We thought she had a neutral stance on medicating a child and could help us figure things out. I want to make this review as unbias as possible so people reading can make an informed decision: GOOD She saw us right away. She was the first person that nailed down what was the main problem with our child. She gave us additional information that helped us make changes in helping our child. NOT GOOD She didn't understand how to medicate.....she didn't understand how the medication affected the body! She wouldn't take any phone calls or emails...only appointments. She didn't give us any therapy options She didn't have any solutions to our childs problems NEUTRAL Didn't take insurance Wasn't empathetic (would have been nice if she was but we were more concerned about helping our child) Very abrasive (didn't matter if she was helping our child) FINAL COMMENTS Unfortunately, we still have not found a doctor that can help our child but we decided the only way to help our child is to read everything we can about what's wrong and come up with our own game plan to help our child. We are starting to see good results. My advise is to never give up in helping your child and always be learning what will work and what won't.

The doctor's front office person when I first start going there was a nightmare. She has a new…read moreperson now who is highly competent. Our area - actually the whole country - has a dire shortage of real psychiatrists and that is reflected in the wait times to get appointments etc. Dr Dresbach seems to be highly regarded in the medical community and she gets many referrals. I've had other doctors tell me her knowledge of psychiatric medications and treatments is amazing. Dr Dresbach is a very competent, compassionate professional, and not intimidating in the least unlike many in her profession. You get her full attention. She has helped me greatly when I have needed to change meds or make other changes.

On March 8th an appt was…read morescheduled to be seen by Dr. Dresbach via telehealth and all forms were filled out and dropped off promptly at the office. The appt was then canceled out of the blue. I had to call the office 3x times to figure out what was going to be told that the Dr had an emergency. Understanding that another appt was then rescheduled for the following week. Here we are today March 20th and again the assistant lied. Said she never scheduled the appt and that she would have called to confirm it. We confirmed the appt on Wednesday, March 15. I am not sure if this is the way business is conducted here and hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

This is a…read morehorrible place, especially for mental health, I had an appointment a month ago after talking to me for About five minutes the doctor told me that what I've been diagnosed with my entire life since I was a child was incorrect, which it's not. Then the appointment was over and we hung up and I just got a call today at 9:55 AM for an appointment that was never scheduled with me. Apparently I was gonna be seeing him every month but they never told me. And not see them it was on the phone I guess. So I called back at 10:35 AM To ask when my appointment today was because I didn't even know I had one and I got checked in at 9:55 AM And I was told my appointment for today was in between 10 AM and 12 noon. I never would've scheduled an appointment where I had to sit by my phone for two hours and wait for somebody to contact me, especially when it involves mental health issues. So I told them please don't contact me again. I'm gonna have to find another doctor. I have never been treated like this by a healthcare professional and this was my first time going to a place like this because I'm a four-year-old man and we don't like doing this stuff and this was my experience. I would highly recommend seeing somebody else if you're looking for real help or somebody that's more professional. It sucks that this was my first experience. And since I called them cause I didn't understand what was going on today cause nobody explained anything to me and the lady who checked me in and made my appointment for next month didn't give me any info and just hung up so I just called back to figure all this out and when I was told this, I said take me off the schedule. I don't wanna see you guys. This is ridiculous. None of this was explained to me. I didn't even know I had an appointment today cause I never made one and I definitely can't sit here for two hours. Waiting for a phone call. Apparently they do appointments like the cable company does. But anyways, the doctor called me right after I told him all of that, but I did not answer cause I'm not willing to deal with this place. I simply don't believe he said, "Like I said, you have a lot of baggage, " in front of other patients. It is so contrary to his nature. He IS forthright and he may have said it to you in private, but I'm sure not out of the blue, without qualification, as he is a calm, listening man, not given to rude obnoxious statements. As far as his wife, who runs the office, there's nothing that says she needs to be lovey dovey to patients. I've always found her to be professional and amiable. I can't speak to medications, other than to say whenever my medication was going to run out before my appointment, they always gave me the opportunity to visit their other office so I wouldn't run out. Not all people will click with all doctors, and I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but as I said, I have been seeing Dr. Patel for over 10 years, and your review is completely contrary to my own.

My intake appointment took the full hour in which we reviewed my history, symptoms, and more. He left no stone unturned. The front office clerk, an older woman, definitely wasn't the most pleasant person, but I don't mind seeing as Dr. Patel is pretty great.
