The people who work there are very nice. However, the tailoring is horrible. They have completely ruined some of my clothing, altering pants from the back instead of the side and cutting off the extra fabric (Boy. Band of Outsiders. $500), and by cutting a thick cotton dress in half, leaving a bulge at the seam (Wolford, $400). All of my other tailoring was botched up too, but the other mistakes were fixed by another tailor - these two items are permanently ruined.

Why are you charging me to alter a dress I bought from your own store? Am I naive or does that really happen? 2. Why am I paying $150 to alter a $200 dress? 3. Did they not think to tell me the first or second time I came for my dress? 3. Am I not entitled as a customer to know I will be charged $150(or any amount) for alteration? I was naturally extremely frustrated, so I'll be honest. I told him that he is scamming me and questioned his sense of making customers and running a business. In return, he told me that a young girl like me shouldn't speak like that. The tailor even came and told me that she's sorry, she did not tell me that there will be a charge and lowered it to $80. The fees for the alteration were very reasonable and definitely much less that what I am use to paying from all the stores and tailors that I have been to. If you are buying a dress that has been reduced 50% and its not your size, you have to pay to make the dress look like how you want it regardless of where you go. As with most bridal stores, no pictures or videos are allowed. They were very organized, pleasant and easy to work with.

Keep in mind I didn't know the hours of the place. She automatically said no. There was no explanation but rather a curt no. I asked her why and she told me they don't open until 12pm. It would've been nice if Diane would've led with that. I asked to move the appointment to 12pm and she told me someone took that slot already. Ultimately, my appointment was moved to 1pm. I don't think appointments are honored because there was a group of people there while I was patiently waiting to try on dresses. Automatically Diane gave me a catalog to look at. She turned to the "plus size" section which didn't offer much of a selection. I flipped through the 15 pages or so and I finally found a dress on the last page. I waited 21 mins to be measured by Margaret. She didn't introduce herself but just started measuring me outside the fitting room. Diane then looked at the catalog to see which dress I selected and she told me it doesn't come in my size. I explained to her you don't offer much for curvy women and I was only able to find one dress in the catalog to my liking. Margaret said she can find me similar dresses. I told her that I want a mermaid dress with bling. The first dress I tried on was a no-no. The second dress I instantly fell in love with prior to trying it on. It fit perfectly. Customer service can definitely be improved. Although we were off to a rocky start they redeemed themselves throughout my visits. Ultimately I was blown away with how beautiful I looked with my wedding dress.
