We agreed to pay him 50% up front and 50% after the job (in writing). He called the night before he was supposed to do the project and demanded he needed $6k or he wouldn't do the job. I didn't feel comfortable giving him that so he didn't do the job. Absolutely do not hire this person! It's pretty obvious after speaking with him for a couple of minutes. Despite a written agreement, he demanded full payment upfront and eventually stopped showing up. He runs a one-man shop with zero professional experience or dedication. The work he actually attempted was a disaster: the audio was never connected, all wiring had no ends, a total unorganized mess. Worst of all, I paid him to install cameras, only to find he left them disconnected; the wires were spliced and didn't even terminate at the DVR where they were supposed to connect. He screwed my entire project, and I had to go through an enormous ordeal to find someone else to fix his unfinished job. He is a scam artist. Terrible Review of Elite Audio Visual - Naples, FL I hired Elite Audio Visual of Naples, FL, Mr. Barry Vaille, to install a home theater system with two projectors a night-view security camera and smart bulbs, motion sensors, or automated switches in my residence. What was supposed to be a straightforward and professional installation turned into one of the most frustrating contractor experiences I've ever had. At the beginning, Barry presented himself as knowledgeable and experienced in high-end audio-visual installations. Based on his assurances, I agreed to move forward and paid him for the complete system and installation. Unfortunately, only about half of the work was ever completed, and what was done has been riddled with malfunctions and poor workmanship from the start. The home theater system and both projectors never worked as promised -- video cuts out, sound is inconsistent, and the system constantly loses connection. The projector alignment and calibration were never properly set up, and despite multiple attempts to reach Barry to have these issues corrected, he ignored my requests for correction. The night-view camera was someone else's used camera out of shopping bag, leaving me with an incomplete and unreliable setup. The smart light bulbs flicker, motion sensors are always in red, and the auto switches fell off the wall. In short, I paid for a fully functioning home theater and an auto system and was left with a non-functional mess. Barry collected payment and then disappeared without completing the job or offering any follow-up service. His lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability has been shocking, especially for a small little company claiming to provide premium home-automation services. At this point, I will be filing a formal complaint with the Lee County Prosecutor's Office and other relevant consumer-protection authorities to recover my losses and report this pattern of deceptive and incomplete work by this little man. If you are considering hiring Elite Audio Visual or Barry Vaille for any smart-home installation, be extremely cautious. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare -- expensive equipment that doesn't work, a job left unfinished, and zero customer support once payment was received. Barry Vaill runs a one-man shop, with zero experience. Barry was not dedicated to the job, and he repeatedly showed up without any communication or schedule confirmation, which made the process stressful and unpredictable. On the technical side, several issues were left incomplete. The audio system was never calibrated properly, leaving inconsistent sound throughout the space. Wiring was not organized or optimized, with visible cables and loose connections that should have been addressed. The TV and equipment were installed without proper integration, and simple functions--like switching inputs or using the remote--didn't work the way they should. When I tried to get updates or ask for corrections, I often felt ignored or brushed off. For a premium-priced service, the lack of professionalism, reliability, and follow-through was very disappointing. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend one man Barry or Elite Audio Video. Barry did a decent job of installing a pop-up tv mechanism to replace an old one. In the process, he (or his assistant) gouged a hole in our bed compartment that held the mechanism. He tried to hide the damage by standing in front of the gouge while demonstrating the operation of the lift system. After I showed he and his assistant out of my condo, I saw the damage. I caught Barry before they left and confronted him about the damage. He said the "scratch" could easily be fixed. A scratch? I've attached photos showing that you can see through the damaged area. How he did this damage is beyond me. Was he or his assistant drunk or drugged? Barry had the "best" furniture refinisher come and look at the damage. The refinisher said the damage could not be easily be fixed without a costly repair at his shop. This story goes on for months with Barry not resolving the issue by returning my bed to its pre-Barry condition. Barry Vaill has limited technical skills and is lacking in both honesty and integrity. I should have looked him up on Yelp before employing him. Barry Vaill should be prevented from working in any business. read more

We decided to install a Sonos system here in Florida. We called Barry at Elite and he immediately responded to my call and we had an appointment within a week. He came with the equipment that we discussed and installed it. We needed upgrade in our WIFI as well as a few other upgrades for the system. Within two weeks from our first call everything was complete and we now have an amazing music system. Very responsive, professional and knowledgeable. I will be only using them in the future for any A/V needs. read more

I bought/built a new home and was going to order several TV sets on Amazon or purchase at Costco and then hire an installer. I needed someone with expertise since the builder did not put any wood boards behind drywall. I also needed an outdoor TV hung with a special bracket to attach to the back of the house. I didn't think this was something I wanted any "geek squad" to do. I called Elite and had some discussions about what job would take. They also beat Amazon prices on every tv I was going to buy, including a really nice Seura outdoor TV and a 77" Sony OLED. Everything was installed professionally and all products were explained and set for optimum sound quality in each room. I know these guys are busy, but it's worth it to wait a day or two to make sure your job is done well in a very professional manner. If I have more video or even audio needs, these guys are the first people I'd call. read more
