ABC claims to know their staff well, but didn't know how physically limited our favorite caregiver was, until we informed them that she could no longer perform the duties. There is an apparent lack of training on the duties and expectations. NThe next two gals were young and couldn't cook the most basic foods, and one lacked initiative to do anything without being told, and even then had an attitude as if she was being interrupted. On a good note, when we needed 24/7 care for a few weeks, ABC covered that pretty well. We now have one caregiver who is great and gets lots done with a good attitude but she has already missed 5 shifts out of maybe 20 so far. Hopefully things go smoothly from this point forward

Finally after a long wait getting in for services, we were first upset by not getting the therapist we were promised. This wasn't a huge deal. Once services were started, half of our appointments were cancelled. We still continued to show when not cancelled, and our son seemed to be making some progress. We were then told we wouldn't be able to keep our appointment time, and a new one would be scheduled. This involved taking our son in early one day a week, and having him arrive late to school. We felt it was worth it, and even arranged it with his school. But then we were told his therapist was out of town, and we would be contacted to start services when she was back. Well it's been over a month since then, and we have had zero contact from anyone. Upon finally calling we found he was dropped, and no one bothered to contact us. Apparently that's "not how we do things" is what we were told. Upon asking for contact information for someone else in the company, we were told he is the only one, and there's no one to talk to. This is obviously a lie. This is beyond frustrating, and this is not you you treat disabled children and their parents! Also, his services are being paid through a waiver. I would be VERY interested to see if all the last minute cancellations were still being paid for, and to see when they stopped receiving payment after dropping him. Others need to know what they may be getting into with this company!

We placed my Mother in Memory Care at the Balfour in Longmont, and I can't say enough about the…read morequality of care there! The staff was amazing, Nicole G. was also amazing in helping us prepare for moving Mom into Memory care in a way that made the transition seamless. When it came time to bring hospice in, the helped coordinate that service, and again, worked together with the hospice staff to provide compassionate, caring services the entire time Mom was there. The staff showed warmth and the utmost respect for both our family, and our Mother. We felt she was safe and in the best hands possible to make sure she got everything she needed. Balfour, at every turn, went above and beyond for our family member. She lived there for 2 1/2 years, spending the last year in memory care. All of the staff, top to bottom, are loving and kind. The clinical care is top notch. And at the end, the nurses became family to all of us. Balfour is a community, residents have friends and some even bring their dogs. It's a vibrant community and a gorgeous facility. You can't go wrong.
