OMG: Get your fastest, nearly painless, totally awesome Brazilian at Elevation with Katie. I would say that I am a near-expert at getting this zone waxed and never before has it been this easy or lasted this long (going on 2 weeks and it pretty much still looks like the day I got it!) I visited Elevation whilst on a business trip but otherwise iI'd be a regular with Katie.

A coworker referred me to Elevation after I had complained of receiving shellac/gel manicures at other salons that barely made it past a week, so far elevation has not disappointed. Kelly has done an amazing job both times I've seen her, definitely the best manicure I've ever received. One even passed the test of time after I had to cancel and reschedule an appointment that left me with the manicure for three weeks without chips! I have also seen Ashely and she is great as well! Both have lovely personalities that make me feel like I'm spending an hour with a friend. It's also worth mentioning that the nail room is beautiful and modern with big windows and nice views. A shellac manicure at elevation is a higher price than some other salons you may stumble upon but it's definitely worth it. Plus twice now I've benefited from unexpected specials or coupons.

Shellac mani by Jenny. This pic was taken AFTER a weekend spent playing in the woods! Yay shellac and YAY JENNY!

I manage summer camps and outdoor programs for kids so my job is pretty physically demanding. I like to treat myself to a spa day occasionally to ease my sore muscles and feel a bit more human after a long week of hiking boots and campfires. Elevation gave me exactly what I was looking for. Jenny gave me a spa pedi and shellac mani and was an absolute joy to chat with the entire time. The massage chair was wonderful and the view of the capitol and the lake from the salon windows is amazing. Mallory cut my hair and did exactly what I wanted. I wear my hair short and she was able to give me a cut that is both cute and easy to style. I just got back from another weekend at camp and the picture of my nails was taken after I spent an entire day building campfires, running an industrial dishwasher, and hauling supplies. Shellac is awesome, but only if it is applied correctly. Thanks, Elevation! You just earned a new customer! The prices are on the higher side but we'll worth the atmosphere and service. They have good package deals and you will be treated like royalty while you're there. Park in the garage for only $2 if you think you'll be there for awhile. Street parking is easy to find in the area as well.

    Perfect shellac manicure by Sammie

I got a great shellac manicure from Sammie. First she removed the previous shellac and did a very gentle and thorough job. My nails still looked great after the removal. She was very precise, not only in the application of the gel, but in preparing my nails and shaping them. She's friendly and told me to be in touch if I didn't get at least 10-14 days of wear with this manicure. (My previous one at Elevation started chipping and lifting after a week.) She ended with a relaxing hand massage. The view of the lake is nice, too!

Someone greeted us with tea after we got changed, and we waited in the lounge until our appointment time. While the lounge was comfortable and really nicely appointed, I don't think that I would pay an add--on cost to extend my time in the space. The steam and hot saunas were really nice, and I liked that you can reserve it to use privately. An hour is quite long. It would be great if they had a 45 minute price option. This is super specific, but it seemed strange they didn't have handles on both sides of the doors in the steam sauna. While I knew this when booking. I was very surprised that the rate per person is the same for using the space. If you are reserving it for a set time, there should be a discounted rate for additional people. We were glad we went, but I think they could definitely make it more affordable for couples or groups while still charging extra for the cleaning and washing of the additional towels and robes.

The environment is too sterile and bright to really relax, there's no real walls that go up all the way in the space so it's hard to have a silent moment. The food they offer is bird food or microwaved handmade food that's overpriced, the chai is from a packet, the sanctuary again isn't set up to lounge your options are a chair, the floor, or maybe a swing chair. The steam room never got hot, and the sauna was just ok. Also if you arrive early prepare to be board or not offered to wait inside. Just not worth the money at all.

The massage table was not very comfortable. I booked a hot stone massage. I got a 60 min massage that I had to do face down and only got my back and legs done. I had to say several times that what he was doing to my legs was very uncomfortable. I got a trigger point massage (which was OK but not what I booked) The back massage was good. Never got the hot stones because he didn't like them. I have had very good hot stone massages before. He used hot towels instead

My experiences at Indulge Spa have been excellent, thanks to Greg…read more Greg is a truly extraordinary massage therapist. I am still trying to understand how it is that his way of doing massage works so marvelously well. Part of it, upon reflection, must be due to his seemingly endless reserves of stamina, and even more so, to his robust and unwavering strength. Because he does not struggle, at any time, to do the work, because he does not tire, does not weaken, he can apply whatever needs to be done with his unique, gentle precision. I've had clinicians struggle with their hands, knuckles, fingertips, even use their elbows, and so on, and when that happens, they lose the feel for the work, and the massage is rather less effective. Bruises occur as a side-effect, as well, which brings me to another thing I don't understand about Greg: His gentleness. Greg has a way of releasing the tension in the body with no sense whatsoever of drama. I do not experience a flutter or a fight, or really almost anything, except the awareness that, in a matter of a dozen seconds, my aching, clenched muscle has relaxed, has been set free of the prison it set for itself. I leave with less stress, physical and emotional, and I sleep far better (as reflected in my overnight HRV readings, as well), and I function with greater patience and clarity the next day, during which I also find that I am not bruised or even tender anywhere. I am, simply, more myself, because I no longer carry the unwanted tension I was burdened with for so long, tension that curtailed some substantial portion of my thoughts and my feelings. I think I may have repeated myself; I think that Greg's strength is one key to his gentleness. While others do everything they can to be strong enough, Greg is already far more than strong enough, so he can focus instead on being gently effective. The remarkable thing is, is that he does focus on exactly that, and that through such means he performs his work so very, very well. Greg's compassion is extraordinary, even among massage therapists. What further surprised me is that his acumen in the realm of anatomy not only informed his massage, but that Greg uses his knowledge to enhance my kinesthetic awareness, discussing with me some of the things I could do differently that might help. Greg's mastery of physical form and function is greater than that of any physical therapist I have worked with, and I've had a few good ones. Here, too, Greg is helping me, even outside of the clinic, to live my life more as I wish to be able to. Greg is a dedicated and gifted massage therapist, and much more, besides. I'd follow him anywhere, because a genuinely great massage therapist is hard to find -- I've looked.
