There was little to no physical examination, and the entire appointment felt rushed. I left wondering if I had even seen a doctor. When I tried to discuss my health concerns, I was told more than once that I should find a new doctor. Instead of listening and addressing my questions, I felt dismissed. I also got the impression that I wasn't welcome as a patient. The appointments seem to be focused on getting patients in and out as quickly as possible rather than providing personalized care. It was one of the fastest doctor's appointments I've ever had, and I left feeling like my concerns didn't matter. I expect a primary care physician to take the time to perform a proper physical, answer questions, and make patients feel heard. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Dr. Tran, and I will be finding a new doctor as he seems only to help older patients and I was told the area is mostly Asian from the front desk person and felt like since I'm not Asian I was not welcome.

I was confused because one of the receptionist told me one thing about pricing and my insurance told me another. I was suppose to get my physical free of charge, or at least covered and the office still charged me $60 (there wasn't a clear explanation as to why--also, I was told that I couldn't mention any concerns during my physical that would need medical attention, otherwise I would be charged as a regular doctor's visit and not my physical). Also, I got some troubling news about my bloodwork and it was brought to my attention in an insensitive way, where I ended up worrying about it until I got my results from my retest (which they also didn't call to confirm that it was nothing to worry about after all). To top it off, there is no real privacy in the exam rooms (I am not sure if it's like that everywhere), since I was able to hear the conversation next door--which made me almost not want to share anything sensitive.
