I've been a patient of Dr. Elihu for over 15 years and consider her an excellent physician. With my 45 years of experience in the medical field, I can confidently say she stands out. Dr. Elihu is a great listener who never pressures patients into anything they are uncomfortable with. She is intelligent, caring, and personable. I highly recommend her, and I'm not easily impressed. I can honestly say I have not had any problems with any of the other office staff (nurses, receptionists, or billing). Two years ago, I had planned to see Dr. Nadia Elihu, but I would have had to wait 4 months out. I was in need for immediate medical attention and was offered to see PA-Keri Park. I have been under the care of PA-Keri Park since then. Keri have always made me feel comfortable and I have never felt that our visits were rushed. She is knowledgeable, professional and sincere. I find her medical advices very helpful for my specific concerns. I've encountered many medical assistants across several visits at this office. I apologize for not remembering their names, however, they have all been very friendly, including one I met today, Adriana. I've been seeing Dr Elihu for years. I hurt my knee in Jan of 2023. She said it was a sprain but if it didn't get better she would order an MRI. When it didn't get better I called for an MRI and was told NO by her female medical assistant (first initial was M as I recall). I contacted the office again and asked to get a referral to an orthopedist. I was told NO by the female medical assistant. I called again about the MRI and the orthopedist referral and was told NO by the same RUDE medical assistant!!! I told her that I am 60 and in a lot of pain, work full/time on my feet and need help. I was almost crying. Still NO. Finally, I ordered and paid cash for my own MRI which showed multiple problems!!!!! I sent it to Dr Elihu's office via the portal and was finally sent the referral for the orthopedist with no comment much less an apology!!!. Now it's August, 2023, and the orthopedic doctor said my knee has so many issues (including the January fracture not healing correctly) that I now have to get a knee replacement on the 23rd!!!! This is substandard care by Dr Elihu and her medical assistant. Her medical assistants have never been good, but this one is a new low. Sadly I cannot recommend Dr Elihu. read more

I am shocked by Nadia's unprofessionalism during my appointment today. From her laughing at me throughout the appointment as I'm answering very personal questions to her ultimately telling me that I don't care about anyone but myself as I'm trying to reason with her about the necessity of a test she wants to perform on me that I told her I am uncomfortable with. I should have found another doctor months ago when I requested a basic prescription refill and they told me I have to come in and get this unrelated test done in order to get the refill. They seem to care more about billing for unnecessary visits/tests than their patients' well being. Office manager was no help, so I've escalated this matter to corporate and would advise others to do so as well. I hope no other patient has to ever experience the humiliation and frustration I just went through. read more

Just filed a grievance with my insurance company about the lack of professionalism on the part of the office staff here. Can't say anything about the doctor yet. I called in February to make an annual check up appointment and her first available appointment is August 2. But since I needed refills on my prescriptions I was told I could see a PA- Dr Park. Before giving me my prescriptions I needed lab work done. I got my labs done and hadn't heard anything so I called the office a week after and they said I wasn't a patient there. Had to argue with them and they finally saw that I had seen Dr Park. They would call in my 3 RXs. Went to CVS the next day and they only had 2. Called the office and they would let the doctor know. I went to CVS again and they didn't have my RX. Called the office again. They sent it to the wrong CVS. Not sure how they sent the first 2 to the right CVS and the 3rd to a different CVS. It took about 6 weeks to finally get my prescriptions and I was without one for a month. Now I call to schedule my mammogram and they don't have the doctors orders but I have a hard copy but that isn't sufficient. I can't an appointment until Dr. Elihu's office send them the orders but no one can call me back when that will be. I just have to keep calling. ‍ read more

Called her office and scheduled an appointment, when I got there they said doctor is not working today!!!! And her assistants are here to help. I said why you haven't told me if she is not working today. That's totally weird and unprofessional behavior from them. My husband and I have gone to Dr Elihu for over 12 years. I enjoy her and think she does a great job - when you get to see her. However, I've only been able to get in to see her for annual physicals. Any other time I needed treatment/care/follow up I've always had to see someone else in her office. Her office staff is incredibly rude. There's a handful of nice people there, unfortunately the rude ones outweigh them. They cut you off mid sentence and left me feeling they were only hearing to form a response instead of listening to what's being said. I don't need rude and argumentative from my doctor's office. It's not once or twice, it's almost every time & I simply shouldn't have waited so long to change doctors. Then the office merged or was purchased - I'm not sure - but they got worse since then and I just can't do it anymore. Dr Elihu is great and she does take the time to see you and you're not rushed. It's very unfortunate that her office is ran the way that it is. The sad thing is, I don't think anyone cares. read more

