After calling a few places, I spoke with Jorge about cleaning my AC ducts and we scheduled for the next day. He sent Javier to do the job. Javier came on time, was very friendly, thoroughly vacuumed and sprayed/ sanitized the ducts, washed the vents (that were very dirty and dusty), as well as vacuumed and sprayed the area around the AC unit by taking out every item out of that closet and even cleaning the dust bag of my vacuum machine that was there. Very tidy and left no mess behind. I was sneezing non-stop for over a month and although my nose is still a bit stuffy, I am finally no longer sneezing, yay! I called Friday afternoon, left a message, and when I didn't hear back, sent an email. The owner replied and made an appointment for the following Monday. The technician didn't speak much English, nor do I speak much Spanish, but we communicated OK. It took about 2 hours to clean six AC vents and my dryer vent. He also cleaned my AC filter and left my condo clean. The only problem was at the end when he said I owed $275 for the AC ducts and $150 for the dryer vent and I showed him the web site where it says that the dryer vent cleaning is only $75 when combined with the AC ducts. I can't speak about the actual quality of service that's why I am giving them a two star rating and not a 1 star. I asked for a quote describing what I need done we agreed on the cost, had to wait for them to show up the earliest schedule i can find was a week from the time that we agreed on the cost. Finally this guy shows up and says oh you have high ceilings, I have to come back with an additional person and I don't have a proper ladder i will come back next Wednesday. How many homes with 2 AC in Florida have low ceilings? I was already pissed about the time wasted, but accepted his stupid excuse and decide to wait again instead of using another company. Three days later this guy decides to send me an email telling me that he wants two hundred dollars extra and that he will not be able to come till next Monday instead of Wednesday as he promised! He put down tarps to mitigate the mess that came out of the ducts and was very neat about the job. Let me tell you, the difference we've noted since the cleaning is amazing! While Javier takes care of cleaning and sanitizing the ducts, his wife Mati takes care of washing each metal cover and covering all surrounding work areas. After Javier reinstalls all the coverings, Mati cleans the area leaving it as new. While usually that is not something you compliment about, but in Miami, it's as rare as a Florida panther.
