out which is really convenient and rare in that industry. All they require is for you to refill the gas! Overall, a great shop. It's location is slightly remote but worth the drive. Coming to Elite Auto Body was the best choice I could have made. I was looking for a good family-owned body shop that had great reviews and I am so glad I found this place. I called in this morning and Kevin scheduled me in for an afternoon appointment. He was so accommodating even when I was running a bit late. When I got here for a side swipe estimate, Steve took my car back and told me he would get out as much as he could first. What we thought might be a scratch thankfully turned out to be a paint transfer from the car that swiped me. He was able to get everything off and I left with my car good as new at no charge! As someone who moved to NC 2 years ago, I was unfamiliar with the body shops in the area and worried that I would have to wait long or pay a lot at a commercial body shop, but the team at Elite was wonderful and put all my fears aside. The previous review by Mia C. is spot on. EAB is a family owned business with Kevin (the owner) and his daughter Jessica running the front office with Donny. They are seriously some of the friendliest people we've met since moving out here. Honest, honest, honest - completely transparent and upfront on EVERYTHING. So....we found ourselves in the limbo land of insurance points and increased insurance rates due to a dodgy little tree and our 3 year old Subie. Having talked to our insurance agent, we quickly realized that the dealer quote I had gotten earlier in the day wasn't going to cut it - at the very least, resulting in a 25% increase in rates over the next 3 years. *insert game show "gong" sound....plus sad trombone noise* Fortunately (or unfortunately given the situation) EAB came highly recommended by my agent. Having dealt with insurance recommended body shops before, I was highly skeptical. However from start to finish, Kevin and his crew were completely upfront on the whole process and quick to dispel any doubts I had going into this while still coming in under other repair shops. For starters, you schedule an appointment for your estimate. They recommend around 30 minutes. For our car, it was something more like 45 minutes *BUT* only b/c Kevin took the time to explain the whole process to me and then proceeded to show me his entire shop and a couple of other cars with similar jobs to ours at various stages along the process. What impressed me most was how spotless and clean the shop was....from the bake room where they paint the cars to the front reception office. Nothing is left to doubt...and if you have any questions, he answers them - not in a condescending tone, but more for you and I to understand the process of what he and his shop can accomplish. In the end, our job came in under the dealer's estimate (almost $600 less) and within $50 of the estimate he provided as well as on time as he promised (4 days). Service is only part of the game, but the work they do comes with a lifetime warranty for the ownership of the car. While body work and painting is always tricky, they do paint matching (spectrophotomer) as well as blending in the nearby panels to give it a more natural and seamless match to the existing color. It's never 100%, but personally I couldn't tell any difference on the rear driver's side door panel. FWIW on our car, they were able to perform a 3 coat paint job to achieve that "pearl" finish of the original. All in all, a great group of people to work with who stand behind their work and still come out much lower than some of the other body shops around the area. I wouldn't hesitate to come out this far again if I *ever* had body work needed for any of our cars. FWIW, I did check them out on the BBB site and they do have an A+ rating. The one slight caveat/demerit is that these guys are *really* far out (distance wise, not in a psychedelic way)....even for the CH area. You literally go past University Lake and for what feels like miles past....but in reality, it only takes 15-20 minutes to get there from the Franklin St/N. Elliott intersection (well worth the drive for the service and attention to detail you get here). 5 easy stars to shout out! read more

Straight up good people. I think they have enough work where they don't need to get you to do more than you need. They temporarily shored up my bumper with duct tape to make it at least drivable for a little while. Their estimate was detailed and comprehensive. No pressure. They do a good job, don't compromise and charge accordingly. Just good folks who want to be a good resource for their community. read more

The nicest and friendliest spot you ever did have to take your car to. I first went to Elite several years ago when I had to get a door repaired on the low before my parents found the dent. The people here are incredibly patient and thorough, and I am so relieved they are still around so many years later. After my recent bad experience at a body shop in Durham, I appreciate their impeccable service all the more. Prices are comparable, if not slightly lower than others more inside city limits. I was so incredibly sad when in a haze of morning tiredness I managed to scrape the side of my care against the bumper of another car in the parking lot. Fortunately the other car was undamaged... I was not so lucky however and ended up with some nice scrapes in the side of my car around the rear wheel. I called to set up an appraisal appointment and they managed to get me in the same day. When I showed up, they took one look at the car and wanted to try buffing it out before proceeding. Less than 15 minutes later, and my car looks almost totally healed! Not only did they not try to pressure me into a more expensive option, they declined to even accept payment for the buffing! Now you really have to get close and carefully examine the car to even know something happened. I decided to go to Elite Auto Body in large part because of the reviews already on Yelp, but man was I still blown away by the quality of service, friendless, and honestly I received. Cars are such an expensive investment, don't mess around with who works on them. I can't stress enough how worth the drive it is to come to these guys, even if you don't live super close. I wish yelp had a six star option... these guys would deserve it. read more