Dr Elihu has been my doctor for 8 years and she is great. My issue is with the new office model. I am still waiting two weeks after my appointment for a pre approval on CT heart scan. I am told that they are short of staff. I find this entirely unacceptable. read more

Dr. Elihu has been my family physician for almost 2 years now. She is a highly experienced pulmonary & internal medicine specialist, who has enough patience to listen to what you're saying, and analyze carefully all symptoms, instead of turning a blind eye and automatically assuming that you are totally ignorant- which is unfortunately a common attitude among physicians these days. Dr. Elihu has been my Primary Care Physician for well over 10 years. Every time I see her she is 100% there for me. Her concern is the patient and how to help them (me). She is direct (not rude) with you and I like that. She wants you to be the best you can be and is there to help you. I have had instances where she is not available when I need same or next day care (flu, ear infection, etc.). I have seen NP's at the office or I utilize Urgent Care. I have no problem with that because I am getting the care I need when I need it for those situations. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Elihu. read more

Although Dr. Elihu is listed as my primary physician I have never had an appointment with her and usually see Steve the NP (except those unfortunate days I had to see Dr. Pam or was it Tam who was rushed and dismissed my concerns, leaving me to feel stupid for visiting a doctor for my health issues). I usually don't mind seeing Steve because he's a nice man and is quite helpful. What I don't like is his medical assistant whom I believe is named Alex. I always have to play phone tag to leave a message for Steve who is kind enough to reply but unfortunately it's Alex that delivers his messages. Alex should not be allowed to speak to patients on the phone because he is extremely rude and doesn't even give a clear message. I am leaving this review after a most recent phone encounter with him where he blatantly told me that I shouldn't have started taking the current medication I'm attempting to get off of without thinking of the withdrawal symptoms that would come at the end. How extremely rude, first the doctor and the pharmacist never mentioned the withdrawal symptoms and it was the doctor that recommended the medication in the first place. The office should hire new staff that actually values good patient costumer service, knows how to be professional, and polite. After a week of search for a primary physician for my HMO program, I read positive comments and knew I had probably found the perfect doctor but after many bad experiences I couldn't believe I'm that lucky yet. But when I first met Dr. Elihu, I knew she was the one. She was in the room with me for good 20 minutes and listened to every concern I had and had answers and solutions to all. Yeah she's pretty for an older lady. Anyway, she was behind about 45 minutes and we waited, whatev. no biggie. But she was rude, and rushed us. Talked in a manner like, "i -know-it-all". Had a few questions, and sounded irritated. The NP that my MIL goes to I guess hasn't been doing well with my MIL because her Blood pressure has been high for so long. I just started taking care of my MIL after I became a nurse, and I guess her medications have not changed. I asked and advocated, and then things got done. Like deng you really have to be up to date on your medical stuff otherwise you really have to trust the doctor or NP. My MIL is older and trusting, she don't have time to be looking up stuff in the medical field. that wasn't her career. Anyway, I asked for two doctors for her when she was under the NP (for her chest pain=heart doctor, for her electrolytes and kidney related labs=a kidney doctor). I guess Elihu wasn't happy about that. The staff: doesn't care about the job, doesn't give you a copy of the medical records when you've asked 7 times and filled out the form 7 times. But for a job like that, of course you're going to just sit and text and talk about your drunk weekend in Vegas and whatever guy you hooked up with. Even if there's 2 people in line who can hear about your weekend. In short: She rushes you, talks like she knows everything, sounds nice when you don't ask her questions, but if you do, she turns around and is rude. Not sure whether or not to say you're familiar with medicine/medical field, or not because if you don't she'll give you like no info and just sound super nice...or give you a sentence of info and shut you off. read more

I have only seen Dr. Elihu at Pulmonary Consultants Medical Group in Orange one time in 4 years...that's because every time I tried to get a same or next day appointment for sinus infection, which is the only time I see a doctor about twice a year, I couldn't get in for days, and always with a NP. I've now seen Dr. Tam twice, but even he is not available until next week--I've been suffering from an asthmatic type cough for more than a month, with all my friends begging me to go to the doctor. I loathe waiting on the phone for 20 minutes just to be told I can see a NP during the ONE time slot they have left tomorrow, which happens to be when I will have all 3 of my kids with me (rather than the morning.) No thanks. I'll continue to suffer. By the way, saw the Dr. for this very same problem a month ago, he tried to prescribe an antibiotic without even looking in my ears, nose or throat, and he said "your cough probably started with an infection." Probably! Seriously, this is why antibiotics don't even work anymore...I have serious allergies, and a friend of mine who's a PA was shocked he prescribed a very weak steroid and gave me no other help or advice...and so I continue to cough. I even passed out last week...but do you think that got me an appointment with a physician? What really cracks me up is that this place has "Pulmonary" in their name...I really hope I don't have lung cancer or walking pneumonia...I will be going to a HOAG urgent care to find out what's really going on with me. read more

