I saw all the high ratings on multiple platforms (and my friend also recommended this place) so I decided to drop in for dinner after visiting Seara Pastry & Bakery nearby for a Yelp Elite event. The unit is very cozy. I talked to the guy on his laptop (presumably the owner) and asked him to hit me with a large plate of chicken shawarma and he hooked me up with the BIGGEST portion. Your boi ate GOOD. There was a ton of chicken and the meat was juicy. I also told him to add all the housemade sauces to my order. My plate came w/ 3 sides. I opted for pasta salad, some kind of herb salad and potatoes. The sides were bright, punchy and acidic which helped to cut back on the richness of the meat. I see some reviewers saying the sides were too salty or sour, but I happened to think there was a perfect balance on my taste buds (I'm on of those guys who loves pickles w/ his shawarma). If the potatoes were warm/hot I do think it would elevate their taste even more as they were kinda cold but that's a pretty much a nitpick (and I'm guessing the potatoes are supposed to be served cold?). My food was ready super fast and the portions are massive! For $15 I definitely felt like I got excellent quality and value. I'll definitely be back in the future when I'm in the area! P.S. The parking lot is wonky. You'll have to circle around the building to get to it as the closest entrance is actually a one-way exit.

My family and I were looking for a quick place to get some lunch and found this on yelp. we haven't had Mediterranean food in a while so we were excited to eat some. Once we arrived we saw that they were having a student special for a Shawarma pita with a drink for $6 CAD, which was pretty affordable. We also got a beef kebab plate ($14) and a chicken Shawarma plate ($13). Each plate comes with rice and three salad selections. We got the Tabooleh salad, potato salad, and Quinoa Salad. Portions were super generous but personally, I could go without the salad sides. Their sauces were super tasty though, and we loved all of them! The guy working was also very nice and generous with portions and was very informative about their menu. Food came out pretty fresh and the proteins had good flavor. There is also indoor dining available or you can just take to go. It wasn't busy at all when we went for a late lunch, but truly the quality isn't too bad for an affordable meal.

Love the portions and value that you get! Appreciate the spread of sides to choose from - which you can get 3. The flavours are personally a bit on the saltier side for me but I would love to try the other items and enjoy a coffee next time. Give them a try today and let me know what you think!

My friend and I were missing Turkish food after our trip to Turkey last year so we googled for a Turkish place nearby and I'm so glad to have come across this place! The owner(?) was very friendly and the food was amazing, portion size was large (my friend and I shared one large chicken shawarma plate and it was just the right amount!). The store itself was cozy and clean.

Been wanting to visit this place for years and on multiple occasions. Finally had the chance to on a Sunday afternoon. Was excited to finally try this place however it seemed mediocre from what I seen in pictures and heard from others. Maybe I was unlucky but it was interesting to see how the meat was lightly warmed up and the salads were nearly done. The flavour was lacking and portion was smaller than what I seen. Overall I enjoyed the meal but expected much better. I would definitely give this place a try again in the future!

An amazing hidden gem just 5 minutes from Canada's Wonderland and 6 minutes from Vaughan Mills! This place is seriously delicious. I had Eli's bookmarked for the next time we were in the area, and glad we finally made it. After a morning of shopping, we definitely worked up our appetites! The place is a bit tricky to find as Google street view showed a bunch of townhouses and parking garages, but that is where you want to be! There is a small plaza perpendicular to the townhouse complex where you can park. Walk around to the front of the plaza (Toyota dealership is right across the street), and you'll be at Eli's Table. The inside is a lot larger than it appears with ample seating, an open kitchen and an extensive menu written on huge blackboard walls. Abdul is the owner and he does it all. He was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the large chicken shawarma plate and large chicken souvlaki plate. I thought I heard wrong when Abdul said the plates include rice, potatoes and three types of salad! The salads looked very fresh and healthy. There were several to choose from including tabbouleh, fatoush, pasta, potato, coleslaw, broccoli and bulgar. We chose three different ones each, so we could sample them. Everything is homemade and super fresh. Eli is from Lebanon and has been in Canada since he was a toddler. He has over 17 years' experience in the food industry. He prides himself on offering fresh and healthy food based on the Mediterranean diet. We were surprised to find the food seasoned perfectly, not overly salty, greasy, garlicky or acidic. Normally when we eat this type of food, we're guzzling water all night long, and our tongues feel like the desert from the high sodium content, but not this time! This is quite rare when dining out! Abdul said he has an open kitchen to show everyone how serious he takes food preparation. He also mentioned cutting his own chicken breasts and beef tenderloin, so I was already thinking I'll have to try the beef plate next time! * Open 7 days a week from 11 am - 10 pm

Literally writing this review minutes after demolishing our food. A bit of background, 8 years ago I used to work in Yorkville (bay/bloor) and used to buy the Mediterranean lunches from Xtreme Taste. They closed down a few years ago and I have craved it ever since. After doing some research I found out that they opened up Eli's table which had the same food as XtremeTaste and more! I bought two small platters-- one chicken souvlaki and one beef kebab. Prices are amazing, I can't believe it was so cheap!! You get rice, potatoes, and two salads. Omg it tasted just like how I remember it, if not better!! The son actually runs the place now and he was very friendly and very personable. I honestly can't wait to eat it again!! Too bad I live so far!!! Oh and also everything was cooked fresh to order!