I picked up my car 6/8/16. I paid for the work in full. The left lower front valance had a spot that was missed. Grey area. I was told I would be contacted to bring it in to have the spot painted that was missed. I waited 5 weeks and never heard from anyone at Elite and sent an email. I was called 7/14/15 after receiving the email to apologize and they said they would call me when he had a spot. He hadn't had a spot open yet. He didn't ask me to call him to set anything up but would call back when he could fit me in. Another 5 weeks pass by with no call or email from Elite. So it's now over 10 weeks since I paid in full for the repair and they forgot to paint part of the repair. I have been contacted 1 time after my email at 5 weeks. This is my only experience with Elite auto body. I mistakenly paid in full before looking at the car. I'm speechless at the lack of customer service, communication, and professionalism Elite Autobody has displayed. I advised them I would have the spot repaired by another Autobody shop. Brought my SUV in for a damaged passenger side. The owner was friendly and did the estimate, explained all the repairs he would need to make, and the process for repainting the vehicle. He gave me the date for drop off and when it would likely be finished. A few helpful things included arranging for Enterprise to pick up car owners after drop off, they cleaned the car, and communicated when the car was estimated to be ready for pick up. I called before pick up and asked if they could look in the car for some missing toys that my son had been asking about and they graciously did me the favor. I recently had some major body work done at this shop. The staff was amazing and would call me with updates on my vehicle. They also dealt with the insurance for me. When my car was ready, the owner picked me up and took me to the shop. They lead me through the work that was done and provided me with a warranty for the work. Don't trust these guys. I went to this body shop to get the dent in the hood of my car checked out, they gave me an estimate of about 2500 and included such items as the clips to hold a tarp while they painted and other nonsense. Again, don't trust these guys. If you do go here for an estimate, at least also drive to KNS in Carrboro for an estimate as well. It doesn't look like much, but my car looks brand new and it costs about 600 dollars. A hell of a lot cheaper than 2500. read more

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Elite Auto Body! They did everything promptly, kept me informed and my truck looks fabulous - good as new. They did an estimate and had it faxed to my insurance before I could even get home. They followed up, promptly made me an appointment to get the work done and came in at exactly what they quoted - no add ons or extras. I am so pleased with the work - looks good as new - the car was clean and perfect when I picked it up. When I asked my mechanic who I should use - he said well there are two I recommend one that will get it done if you are trying to save money and not looking for perfect and one that will get it done right but may be a little higher. I absolutely said - I want it done right so off to Elite I went. I honestly don't think they are higher - just charge what the job will cost and it was right in line with my insurance. If I could I would give them not 10 but 20 stars!!! There aren't enough positive adjectives to describe how awesome these folks are. I paid for my repair "out of pocket" and I believe Kevin the owner went out of his way to make sure I was well taken care of - I appreciate that. I was treated professionally and everyone there was experienced, friendly and helpful. My vehicle is nearly new and has a somewhat special paint requiring extra steps in the paint process (that I was unaware of). Other places that gave me estimates (at basically the same price) had NO idea that my paint was a special process paint! Elite was the ONLY shop that had that critical knowledge. Dodged a bullet on that one. Regarding the quality of their work, let me first tell you I am the guy that finds flaws that NO ONE would ever notice or care about (except maybe Kevin). When I picked up my car I was totally blown away by the fact that somehow they made my vehicle look BETTER than new! The repair and paint match were flawless. In addition to the over the top detailing (inside and out), they took care of a number nicks and scrapes that came from street parking in Chicago. What more could you ask for? Elite may be a tad out of the way, but if you have a nice car that you want to keep looking nice - this is the ONLY place to go! Exceptional work! Well organized and a seamless experience! This is the 2nd time I've used Elite and both experiences could not have been better. I made the mistake of not having rental coverage on my policy and was thrilled to have them provide me with a rental car at no expense while my 2014 Limited 4 Runner was being repaired. Out of pocket or through insurance I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. The previous body work I had completed by Elite was in 2005 on another 4 Runner. I still have the car and you would never know today that there was damage to it 12 years ago. Having read all the reviews here I can't help but think "Noah" must have a relationship with another body shop and is intentionally trying to slag their competition. I'm not sure this is the case but if Elite were more expensive it's because the work is superior....and I'm 100% ok with having the best when it comes to something like this.
