He helps you from where you are, it's not a cookie cutter approach. Second, he doesn't push supplements. That's a big one for me. It's not that I don't agree with kinesiology because I do. But when I'm going for an adjustment, I want that. I don't want to add hundreds of dollars for supplements that might not interact with others I already take. Third, he's real. He knows what he's doing and adjusts when there's new information. Fourth, he has tools-laser, decompression, etc. There's another doctor there who also seems good. I know someone who sees him. It's the intelligent and simple approach. And the staff is incredible. They welcome you, converse, I love them here.

After 4 sessions I was no better than when I first started seeing the Chiro. I was referred to Dr. Julie Barter by a friend and so I made an appointment. She adjusted me in ways I've never been adjusted before. It was the most thorough adjustment I've ever had. She even adjusted my cranial sutures. Awesome! She uses muscle testing and your meridians to let her know what's going on where and what needs to be adjusted. It was an amazing experience and an extremely valuable one. I feel aligned and functional again! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! During my second appointment with her she really helped clarify some "untruths" I've been told about a supposed health issue that I thought I had but, it turns out it's not an issue at all. I think we are living in a world where people like to talk and often only listen for their turn to talk. Dr John will actually truly listen to you. He will listen to you speak and he will listen to you intuitively. He will discern angles emotionally and spiritually you have not considered. I really love this whole person approach to healing he implements. Last winter I was walking my dog and fell on ice and seriously messed up my left arm so bad I could not work and I could barely just get through the day because of the pain and because my arm was just dangling by my side. I had to lift it with my other hand. Dr John worked with me over the course of two months and I was good as new without any drugs or surgery. I have recommended several of my friends and clients go see him with many different painful issues and they all come back to me happy with the results and no longer in pain. Its also not just his work that is testament to his passion for helping others. Dr John does interesting projects, continuing education, volunteer work and is clearly constantly learning and giving. To me this is the hallmark of a true healer. Im grateful to have Dr John in our little community. We all benefit from his presence as he improves the quality of life for many.

My back has had a flare up similar to three years ago except now I'm in Sacramento and am having a hard time finding a chiropractor as holistic and comprehensive as Dr.John. He spent (the normal chiro-limited time) fully engaged with many adjustments related to the pain as it moved and something I have yet to experience again he did a variety of muscle strengthening exercises that I know helped me recover. He offered lots of things for me to do at home and I wish I could find someone half as good here.

It makes a difference to keep up on my spinal alignment. This was not my first experience with Johnston. My daughter had an accident at age 5 and suffered from neck pain that would sometimes lock up and she couldn't move. The pediatrician recommended lodging these episodes. That sounded crazy to me. Log episodes? No other solutions?! I think they gave her muscle relaxers but that was it. My husband was not a believer in chiropractic care so it took several years before he agreed trying this method could help. And it did help! Her neck has never locked up again and she rarely needs follow up care. Even my husband has now received care here and is a believer. Highly recommend Dr Johnston and his team. Sue Bossert

Then I saw the Dr. and he asked if we could do our session without masks... I said absolutely not. I then watched him adjust his mask multiple times by sticking his fingers into his mask, and pulling it up. He the proceeded to touch my face (without asking or cleaning his hands first). I was then told I had plantar fasciitis. I told him that my pain was in a different part of my foot then where plantar fasciitis is, he told me it was in the beginning stages, and that I need $55 orthotics. After getting two second opinions, I was told that not only do I not have plantar fasciitis, but the orthotics I was given were way too hard for most peoples feet, and that they would probably be incredibly painful if I used them. Then the bill came and the only way I could pay was by writing my cc on a peice of paper and mailing it (absolutely not going to happen) or send a check. I guess they don't realize that it's not 1994 anymore. It was inconvenient, I didn't really feel listened too and it felt unsafe. I absolutely will never go back
