Went with a group this weekend, the rental process was easy enough and the two guys helping at the dock were great. I had my own kayak so was unsure of their scheduled return time. A couple of people in the group got stuck behind a large boat coming through the canal and it caused them to be late. Upon returning the owner was at the dock swearing, yelling and ranting to people in kayaks his rental or not. His argument was how stupid are you, if you see a boat turn the F*** around and that's common sense. Common sense to me is that this is not how a business owner acts to paying customers. He was very hostile and confrontational, if you are looking to rent kayaks go to Riverworks and have a better customer service experience.

The kayaks included in the rental were great quality. We kayaked down to canal side and saw other kayaks along the way that looked so rickety and so low to the water, I was a little worried for the people inside them. This location was ideal because it took a little less than 2 hours to kayak to canal side and back.

Came to Elevator Valley for a nice relaxing activity and got just that. The shop was neat fairly price. Reading the other reviews about the poor management shock me. I had a great interaction with the owners and other employees. We were also late to our reservation and they were understanding and we still got our two hours. Great activity for our trip!

Kayaking with rented kayaks from Elevator Alley Kayak, awesome !!

Seamless. Made the reservation online. Attendant was friendly. Great location and better value than the alternatives.

I've been itching to check out this store, and I'm really not sure why I never ventured in here sooner. Maybe it just wasn't the right time. This past year my urge to hike has kicked into overdrive and lately I've been all about outdoor activities - so going in here not only cured some boredom, but got me excited for the warmer months and getting back out on the trails. The shop shares a building with another business. Once you go up the steps and into the building, the shop is straight back (and pretty hard to miss with the signs!) This shop is pretty large, with everything and anything to fill your outdoor needs. Tons of apparel with popular outdoor brands like Carhartt, hiking boots, and other useful gear for camping and hiking. You can get snow shoes and chains here for your winter hikes, and there's even some gear for your dog! I only came in here for the socks but I also left with these cool fake "skipping stone" dog toys, and a double sided spoon/fork. Total score! Looking forward to returning in the summer to fulfill more of my hiking needs. P.S. I love my socks. They're stylish and keep my feet warm!

I must have written that review way before I gave myself enough time to decide if I liked the socks or not, but here I am 4 years later and I now EXCLUSIVELY WEAR DARN TOUGH SOCKS. But most of all, thank you, present me for having the courage to admit I was wrong and seek amends. (And an honorable mention also to Hannah K. for reminding me just how much of an oaf I really am)

The staff kind and had patience and compassion with us in a difficult time. I cannot easily state how much the process was easy, and while not painless also not tied up in bureaucracy as I had expected it to be. The young woman who was helping us was incredible (I unfortunately cannot remember her name, and I hate that. I'd really like to call her out by name). The little I looked at the firearms pricing I think they are very competitive, but as a non-New Yorker for the past 38 years, I can't purchase there so I didn't dig in deep. We also picked up a little Camo outfit for our 18Month old grandson while there. Pricing for the work they did was very reasonable, and she made sure we were getting enough insurance in case the unthinkable happened. I cannot say how they improved a horrible moment for us. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

They have been more than accommodating and extremely helpful. I'm all for supporting the small "mom & pop" stores over the big chains and they make it so much easier to do by always making you feel like you've been a customer for years, even on your first visit. They will always have my business and I will always suggest them as store to shop at even if you don't purchase anything.

I hate to write a bad review of any business, but the staff demonstrated a fundamental lack of care in my opinion. I am not from the Niagara region. A friend recommended NQ to me, and so I used their Airsoft part ordering service. This process took a couple months, with an extreme lack of communication. My friend would frequently contact the staff, and they would consistently not be aware of the status of our products. Apparently their parts "person" would not be in, and they would not maintain consistent contact with him. NQ would never give an ETA, citing problems at the border with the United States. When the products finally did arrive, we made the hour or so trip into St. Catherine's. Little did we know that the parts were not even ordered for one of my friend's guns. I handed over mine (CYMA M14 and KJW M9) to be fitted with a new barrel and hop up, and my friend gave his Desert Eagle to their gun technician. They then proceeded to tell me (after a week or so) that the hop up replacement was not necessary and that the barrel did not fit. They did not have access to my guns. I get that. But if they did not know something, they should have asked. I still got charged $25 for labour and my friend's gun was worse off than it came in. In terms of selection, NQ is not bad. However, DMZ does get a G&G shipment each month. I would place an order with them and get guns with them instead. I understand certain things take time, but I was never informed of the delay and was never questioned if parts would fit. They still charged me $25 and told me "this stuff happens". A fundamental lack of customer service.
