I was in need of a Civil Surgeon for a Green Card application. I am required to submit I-693 form,…read moreas requested by my lawyer. I found Dr Sunita office on Yelp and there was only one 4-star review. Obviously, I was skeptical at first. After further research, I found out that this office offers the most affordable price compared to all other offices in the area. Most offices charge upwards of $250 ...ouch. I was completely clueless what I needed (i.e immunization records or any forms) so I stopped by their office, to gather some information. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They informed me the exact immunization that I needed so I don't have to spend money on all the "unnecessary" ones. Their office is so close to the Orange County Immunization and Vaccination Center, so just in case you couldn't afford the expensive immunization, you can get some here at the affordable prices as well. Once I get all the information, I returned on next Friday. Apparently, Friday is their walk-in day? I was afraid of walk-in because you don't know how long you have to wait, but I was seen pretty quickly, maybe about 15 mins wait time. I have most of the immunization records so the only thing they needed to do is draw some blood for STD screening and Varicella and urine sample. Dr Sunita later performed the medical examination on me. The complete process probably took about 30 mins at most. By next Monday, they called me to let me know the sealed envelope with the completed form and my copy are ready to be picked up. Overall, the whole process cannot be any smoother. I highly recommend this office for those who are looking for a civil surgeon. I am extremely grateful that I found this office. My tips: If you have any questions, just call or come see them. I have been supported doctor Vu since he first opened his clinic, or joined Virtue Medical Group in Huntington Beach when I came in for my annual check up and lab work, I felt bad for him because he had no assistant to prep the supplies to get the blood work done. He had to run here and there and to other rooms to gather the supplies. That was my first impression. Then, I had a bad experience with rude staff on the phone from Garden Grove location just to make an appointment. Today, I had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Vu for annual check up and lab work, and it got canceled the same day. The reason was that they no longer accept my insurance. I made my appointment since Feb 20th, and today is Mar 6th. The staff asked for my insurance information when I was making the appointment. They did not inform me that my insurance is no longer accepted. I have had my work schedule blocked off for today's appointment due to fasting, and the appointment was not until 2pm. Not to mention, 2pm is the earliest that Dr. Vu can see patients at any location. To the staff or the doctor, canceling the patient's appointment at the last minute might not mean anything to them. But to the patient, it means we have to call off work, arrange our schedule around the appointment's time, fasting since the night before until the appointment time, and so much more.

I was confused because one of the receptionist told me one thing about pricing and my insurance told me another. I was suppose to get my physical free of charge, or at least covered and the office still charged me $60 (there wasn't a clear explanation as to why--also, I was told that I couldn't mention any concerns during my physical that would need medical attention, otherwise I would be charged as a regular doctor's visit and not my physical). Also, I got some troubling news about my bloodwork and it was brought to my attention in an insensitive way, where I ended up worrying about it until I got my results from my retest (which they also didn't call to confirm that it was nothing to worry about after all). To top it off, there is no real privacy in the exam rooms (I am not sure if it's like that everywhere), since I was able to hear the conversation next door--which made me almost not want to share anything sensitive.
