From start to finish, Elevation has been the best to work with. I did a lot of research and talked to multiple companies, and Elevation by far has it put together the best. I opted to do their Energy Efficiency package to go with my solar panels, along with the Curb monitoring so I can see all my energy usage broken down by room and appliance. Price-wise was very competitive. I was kept informed and they were efficient. They do their own work in-house, which is a huge plus for me, and their expertise was the best. Had it operating for a few months now, attached is my bill.

Several months ago rep Daniel Dutton came out to my home and gave me a quote for solar. After looking at the pricing my partner and I decided we were going to pass. Being a new homeowner we had several companies reach out to us to try to get us to do solar. About five months later I got a call from solar elevations. They wanted to give me another estimate and when I said I believe they had already come out to my house they said that they hadn't. I agreed and scheduled a consult with them. The day of my consult Daniel showed up again and I realized it was in fact the same company that had previously quoted me. This time he showed up with his fiancé with an offer that had to be signed that day. He represented himself as vice president of elevations solar. Because the contract looked better but we weren't 100% Daniel advised us we could still cancel the contract within three days. A few days later I received a text stating that another contract had to be signed however this time we were adding a new Electrician that was not previously told to us. They told us it was just a logo change however we were told that solar Elevations was the only company doing the install. Obviously my partner and I decided to look further into it and decided after looking into reviews on the electrical company installer, and the reviews on yelp for elevations solar... that it was not a wise idea to proceed I reached out to Daniel and let him know that we no longer wished to proceed with the contract. He then told me we could put a hold for two weeks while we thought about it. Which was funny because initially he told me they could not do holds..... Next day he texted me and said that there would be a $1500 cancellation fee...... I told him I would not pay the $1500 cancellation fee because I had not signed the secondary contract of a different installer that I was not aware of initially.... So I. Reached out to elevation solar found out; 1.DANIEL IS NOT THE VICE PRESIDENT of solar elevations 2. The company will always work with you if you need time to think about it. 3. The company never forces you to make a decision on the spot as Daniel did I'm thoroughly upset and unimpressed with the sales tactics used and will not ever use daniel as a sales guy! Definitely DONT RECOMMEND this sales guy and suggest you all do thorough research. Always look at what equipment your being Given and then look into the cost of buying it yourself!!! P.s. luckily a nice gentleman by the name of Anthony removed the cancellation charge! he was very kind informed me that's not how solar elevations work and they will be reaching out to this rep....

These boxes have been cluttering my gazebo for three weeks.

I had high hopes for Elevation Solar but they bungled three different installation dates that were spaced out over a period of 3 months. The original installation for panels in my backyard was supposed to have been at the end of March. Elevation Solar was a no call / no show. The customer service rep who was handling my account told me that the surveyor who had initially surveyed my property had not drawn plans to scale for these panels. I was told that the plans would have to be redrawn. Since I had put roughly 1/3rd of the total cost down at the start of this contract with the balance due upon completion, I was not happy when the accounting department for Elevation Solar began contacting me to request payment for the remaining balance. Insofar as the solar panels had not been installed, I didn't see why I should have paid the balance due. I said as much in an email which they ignored. I also complained to my customer service rep and they didn't listen to him either. A month passed. Elevation Solar finally gave me a 2nd installation date. The crew arrived at 7:30 AM. After offloading panels and parts in my backyard, THEY LEFT! They explained that they hadn't brought any tools with them. Why a solar panel installation crew would arrive without the tools needed to actually install these panels is just bizarre. I was not amused when their accounting department again began to harass me for payment for work that was never completed. Elevation Solar subsequently made a third installation appointment for the following week. They were a no call / no show. Customer service explained that they still didn't have all of the parts needed to complete the installation. I don't understand why they scheduled an installation if they were still missing parts. The customer service rep offered me a discount if I would stay with Elevation Solar. I asked him via email how much of a discount we were talking about. I also wanted to know when the installation would be completed. After five days passed without the courtesy of a reply, I requested and received a cancellation of service. The company has promised a refund less the $2000 they charged me for an upgrade to my electrical breaker box. I'm now into the 2nd week following cancellation but no refund has been received. My backyard is still cluttered with solar panel parts. The only response I've had from Elevation Solar to repeated requests to remove these parts have been, "We're working on it." As you can see from the pictures, I now have weeds growing over the panels. This project was a disaster from start to end. Part of the problem appears to be with the quality of internal communications between customer service, operations, and accounting. Operations had several issues but didn't share these issues with customer service. This resulted in customer service scheduling installation dates that operations had already decided were not feasible. This also resulted in their accounting department repeatedly billing me for work that had never been done. Edit: 5/22/2020 Although I was told by customer service that it would take WEEKS to issue a refund, after this problem was kicked up to management, my refund was expedited. Management also made arrangements to pick up the solar panel parts that had been left in my backyard for several weeks. Management subsequently asked me to edit my review. This edit was the result.

Explanation of tax credit. They may you think you're getting money back when you file taxes. That is absolutely not at all the case.

From my initial email inquiry and the Sol-Up team's immediate follow-up, I knew I had made the right choice. I was fortunate to be assigned to work with Antonija, who, instead of rushing us into quick signatures or pushing products and lease programs that primarily benefit installers, patiently walked my wife and me through a full Solar 101 presentation. Admittedly, I'm someone with minimal patience, but I actually enjoyed the presentation and learned a great deal about product selection and design considerations. Sol-Up has been in business since 2009, and it shows. They are highly proficient at navigating the many obstacles in today's solar environment while remaining 100% customer-focused throughout the entire transaction. Antonija, Rita, and the leadership team treated us like family, offering sensible, customized solutions for each of our three rooftops. With the federal solar tax incentive set to decline at year-end, I highly recommend reaching out to Antonija and her team for a truly "Simple and Seamless" solar solution. You will not be disappointed.

