The tea towels, coasters, books, and other smalls Knick knacks give the store a fun vibe. Some of the furniture is cool albeit a bit pricey. This is a nice stop for some caffeine and a short rest. I've wanted to stop at Beanz because I drive by all the time but it's often closed because of the early hours (which I totally understand as it's a coffee shop). Well I finally caught them open on a Friday before 4pm because I was able to leave town early. I ended up chatting with the owner and he's a super nice guy. He's been running the place for almost 7 years and the hours are based on him running the place on his own. If you catch them closed one day, he may have just needed a day off because they are open 7 days a week. I wanted something cold and asked about the iced cafe which he told me had a shot of espresso and that the ice cubes were made of kona coffee so there was no watering down the drink. I was sold. While he put it together I snagged some chocolate chip cookies which were the perfect car snack and some espresso candies that I remember from back in the day. Plus my coffee was great too. I hope that I can connect with them whenever I'm driving that route and will definitely be more inclined to stop if I see them open.

The best coffee spot in town by a country mile…read more Sumter is very much a country town with the only coffee spots being the few usual chains. The one thing all have in common is that specialty coffee is really sugary. And I'm no stranger to my sugary carmel lattes, but you really taste the coffee quality here and it is FAR better than anything else you'll get it town. The only food options asides sweets and yogurt are the breakfast burritos (egg, cheese, and sausage/bacon/potato). I usually get the bacon egg and cheese burrito when I stop to get coffee during my lunch break. My favorite feature of the coffee shop is the coffee shop itself. I can't overstate how nice this place is compared to any place in town outside the few restaurants on Main Street. I went on a date here once and would recommend this to anyone looking for that first meet up to get to know each other. I recently moved from Sumter, but when I visit again in the morning/early afternoon, I'll be here again for sure.

I visited a few years ago before they were in this renovated space and remembered that I enjoyed the coffee on my earlier visit. This visit, I decided to get one of their "picks," which I believe was called a blueberry waffle latte. I really enjoyed the flavor and it wasn't overly sweet. The outdoor space was my favorite thing about it. It was adorable with tons of seating and plant life, etc - loved the vibe. Definitely worth a visit!

On this visit, we ordered the biscuit egg sandwich, and it was extremely dry with very little flavor--definitely disappointing. What also stood out was the service model. Overall, this visit was especially disappointing since it was my wife's birthday and I had suggested we go here. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations.