Stopped by for lunch during a trip to Wonderland and this place made my day so much better! The owner was suuuper friendly and welcoming. They make everything fresh at order, which was unexpected and an amazing bonus. Our meal tasted so homemade and fresh! We got two small plates, chicken souvlaki and beef kafta. The beef was so flavourful. It comes with potatoes, rice, and two side salads. We tried the pasta, fatoush, kale, and tabouli salads which were all very delicious. The garlic sauce and hummus was really nice with the meat. A small plate is more than enough for one person. We also tried the falafel which has a crispy outside! The inside of the restaurant is also homey with paintings on the walls. There's lots of seating but most people took their orders to go. A small plate is $8 and a regular plate is $10. It was a really good deal for the amount you get. I would love to come back another day for take out or if I'm ever in the area again.

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5…read moreAmbiance: 4/5 Food: We had our office holiday dinner here and 15 people attended. We did a set menu which had 3 courses. The first course was Labneh with bread, hummus, & beef tartare. Second course was Lamb pide & pear salad. Third course was grilled branzino, middle eastern fried chicken, black truffle rice, and thrice cooked fries. Then there was dessert which was chocolate mousse cake & baklava. Because of my many food allergies the main server for our table was very attentive & specific in asking me what I wanted as modifications. For example I got a wagyu beef pide instead of the lamb. Every dish was really delicious, presented well & quite filling. I couldn't eat all of the food. Though I tried almost everything. Service: The pacing of the dishes was quite masterful. They really paid attention to when the food was going to come out. As I mentioned above the main server was very attentive to my food allergies. I really appreciated that as some restaurants aren't as attentive. The food was served family style so everyone could take what they wanted from the serving dishes. The dishes were served in little bowls along the tables with each bowl serving about 4 people. We had asked for one long table so it was a little snug. But we made it work. Ambiance: For dinner the lighting of the space is really dim. LOL. I would have appreciated just a little bit more light. The restaurant is in an old building so to use the washroom you had to go down two flights of stairs. The dining area is small also. But it's a pretty space. As mentioned above we asked for one long table to seat 15 people. I was expecting square tables but it was a bunch of small round tables pushed together. So the tables were really crowded with food from all the dishes. But the servers made sure to take empty serving dishes away as soon as possible. The music was a little loud for me so I had to yell to be heard. The place was packed though. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food, the service & atmosphere. The restaurant is close to Roy Thompson Hall & the other theatres nearby so it's a convenient location as well. It's too bad this place is only open for dinner. I would have loved to see how they would operate a lunch time service. In any case, Byblos was amazing. I would come back here again to try other dishes! Note: Some of my pics of the main dishes didn't turn out so it's mostly desserts that are pictures

Some reviewers complained about the loudness, but, compared to many other downtown locations, Landwers was a medium level of noise, and we were able to converse. It was not excessively busy, but if you are set on eating here, then make a reservation. I finally tried the Sinia Kebab, and it was tremendously good! It was also huge, and I had to take half of it home with me. The focaccia bread is excellent, and serves as a sort of bowl for this deconstructed kebab. My husband had his usual Cobb Salad, which he thinks is particularly well done at Landwer's. Our other dining companion had schnitzel, which came with some angel hair pasta. He enjoyed it very much. Service is, as I said above, "relaxed". If you are planning to see a concert or show afterwards, then plan ample time to allow the relaxed service to unfold (a.k.a this is not fast food!!) We had a 6:00 reservation, and we were able to make our 7:30 concert time with about 10 minutes to spare. The University location is conveniently located near Thompson Hall, the subway, and Union Station (Via Rail and Go).

It's the details that make it stand out, the attention to detail and the care when serving and presenting the food. Food 4.5/5 Went with the lunch menu (great value with an appetizer and main). Quality is consistent with what you'd expect from Milos: fresh, simple, and done properly. They're also mindful of time; if you mention you're on a tight schedule, they can accommodate a one-hour lunch without making it feel rushed. Had the salmon along with salmon tartare and the octopus. Good variety for the prix fixe lunch menu too. So far the best salmon tartare I've had in city.

If you're pressed for time, just let them know when you order - they'll plan to have you out within the hour, or they pick up the tab. I, on the other hand, was in no rush. The staff read the room, paced the meal accordingly, and let us linger comfortably. With four starters and eight mains to choose from (three with supplements), there's plenty of variety, though seafood clearly takes centre stage. I leaned fully into the sea and wasn't disappointed. The salmon tartare was surprisingly, with large chunks of fresh salmon tossed with herbs and finely minced red pepper, giving the dish a bright, meaty freshness. In the dead of winter, that first bite genuinely felt like sunshine - apologies for getting philosophical, but it really hit home. While crostini were scarce, every table receives a basket of freshly grilled bread and a wasteful pour of olive oil. Carb lovers don't worry, there's plenty to scoop up that tartare. The whole dorade royal grilled might sound exotic, but you've likely seen it elsewhere under its more familiar name: sea bream. At Milos, it arrives deboned and finished simply with olive oil, herbs, and capers. That said, if you're squeamish about bones, proceed with caution as the deboning accuracy seems to vary. My plate had only a couple stragglers, while my dining companion's fish had several lingering behind. The dish is simple, clean, and ideal for lunch, so it satisfies without tipping you into post-meal drowsiness. The steamed vegetables were overcooked, though that may appeal to those who prefer their cruciferous vegetables soft rather than crunchy. For anyone who wants to channel a bit of Don Draper energy without returning to work tipsy, Milos' 3oz lunch pours are a great idea. And if you decide to lean in just a little more, they can easily be doubled into a proper glass.

Unfortunately, they don't allow you to switch your carbs to a salad, thus forcing you to pay an additional $3, for a salad and yogurt. That works out to be almost $20 with a soda... a bit pricey given this is more of a take-out fast food joint. The food is alright. Pretty average, typical Persian food.