I called and asked where they all went (I saw them loading them into trucks on Ring video) and the rep said they were all broken, they were not. They also broke a few tiles on the garage, but repaired them. I have had a couple issues with the panels since, and they have been responsive, although it may take a few days. Overall, a pretty good solar company.

They do have polite people and do decent work but I did not have a good experience with their repair business. An annual inspection turned up a couple of small problems - low refrigerant in a system and a nearly failed condenser fan in another. No argument with that conclusion so I said go ahead with fixes. Got the invoice and should have paid more attention - a price gouge of epic proportions. Here's what I sent them that got rejected by their system: PS - registered professional engineer who should have paid more attention. 'I was not here when this work was finished, and I have no issue at all with the technician and work performed. He was professional. I agreed to all of the work. But I regret now not doing additional homework on the cost. A one pound 410a add should cost more like $100 at the high end all in. Easy to find on google or Yelp), given you can get a 25 lb Jug in the range of $250. And yes, there is labor and overhead in that , but for for a 30 minute job $325 seems excessive. I also was able to source the replacement fan motor with an identical Lennox model# from a number of sources- from around $200. Again, that doesn't include labor. So if I'm generous, you got $300 in parts, add 20% for miscellaneous. And yes, I get that there is 'Bob's guarantee' and you have overhead, but an 1800+ bill for less than two labor hours of work, make it 3 with travel time and even at 150 per hour - and maybe 450 in parts and material -the total markup at 2x is to me excessive. Plus your billing is deficient in the level of detail so it's even hard to understand how you could add it up to that much. My wife paid the bill of course, but with these prices even though the service is good I won't be using or recommending Bobs for repairs in the future. I'll do my homework.' PS - last postscript. You may have noticed Bob's no longer responds to Yelp reviews. Must be too busy. Or they don't care. Neither one is a good sign.

My 7.54kW system used 29 - 260W LG panels split into 2 arrays and utilized both M215 and M250 Enphase microinverters. The reason I wanted to try 2 different microinverters was to compare the performance. In the end, it really didn't matter much. Bottom line, shading and weather were the dominate factors in power generation and all the crazy details I looked at were in the noise. It was still fun at the time. So 6+ years after having this system installed on my roof, I have had ZERO problems (kudos to LA Solar Group and the quality of the hardware). My system has produced over 72 MegaWatt-Hours of power and each and every solar panel and microinverter has reported data (input voltage/current, output voltgae/frequency, and power) from day one over that period of time. This telemetry allows me to see exactly what's going on in my system and if any one of the 29 panel/microinverters acts up, I will know. My system has already paid for itself based on my calculations, so I am a very happy customer. In addition, when I have questions for the LA Solar team, I still get answers. Highly recommended. With the cost of solar dropping in price over the years, it's really a no-brainer.

The 6.8 KW (peak) solar system that these folks installed for me really rocks! So if you are…read moreplanning to install a solar system, look no further and hire this company. I say this because I did my homework right and had obtained over six estimates, and this company beat all the other five not only on price and quality, but also on other (rather important) things as you can see below. 1. Price: This company beat all the others by nearly 20%, and all the other five estimates came very close to one another to the point where I was suspecting that there is some sort of illegal "price fixing" that is rampant industry-wide, but not for this company since it came far away (and below) all the others. 2. Equipment Quality: The system they installed was the most advanced compared to all the other bids. It used higher-end Panasonic panels, and Enphase micro-inverters and combiner. Others bid for lesser-quality no-name panels with one string inverter and a set of optimizers. After much research, I think a micro-inverter based system is superior to the string-inverter based system (so don't listen to the confusing information you find on the web, which portrays the two types of systems as being "equivalent"). So with a total of just 20 panels, my projected annual solar energy production should be about one and a half times my consumption. This should bring down my PG&E bill to the minimum $10/month, and should be able to provide all the electric energy needed for an extra electric car I may purchase in the future. 3. System design: This company had the most precise and realistic design, and that is very important because some of the bids I received were not realistic as they sketched more panels on my South-facing side of the roof than that side could possibly fit. This inflates the projected energy production, but is NOT realistic. In my case, the optimal design was to use the Southern-facing and Eastern-facing sides of the roof and to arrange the panels 50/50 on both sides. This company nailed the design right, but other bids like I said was either plain wrong, or were not realistic. With this design I was able to get a peak production of 6.2 KW, which is close to the theoretical 6.8 KW peak (the difference being mostly due to the orientation of my house). 4. Consumption and Net Monitoring: Most contractors let you monitor ONLY the energy production of your solar system, but this company gave me the ability to monitor the CONSUMPTION of energy by my house and the net energy exchanged between me and utility company on an instantaneous basis (actually every 15 minutes) and on the same Enlighten App as shown in the picture. This is really useful if you would like to do any energy planning in your house to see who/what is really consuming electricity. Granted that you can see the consumption on your utility website, but that data is one or two days delayed and does not show up in the same view as the production, and these two problems make the data from the utility company useless for that purpose. 5. Other: All the folks of the company I have dealt with are ethical in their dealing and are reasonable. The company installed the system in two days, which is very quick. Getting the consumption monitoring to work correctly took a while longer though.