Dr Elihu was my mother's pulmonary physician for several years. When I took over my mother's care because of a couple of strokes I decided to review her medications and found one for schizophrenia prescribed by Dr Elihu. One problem - my mother never has had schizophrenia and was certainly never diagnosed with it. When I questioned Dr Elihu she said she had known my mother for many years and she needed something to calm her anxiety. I do not know why a pulmonary specialist is diagnosing schizophrenia medication and immediately removed my mother from her care. Mother is doing very well and takes absolutely nothing now that is not heart related. read more

Dr. Elihu has been our family Doctor for about 3 1/2 years. She was refered to me when I was very ill and has worked with me threw some very serious physical issues where alot of other doctors just did not take the time and things got worse .Since her help I have only gotten better and I highly recommend her to anyone male or female . Dr. Eliwho (Elihu)? No, really who is she? I was originally with this medical group and was treated by Dr. Pham-a beautiful kind hearted women that moved to Texas. I was transferred to Dr. Elihu. I had this doctor for 2 years and never met her once nor did I even see her in the office. Every time and I was seen by nurse practitioner (can't recall her name) who seemed to think she was the actual dr. She would always tell me that she didn't need to check with the doctor on any questions, symptoms, labs, test because she knew everything that the doctor knows. The nurse was very arrogant and always minimized my health concerns. I finally specifically scheduled an appt w/Dr Elihu and told the appt person that I did not want to see a NP and wanted to meet w/my dr. I waited for 2 months for the appt w/the Dr only to get to my appt, check in, and go to the exam room where the NP shows up again! Oh no, not you again..sigh. I asked where was the Dr Elihu and they told me she had a last minute change of schedule. What a waste of my copay. Why does this dr take on so many patients if she can't even make the time to treat them? I got tired of the doctor's very busy schedule and changed to another medical group where I have been able to meet with my nice attentive doctor on each and every appointment. If your child has a minor flu or cold, that is all this woman is good for. Maybe not even that. Don't get me wrong, as a person she seems nice, she's actually kinda hot, but as a doctor, my experience was awful. I inform her that I need a.d.d. Meds (via a long descriptive story when I first met her) and I inform her of what happens when I'm not medicated. She prescribes it to me and I take the normal dose for a couple months, notice a tolerance, request a higher dose, ect. She then sends me to a psychiatrist who is the weirdest person on earth and all he tried to do was dig into my personal life so he could keep me coming back. Am I the only person that sees a problem with taking an extremely long written test for a.d.d.? I get back to nadia to tell her this horrible experience, and what does she do? Raise my script dose. (I thought you couldn't without a psychiatrist'a word.) I only got my point across when I stated that I was going to see another doctor, which was twice. Then today's visit, I explain what I need, and she looks at it as I'm trying to get her to be a push over and prescribe whatever I want at her will when she damn well knows this is life or death in my situation... Dr. Elihu, is sweet, kind and willing to explain things to you.....that is when you are able to see her. The office is horrible. My pharmacy has had a difficult getting through to someone and no one will return their calls. I am in need of a biopsy and the specialist has called asking if I can try to get a hold of the office because they can't get through. When I brought up the difficulty that the pharmacy had, the girls in the office just chalk it off to "our bad phone system" and didn't take the matter seriously. They have also given me the wrong result of labwork, which I didn't find out about until I requested a copy of my report. They failed to give me my pap and bonescan results, despite the bone scan report recommending treatement ( I got the results from the imaging facility). I am leaving this practice as soon as I can, once I get the biopsy sorted out. I no longer feel safe going to this office! read more

Dr. Elihu has been my doctor for more than 10 years. She is an excellent physician, with great clinical skills and a warm and compassionate demeanor. She actually takes the time to listen to me. This is important, as it is key to a correct diagnosis. My feeling is that she has an appropriate balance of the personal and the professional...and she has taken excellent care of me through some serious issues, including a cancer threat that turned out benign. I book appointments several months in advance because I know she has a large patient load. If I have a less serious situation, I usually can get in the same day to see the NP. I'm just happy that I can book an appointment with her---many doctors will no longer accept new patients. Frankly, I've found that she, among all my doctors, spends the most time asking appropriate caring questions. Her staff gets done what needs to be done. I haven't found them to be rude, just businesslike (which I like). She is really smart, which is important to me as well. I need a doctor who can connect that dots and she does.
