My family ate here for my dad's birthday, and I like a good, pompous Filipino restaurant, and as far as ostentatious goes, I think Elias is pretty much there at the top. This place in Magnolia is lush and ornate, like you're living in some old, chic, rich person's beautiful house. That the place starts from the mall and sprawls out into the al fresco area of Magnolia just drives the idea home even further.
The feast that can be had at Elias is just as luxurious as they have a wide selection of dishes that are all named wildly and creatively, making you want to try a lot of things. I was especially impressed by their variety of soups (they have six kinds of sinigang, excuse me) and desserts, which I think is beautifully nuts of them to have. I love salad too especially, and though they only have three kinds of them, the Crazy Sisa Squid, a green mango with dried squid number, is enough for me to live.
The service is great and the food can come in fast, even if they're made to serve a number of people. It can get a little tight inside the restaurant when the place is full (and we have a family of ten), but it's otherwise a lovely, full-on dining experience. read more
